  • World Monuments Fund is co-sponsoring a research, sustainable development, and rehabilitation project at Chankillo, a ceremonial center that was built over 2,300 years ago in the Casma Valley, located in the Ancash region of Peru. The following video shows a virtual simulation of the sun’s cyclic movement, registered with great precision in the peaks and valleys of the Thirteen Towers.

Thank you. If the people who build these structures could watch this video they would laugh a lot. We people of the 21 century, we know everything with absolute certainty, dont we ?

Great place to visit, but it is a bit hot, so you have to bring solar protection, hat, and a lot of water!!!!
