I have been to diff places in Delhi but unless you really know the person you will be lucky to get what Tabla Pandit or Ustad ji get, specially if you are not expert in knowing which Tabla is really good. Never go to Prince Tabla maker in Delhi they are cheat. Next time I will try Jonty hope he does not differentiate making tabla for Pandits/Ustad and common player like me. Best is to ask your Tabla Guru or if u dont have one ask some Tabla Guru u can find to get you tabla. I have seen if u cannot afford two or three tabla then Kali 1 C# fits best or Kali 2 D#. If you have already a good tabla set then I recommend just changing the pudi no need to buy new tabla. Again as I said High Price does not mean you are getting Best Tabla as these Tabla Shop guys are very smart in knowing how much you know and can play with price considerably. You would think all will get same quality of Kali 2 table or Kali 1 tabla wrong.
