TIFF-ANY PAPER I understand, but he still played with Dan Oh’s emotions and stuff when he was aware of himself. He pushed her way because he didn’t want to lose her, and at the same time he couldn’t stand her being with another dude and was so stupidly possessive that it can’t be all blamed on the writer. Yes, the writer is the one who made him that way, but he still continues to be a jerk after that. His family was messed up, and it gives more reason and understanding to why he did som bad things, but that doesn’t excuse the stuff he did tho.
He is not toxic. The writer makes him act like that when he became self-aware himself, he released that he liked Dan oh. But she liked someone else. At the end, he couldn't show his feelings as he wanted.😔

The smile has left your eyes is my all time favorite. If they didn't have constant challenges thrown at them, they would've been endgame. And in a way they were.
I have seen these dramas and these relationships were clearly toxic, but seeing girls make excuses for the male characters make me realise how ingrained toxic relationships are.
The smile has left your eyes was the only drama where I thought that it’s really just a mask he’s wearing. A bad mask. I loved how both would grow with each episode.
I'm seriously IN LOVE with your edits they're just GORGEOUS, you choose the right song and put the right scenes from the right dramas and it turns out WONDERFUL 😍
Upon breaking down the character of Yoo Jung in Cheese in the Trap, you'll come to see this person who has anti-social tendencies (manipulative, deceiving, charismatic and has difficulties understanding other's emotions) who actually only wanted to feel normal and accepted. It sad to see that his struggles to relate with other people has caused a rocky relationship with Seol. It was painful to see the push and pull they had with each other.
So true. Not justifying his wrong doings but people failed to understand his character but I should blame writer cause they never gave Jung much screen time to show the struggle of his character and his character development. They were too busy giving a second lead syndrome that they ruined the ending.
People still defending Kyung in the comments like he didn't choose to continue being a piece of shit in the shadow because he thought he deserved Dan Oh despite the fact that she made it clear multiple times that ahe did not love him 🙄 Once Kyung was self aware he could have easily made it clear that the way he behaved on stage was not of his choosing but instead he kept forcing himself on her. Nah bro y'all need to get over how hot Lee Jae Wook is and see how awful he was.
I disagree. Kyung was going trought a lot of stuff, he just realized his life was a lie and Dan Oh didn’t love him. He tried to explain to her that he didn’t mean all the things he said on the stage and apologize but it was too late, she didn’t really care about it. And he never forced Dan Oh once he was aware of himself, he was just sad and confused all the time.

It’s truly magical, keep going hun!! You’re amazing❤️😍💯 much love from Colombia 🇨🇴
For me , The smile has left your eyes had the most amazing relationship and chemistry between the leads and you can't really call the relationship toxic as Kim moo young always did right by her. However kim moo young himself was a little bit of a sociopath/jerk.
i know it's pretty late to comment. but i agree. kim moo young did some wrong things to yoo jin kang and some other girls which i would consider toxic. but the fact that he changed for the better and learned to be a better guy. yoo jin kang introduced him to his flaws and helped him to become a better person. she helped him to care for others, to become empathic to other's pain which he did. but the last few episodes kind of disappointed me as he hurted her in a very painful way. but i guess it was how someone would act if the "know" that they are romantically in love with their long lost sibling. but still, i was disappointed. however, i like the fact that yoo jin kang never accepted him before he asked her to teach him how to be a good guy. for me, yoo jin kang is the most strongest character i have ever seen in a drama. she had so many scars, most of the people wronged her, betrayed her. but she still never hurted anyone, but tried to maintain peace. most of the main characters were toxic and emotionally unstable which was potrayed sometimes subtly and sometimes explicitly. yoo jin kang was also emotionally unstable, she lived most of her life with a burden, but she never hurted anyone. meanwhile, kim moo young went through a lot of terrible shit, but that would never change the fact that he did hurt a lot of people, and made them go through some emotional shit too. but kim moo young changed himself for her and he knew that he was a monster who manipulated people for his own selfish reasons. but he wanted to change the reality of being a monster to someone who yoo jin kang liked. but does that make him any less toxic? no. but i can tell that their relationship wasn't toxic because they healed eachother. overall, i would say that the smile has left your eyes did an excellent job to create a broken messed up manipulating jerk who felt zero empathy for himself and others. and they also did a pretty decent job to show human psychology and how messed up it can be. and they did a great job to create a romantic relationship of trust, love and healing despite all the odds and terrible things that happened to them. being in the relationship somehow taught jin kang to express her negative emotions that she surpressed for most of her life. and she also found someone whom she could share her feelings without the fear of judgement. she was the most logical yet emotional character in the show. or maybe, i am biased because i can somehow relate to her. but people never appreciate her much. it's a long comment lol. but i would like to recommend the original version which i believe shows much more insight of the messed up human mind. i relate to the original version's female lead more though. she is much more childish which make her seem very realistic to me. but the male lead is almost like a sociopath. so, be ready to hate him:')

What's even worse is that now when the toxic relationships of kdramas are more realized and talked about. They think they are doing good by creating strong female leads. But their definition of strong female lead is reversing the roles. For example, it's okay to be not okay. She literally forces him, touches him without his consent and etc. Its so flipping toxic and no one talk about it.
Cheese in trap made me so pissed like it was the most toxic one after tempted and the girl did choose him made me even more mad Boys over flower/Meteor garden was also a toxic/abusive one it was messed up
Cheese in trap's whole point was that.. He was shown as a toxic guy and they didn't romanticize it. They didn't cover his character up like "anger issues" "jealous". If you watch last episode you could see that he took a break and realised his mistake , took time to develop and then only came back to her. Y'all just miss the whole point and judge it
@@oops4279 Someone with common sense! Did people just completely miss the point of Cheese in the Trap? It was obvious from the get go that the show was trying to convey a toxic and manipulative relationship. They were also trying so hard to make the male lead come off as creepy and manipulative. All the dark colors surrounding him, his evil smirks etc. I'm not sure how people completely missed the point of this show, it was so realistic and fun to watch. I didn't wish to see any character development but the ending was a bit rushed, overall a good show nevertheless.
i been watching this edit for over a year now. i found this in late 2020 and i always come back to watch it. every time i listen to this audio i think about this edit especially arthdal chronicles
Jealousy has a limit. I don't know how some people find this relationships cute and romantic. As an example true beauty. Suho was obsessive over the female lead. He invaded her privacy. In a healthy relationship there must be the trust and respect. If you find these kind of relationships cute amd protective then you have a mental problem.
In my eyes, baekyung, the guy at the start from Extraordinary You, will always have my support, I genuinely did feel bad cause it’s not him doing any of the stuff that hurt eun dan oh, like he was being controlled by the dum author. Eventhough he still hurt her out of the stage it wasn’t intentional, he was scared to loose dan oh like he lost his own mother.
@@mysticloverfairy1 no he didn't. Remember how he said that does not care what dan oh feels and that she's destined to end up with him on the stage. Remember how he always tormented haru by saying he's just an extra and that dan oh is his fiance. Remember how he splashed water on dan oh near the swimming pool cause he was jealous. And all of this happened after he gained awareness in the shadow. I know that he started caring about her but he showed it in a very toxic way. It didn't matter to him that dan oh liked haru. He only changed during the last eps when he remembered what he did in the previous manhwa. I really love how he devloped. And I agree he's a great and complex character. But it still doesn't change the fact that he was a jerk to her even in the shadows. He didn't consider her feelings even after having awareness. And that was toxic asf.
YESSSS !!! This is exactly what I thought when I saw Baek Kyung. And this is why I shipped Dan Oh with Haru. Because Haru doesn't treat her like shit and theu love each other equally. I didn't really understand why people shipped Dan Oh with Baek Kyung, he was clearly being toxic. But now I know that people shipped them because at the end Baek Kyung realized how precious she is and regrets hurting her. Sadly, he realized it when it was too late.
I mean.. he literally said he didn't 'like' Dan Oh because of her disease. DID SHE WISH TO HAVE HEART PROBLEMS ???? that scene made me angry the most 🙄🙄🙄
i agree with all of these except from hotel del luna- while it did turn toxic in jang man wol's side after his death. i think it was a healthy relationship(if you could call it that) but it as just the situation they were both put in that forced them apart
@@emmabennett7699 thats exactly why you gotta take a step back sometimes and make that clear for yourself, videos like this help with that too i suppose. To be honest kyung was given that character like it wasn’t his choice to act the way he did, it was the writer that made him that way but dan oh always seemed to forget that he wasn’t “aware of himself” for a while.
Even he’s in the shadow, he’s still a jerk. He constantly talked shit and picked up a fight with Haru (especially in front of Dan Oh) because he’s jealous, because he obsessed with the idea she supposed to be his, instead of respecting Dan Oh’s choice and making her have better impression about him. Dan Oh could be nicer to Baek Kyung but he never gave her reasons to, why should she understand the difference at all when he’s always mean to her, her friends and the boy she loves?
yea even offstage at first he was a jerk cuz he thought she would still be his even offstage and his jealousy got the better of him but slowly he understood and had character development i respect the fact tht he changed he triggered me so much at first he did let her go for haru

I always thought that baekyung from extraordinary you was really toxic until he found his true self. I was always wondering why people were on his side because he was so aggressive with people. Now that we got to see his true self I think he’s a really good developed character 💓💜💗💕
Yeah ,but still. Dan oh deservs someone who aways treated her good: haru.
i think rather than wanting baekyung with dan oh ppl just wanted better for baekyung
I think that Baekkyung is not mean in the inside, he is not heartless (even Lee Jae Wook, the man who interpreted Kyung, said it. Baekkyung might me cold and rude, but he has a tender heart) ! And I think that if Dan Oh ended with him, I think I would treat her right...
In the comic the real couple is Da oh and Baekyung. And for me the relationship between Da Oh and Haru is selfish love they only think about their love and not the other people that might be affected because they keep changing the fate in the book and I hate it so I stop watching it. Well it’s just my opinion.
Beakyung was nice in the end... His character was mean coz of the writer... I ended up feeling very bad for him😢
*2:17** the fact that she was crying cause of Haru* 💔
This scene really HURTED
Those scenes where dan oh missed Haru really hurted me🥺🥺❤🔥💯

Cheese in the Trap made me mad. Like Inho was clearly the better choice; he was funny and kind. But no, she had to go with the psychopath who got a guy to stalk her. Like I understand that he loved her, but some of the stuff he did to her was unacceptable.
Saida Ali I’d love to read it but I have no idea where to find it
bRUH CHEESE IN THE TRAO WAS LEGIT THE BEST SHIT EVER bUT when i found out tht she ends up with the other guy i was so pissed off like inho saved her from every shit every single time he was funny asf and the better choice i never watched the drama only webtoon but i stopped midway cuz i lost it but if the other guy really had character development then okay
Right I totally wanted her to be with In-Ho. Her boyfriend was crazy he had such problems. I read the webtoon comic before the show but yet was more devastated watching the show.

Baek kyung was obviously toxic from the beginning but everyone still shipped him and danoh I’m like ??? Also tempted and the smile have left your eyes, just the covers make all the characters look toxic. All these shows are really good though. Great video!
Because his staged self is not him,In the shadow Baekyung is actually afraid of loosing Dan Oh just like how he looses his mother.
SAMEEESS
He is not toxic. The writer makes him act like that when he became self-aware himself, he released that he liked Dan oh.
But she liked someone else. At the end, he couldn't show his feelings as he wanted.😔
YESSSSSS FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
This is just...*chef’s kiss*

Honestly I really do think kdramas need to stop romanizing violence, abuse, toxic relationships, cheating etc.
ikrrr just try reading comments T_T.. they all are defending
true true but since the media has been in the world for a longg amount of time, people think those plots of those nice good stories are cliche since everyone knows them by now, but I still agree with your statement, since the media does have a big amount of affect on our society.
2:02 dan oh hit kyung's back to the beat lmao edit: wow nice number of likes lmfao i really miss this drama im still waiting for love alarm season 2 ;(

great observation 😂
He even got her hand print in his back bcz of that 😂
Lol bruh
The smile has left your eyes is my all time favorite. If they didn't have constant challenges thrown at them, they would've been endgame. And in a way they were.
I have seen these dramas and these relationships were clearly toxic, but seeing girls make excuses for the male characters make me realise how ingrained toxic relationships are.
This is the first video that I've literally cried
Hotel del lunas character he spend eternity aw butterfly near to jang man weo observing her protecting her secretly please don't involve him😢

True.
I thought he was a firefly
YESS ANOTHER EDIT THAT MAKES ME EMOTIONAL ABOUT A LOVE I NEVER HADDD😭💕
This pulled at my heartstrings so perfectly ah this was so nicely made!💞
The smile has left your eyes was the only drama where I thought that it’s really just a mask he’s wearing.
Sometimes i feel like your edits are more satisfying than the drama themselves 😂
that's so true.
"Im not pretending to be mean,i am mean"
For some reason i love that line so much-
"Dan-oh from "Secret" thanks you and Dan-oh from Trumpet Creeper forgives you"
This scene made me cry so much
Awww so beautiful
AAAAAA I LOVE THIS CHANNEL , OH MY GOD❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this song and you brought the feeling through dan and kyung's scenes. I love it.

Illogically Logical same I feel so bad for him all throughout the drama
The real toxic ones were tempted, cheese in the trap and extraordinarily you
Uncontrollably Fond , hotel del Luna and the smile has left your eyes were mainly tragic I mean the leads took some questionable decisions but the world was against them
I haven’t seen the arthdal chronicles
extraordinary you is a show where they're kind of mocking the kdrama (all the cliche scenes and cringy lines etc) and since they're manhwa characters they showed us the difference between the relationship of on stage dan-oh and baekyung to their shadow selves which is another reason for extraordinary you on telling us that lots of kdrama s relationships are toxic and its being normalize.
That's true, that's why I love Extraordinary You. They break the stereotype of jerk male lead and good girl trope.

You truly have a gift love, I am guessing the majority of your viewers have not experienced heart break or being in a toxic relationship based on the comments I’ve seen but you just make us feel as though we’ve been through like 50 of them. It’s truly magical, keep going hun!! You’re amazing❤️😍💯 much love from Colombia 🇨🇴
También soy de Colombia XD
Are you watching Crash Landing on you? I recommend it, i love your edits. 😍

Wow I never been so early in my life
I just started watching your edits and man. You do some bomb ass edits.
Chungmyung and Manwol didn't have a toxic relationship so much as terrible circumstances and I will forever be salty about that
What's even worse is that now when the toxic relationships of kdramas are more realized and talked about. They think they are doing good by creating strong female leads. But their definition of strong female lead is reversing the roles. For example, it's okay to be not okay. She literally forces him, touches him without his consent and etc. Its so flipping toxic and no one talk about it.
Cheese in trap made me so pissed like it was the most toxic one after tempted and the girl did choose him made me even more mad
Boys over flower/Meteor garden was also a toxic/abusive one it was messed up
Cheese in trap's whole point was that..

Dont forget how dark the ending of cheese in trap. Seriously.. i regret watching all the episodes with full of my heart :(
this is the best i've ever seen in my life👏
In my eyes, baekyung, the guy at the start from Extraordinary You, will always have my support, I genuinely did feel bad cause it’s not him doing any of the stuff that hurt eun dan oh, like he was being controlled by the dum author. Eventhough he still hurt her out of the stage it wasn’t intentional, he was scared to loose dan oh like he lost his own mother.
I thought I was the only one 😔🙏🏻
But he was still a jerk off stage
NAGa JusEyO That’s because he didn’t know he was a character once he got his awareness he got better
@@ks2128 he was kind of pushing her cuz he knew his father is using her and he felt bad for her
You make so great kdrama videos! I am so happy every time there is a new one *-*
You are so talented!!!!
INHO FROM CHEESE IN A TRAP WAS ROBBED OF HIS HAPPINESS!!!
He deserves better :(

@@emmabennett7699 thats exactly why you gotta take a step back sometimes and make that clear for yourself, videos like this help with that too i suppose. It wasn't toxic. Just super fucking sad.
uhmm, I don't think that was toxic tho... in what way was that toxic?? There's wayy more other toxic ones. how can u consider that as toxic? 😔
Glad that you added extraordinary you i really missed that k drama🙂🙂
