Miss Maigue, I heard over today's broadcast (21 July 2023) of Tv Patrol, that you would sing our National Anthem over at President's 2023 SONA. On that very occasion, please say or sing "DILA" instead of "Dilag" which has long been unintentionally replaced, mispronounced or rather overlooked by many in our supposed to be a respect and adoration to our country but instead being tarnished by this single word whenever it is uttered or sung incorrectly in our schools, public libraries , military grounds and camps and in all government institutions even in Senate. By you singing our "Lupang Hinirang" with a correct lyrics, rhythm and duration will reeducate the entire country with rather correct lyrics. Just to highlight the significant Miss Maigue, why you need to change the word is, the "Poem" in Oxford Dictionary means, a piece of writing in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by particular attention to diction (sometimes involving rhyme), rhythm, and imaginary. The "Dilag" in 3th Stanza in our LH is referring to a "Tula", so what's the Dilag or Dalaga or Dalagita or Dalanginding or a teen ager got to do with the Tula or a Poem? So ang Tula in tagalog, ay mga taludtod, kadalasan daw ay matatalinhagang salita, at karaniwan ay may sukat at tugma na mga salita. The "Dila" or Tongue in English is our fleshy, muscular organ in the mouth used for tasting, licking, swallowing and articulating speech in humans. take note "Articulating Speech" therefore, it must be and should be "DILA" or Tongue hindi Dilag so one can articulate words or speech. Henceforth Miss Maigue, by your upcoming Nationwide and even Worldwide singing or our National Anthem, inaasahan ko na ang ating "Lupang Hinirang" will finally be sang correctly. I am in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia for several years now and I have been pleading the same to Pacquiao and his singers of our National Anthem during his time and even to GMA and ABS-CB's Karen Da Villa, they don't seemed to hear my request. I hope you'll see the significant of this request Miss Maigue. God Willing, you'll be written along side with the History of our National Anthem. At sa panahon nang himagsikan, it's through the Tula that our heroes were able to convey their messages to their comrades or to the people, thus "May Dila Ang Tula" (The thought of the poem) ay naaarok o naiintindihan ng tao (Its message were being understood or conveyed).
