Great video. It shows me clearly what kind of seas I do not want to cross in. The Mrs would have demanded me turn around and take her back with the first 3 footer.
That looked like a heck of a ride over. What were the seas that day? Hope the trip back was better. We are heading over July 20-24 with the Robalo owners group. It will be my first time and I can't wait.
It was as a guy told me when we got to customs. A sporty ride he was on a 40, center console. The seas were 2 to 4 with occasional sets of 5 ‘ every 4 sec with wind 15 gust to 20 out of the east. Took us 5.5 hrs had to keep tacking north. But I would go again in a heartbeat were already planning to go back. The ride home took 1 hr 45 min seas less than 2 with 10 sec. You will have a blast if you need any tips I will be more than glad to share what I learned
Yes we’re staying 8 days hopefully weather permitting. Thanks for subscribing. We’re slowly getting a lil better at the filming. Great content also on your channel I also subscribed. Keep in touch maybe we will meet in Bimini next yr :)
@@CatastrophicOffshore you obviously have more money than I do. Gees. From Florida and wash the trailer everytime it gets put in salt water. Even if you have the stainless brakes seems to rust everywhere
@@rileyshane78 Yes I wash it every time i use it. Just not before we head out to cross. Seems like a good idea though may save me some money . I will have to see if they have a place at the ramp to wash.
@@rileyshane78 One other thing I forgot to mention I use salt away religiously. Also I keep the entire trailer and brakes stay saturated with Fluid Film Great stuff!!! If you don't use Fluid Film I suggest you give it a try :)
@@rolandvance6663 2 to 4 ft waves wind out of the east 15 gust to 20 I would do it again but it was a long crap ride. Coming back was smooth ran full throttle

Where did you put in in Fort Lauderdale? And what hotel did you stay at?
Great video, I can see it was a bit wavy lol. We crossed 2 times this year, June and September, amazing experience!!
Yes it was a tough ride. We’re going back next year in July
@@CatastrophicOffshore Awesome we're going next year too, hopefully for at least 5 days. BTW great content, Subscribed!!

@@CatastrophicOffshore That would be nice!!
Awesomely awesome 😎 ❤❤❤
How did uncs boat do, not much freeboard on that vessel
It did pretty well considering the weather. But would not attempt it again in the bay boat. It took quite a few over the bow.
What is the name of that boat ramp?
Harbour towne Marina
That ride over made it 💯👍🏼
No doubt
You guys definitely did not check weather before leaving.
Yes I did that day was the best day /option for about 4 days. Wasn’t dangerous just sucked
Living the dream. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Do you guys wash your trailers off with fresh water before you take off?

Doubtful. That might be too responsible.
Nc in the house lol that's a long wet ride but looks awesome. I was trying to figure out the accent till I seen the holden beach shirt.
It was a ride for sure going back next year. Yep NC is home😁
@@CatastrophicOffshore we fish out of ocean isle mostly but live 2 hrs from the coast. So we know about those rough rides
