- I have been working on this pyramid record for almost 5 years now. Starting in 2018, I began working on a 102-layer pyramid, but eventually, I moved it to 103. But every time it failed. Recently, I tried again, and it failed. I tried it one more time...

Anyone want to try and guess what movie I was watching at 3:47 ?
What kind?
@@KennyPlayDomino it was one of the movies on my Movie playlist
@@MasterLDH Oh, let me see which one
Actually, I don't know cuz I just joined today though lol
@@KennyPlayDomino it's one of the ones at the mid-bottom
Also, here’s a weird thing that happened while building: one night, I was recording a time-lapse of me working on the pyramid, and I stupidly forgot to turn off the recording before I went to sleep! So that recording went on for the night, and when I woke up, I found a 36-minute long time-lapse video on there.
This is incredible!! Massive congrats on claiming this record, especially since you kept trying after such a big fail!
Thanks!
Bro that is amazing !! Congrats for the determination you had…
Thanks!
Sorry I didn't see your comment until right now.
Congrats on the record!
Thanks!
(also next record I'm gonna go for is the WR 1/4 pyramid, then the WR tall quarter pyramid...)
@@MasterLDHjust telling you, a 30x30 1/4 pyramid has around 5600 dominoes, so maybe wait for ur shipment to start building it.
@@3HFDominoBuilder lol, it already arrived 😏
I think I just can do it to 68 layers , but you're 103 layers , congrats ! :)))
How many dominoes do you have?
@@MasterLDH i just have over 1000 dominoes
Yay you did it!
Good job
Thanks!
Very Well Deserved, Congrats!
Thank you so much 😀
@@MasterLDH no problem!
Cool!
is there a rule that the structure Must be only 1 donino wide ? . because it would be very handy to have after every 20 dominoes a small butress-like extention to make the structure more stable and less likely to lean over
I have abuot 3,000 dominoes that I haven't used in any project so, I could also try to take this World Record :P
I think that to be free-standing, the main structure cannot be supported by anything, and while adding those extra supports out of the bottom may be legal, a lot of people may consider that cheating. Here's my tip though: don't EVER use a template unless you know you can keep every layer even. And when you're at the lower layers (below 50 layers) keep checking to see if anything is leaning and adjust it, because even a tiny lean at the bottom can cause the whole thing to fall later on. Also, make sure the dominoes are STRAIGHT. As in perfectly straight. Curved walls fall more easily than straight ones. My advice would be to use a template and a yard stick, or just two yardsticks if you want to.
@@MasterLDHabout those supports: the ones I'm thinking of are not like towers built next to the wall but are actualy a part of the structure . . kinda like making the wall it's self wider in a few places . . so is that allowed ? or does that make it a bit too 3-dimentional if you get what I mean ?
@bluewhalestudioblenderanim1132 lol, those were the supports I meant when I said that.
@@MasterLDHone more thing I'd like to add is: there are 2 ways of building this structure
the "slow and precise way" where I try to get the placement of the dominoes as perfect as I can, and the slightly faster "get it done" way where it's a little less about perfection with some dominoes being slightly closer together but still keeping the sides as straight as I can.
do you also see it like that ? or is it just me ?
@@bluewhalestudioblenderanim1132 no, not really, just so long as it all falls down. But doing it the faster way is how I failed those first times.
