Without mother no one can become the chirag of that vans. Eg.- If a person is in a womb and his father died his birth will not affect but if mother die his existence will end.
OR
If father remarried other women which is not the boy's mother and the women give birth to another boy so this boy is also considered as chirag of the vans in eyes of paternal grandparents but in the eyes of his step mother and step brother he is always seen as boy of different women.
