Rhett is the right guy to rate the tone, so emphatic and constructive

Brick on the wall solo was played on a les paul, not a strat! (I liked Daniel's playing btw)

You are correct, according to Gilmour himself

I thought it sounds a bit off time and the bends weren't done right but yeah kudos to him for submitting

I was gonna mention the same thing. And it was also run direct into the mixing board, gated and compressed, and then run back out to a mic’ed Mesa Mark I. I owned one of those amps for 20 years and I can tell you it’s an absolute beast in both tone and volume. Weighs a ton, though- especially for just a single-speaker combo.

Thanks for including me in your tone video. I just wanted to point out that we were not going for the CCR version. Thanks again.

Congrats to all the players. I really enjoyed the arrangement of Horace Silver’s “Peace.” One of my favorite standards.

Dude playing Midnight special, Rhett, not all of us can bring a guitar in standard, a back up, and a guitar tuned to Open D, or even any Open tuning. If I'm bringing any open tuning guitar its tuned to Open E. Now, I did come across a hybrid Open G tuning that I picked up from Bryan Bassett from Foghat. Simply tune the 1st string to D and you basically have an Open G with your 5th and 6th string allowing you to access standard tuning power chords. Now, my tone...that's another story. Thank God for my Blues Driver and my Boss EQ. I think...

I’m a big fan of the boss eq. One of my mates has a blues driver, I think I know what you mean he gets some awesome tones out of that using my guitar and amp!

Rhett, as a new subscriber I am impressed (blown away) with your expertise and focus in getting to the heart of TONE. I loved hearing the various submissions and your excellent and constructive feedback. Your critiques are spot on and with each player you highlight what each player could do to make their tone even better. I would be so intimidated to send in one my tunes but I love to learn and explore what others are doing. I think you've hit on something really solid with this Submit Your Tone - keep doing it.
