Hi Michael, I really enjoyed this one being a big fan myself. I watched the video before seeing this. It was good, and you confirmed everything I was thinking while watching. You made one comment early on... if it is Alice Cooper. This got my attention as I thought he sounded a little different. Loved the song and video overall!
Yeah my opening remark was a bit provocative brother! But regular viewers know I always question whether whatever artist I’m covering is still what we expect! I know, I know, I’m shameless!❤😉👌 BTW: There’s another original from me on Patreon! Just a demo brother, just a demo!🎉🎉🎉 patreon.com/user?u=91152869&Link&
Alice Cooper is one of a kind. It’s easy to forget that in the mid 70s the band/solo was one of the biggest artists around. Have been seeing him for over 45 years. His shows are still excellent as is his new music.
Alice actually borrowed from Screaming Lord Sutch. Do not get me wrong..I ❤AC..one of my tree actually was a nonmusical business associate of AC. But gotta give props to AC for his humor which SLC never had (although great and with an amazing lifestory). I love this LP and cannot wait to get it! Cheers!
Definitely has that “Elected” preach style :) so refreshing to have raw talent deliver in the studio with no tricks or AI :) he uses a different AI: Alice Intelligence.
Alice Cooper is the real deal. Always loved their/his music because of the sense of humor! The character is in every song. It's almost like watching a suspense movie, or reading a scary short story? Through the years for me, the music has just gotten better. Seen Alice Cooper in the 70's twice, and in the 80's once. ALL 3 were magnificent shows! You'll always get your money's worth, with Alice Cooper... ✌
Great overall review Michael.....yes I am bias but I enjoyed how you took a real deep dive into this and explained some background regarding AC and giving some real meaning into what this record is about. Bravo !
It's a grower I have heard 3 times am looking forward to album his last couple have been strong, Alice seems to be on a roll, Detroit stories was imo not as good as paranormal but it was solid.
I only saw Alice once in '78. Most entertaining _show_ ever, both musically and visually. One of my favorite lines from all of his songs is from Be My Lover and this song harkens back to it: She asked me why the singer's name was Alice / I said 'listen baby, you really wouldn't understand'. We're not worthy, (Wayne and Garth) but we're grateful for this new release.
I don't know much of his music except for the big songs, but I'd still like to meet him. Supposedly we're related. His real name is Vincent Furnier. I've been told all of my life that we're cousins. I don't know. I've told many people this story, but I say it more as a joke, but WE COULD BE! He might know better than I. There might be many others out there with the last name Furnier who have been told the same thing. I'd like to know one way or the other. Maybe someone out there can help me with that.
It kinda amazes me that so many rock stars of the past are having an incredible resurgence. Alice, “Yes”, Cheap Trick, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens and a few more are all making great albums. What is going on with these people?
I love me some Alice Cooper. I like all eras but actually prefer solo Alice (1975 to present) to the original band. I find it more diverse and just like it better. The new song is good.
The original band of course has so many classics but i have to agree . He gave us lots of different albums after the original band broke up. My favorites are Brural Planet , Hey Stoopid, Welcome to my nightmare 1 and 2 , Paranormal and lot's of amazing songs sprinkled in the other albums . I'm very excited for Road to release. Loved the new single . It's pretty catchy , i caught myself singing it at work the last few days when it randomly kept popping up in my head
Just listened to it. The bridge where the band members back off from the sound and sing in harmony is the highlight to me -- a real live feel and showcases their talent. I wonder if it was a hard song to mix.
Hi Michael! Gotta admire a veteran artist like Cooper going with such an immediate approach in the studio this time around. Very cool. This seems to be a a great year for strong albums from our classic rockers: Yes, Metallica, Tull, and more recently SIX from Boston band Extreme (another great gym album like 72 Seasons, with brilliant playing from Nuno Bettencourt throughout) and, for Oasis fans, an excellent new album from Noel Gallagher called Council Skies ("Dead To The World" is as good a song as he's even written). Though not exactly "rock," the new Depeche Mode album was also a worthy addition to their catalog (and this is coming from someone who never was a DM fanatic). Looking forward to listening to this new Alice track, as well as the new album from Cat Stevens, King of a Land that just dropped. We also have the new Peter Gabriel album to look forward to later in the year (the preview tracks have all been top notch). You definitely called it on the new Yes for sure. At times, Mirror To The Sky really does sound like vintage Yes and damn if Jon Davison is not a dead ringer for the great Jon Anderson at times. I know that's not a popular opinion, but I can totally hear why this man is fronting the current incarnation of the band. Hope you've had a great week brother. Talk to ya soon.
Some really great examples here Bruce! I HAS been a great year so far, knock on wood! The thing about Alice, is that as he ages, it doesn’t really matter! Visually he’s what he’s always been, and his voice is still strong!❤❤❤
I've been listening since 1975 and love this song, it's fantastic and can't wait for it to be released. Have seen him in concert many times and would love to see this one in person too.
love that song and ALICE COOPER 'White Line Frankenstein is now on youtube its another new song off his upcoming album and that song also sounds amazing as well
For being well into his seventies, its really not bad and he's still being creative -- love that. However compared to the classic Alice Cooper Band stuff its not lean (and mean) enough, so I will keep on clinging to those old records
For me It's sounds way better than Detroit Stories which I really don't like. I'm Alice tools me 3 listenings before I fall in love with the song. Hopefully the rest of the album will be as good or better.
I dig the music, but I find Alice is over enunciating too much on this track, much like he and other older artists often do to push the lyrics more than the attitude. Love Alice though, and much of his laterday material.
Never really was a big Alice Cooper fan but it should be interesting and will listen to it. He used to be a neighbor of the late Glen Campbell in Arizona.
If this time the slbum is vincentfurnier of this high school bsndthe spiders that’s I just know he’s I. There saying hey I’m not dead I’ve been in here hiding out ti you’re ready for the real me
Welcome To My Nightmare is a brilliant concept album. "All my toys are broken And so am I inside Mama..." Thanks for uploading. Good to see he is still writing.
Kinda makes sense...1st solo album after Muscle Of Love. The only solo Alice album I own. I was front row at the Nightmare Tour, 1975. Still wishing I had seen the original group in December 1973.
So glad you coverd this! What really impressed me is the dialog. The way he is talking truly brings out who he is as a person. Coop is a talented man and I believe this song does gives us an sample of the whole album plus I think the album in general is setting us up for his next record which will be released soon. His tour band did a fantastic job as well! They did sound like I was a love show! By the way he prefers to be called Alice or Coop. Sometimes he responds to Vince and he never responds to hey you or dude.
I am quite excited that a new Alice album is about to spring upon us though having heard "I'm Alice" I can honestly say I hope the album has a lot more to offer. Personally, I feel the lyrics on this new release are very weak and too tongue-in-cheek, you can read them like a book before they come out of his mouth. It's not a patch with any of the material from his last album Detroit Stories where I felt the lyrics were very strong on that album even to the point of them being some of the best lyrics I've heard on a Cooper album in YONKS!
That album was basicly a covers album, from DETROIT musicians (bands) over the years not one he wrote himself cept maybe 1 or 2 tunes, and one being with the original band.
"I'm Alice" has been stuck in my head non-stop since I first heard it. In a good way. The outro basically lifts the outro riff to "Elected". "I am yours forever, but you are mine tonight "- Vince Furnier. I'm Alice.
I'm Alice is kind of confusing. It sounds like his old band right off the bat, and it seems like they are going for that 70s sound. The guitars even do an "Elected" run in the middle of the song. I was surprised there were no original members on this track. It's not like Dunaway, Bruce and Smith weren't available. It is an okay track and I hope to hear more...

Alice is still putting out amazing albums and still the best live act in the business.
He is a rock god,I was blessed to be able to see him,I also believe he is vastly underrated.
It's fantastic and I love this cat and always have. It's got that 70's sound that I dig.👍👍🤟🤟
Listened -it’s one of the finest of Covid era songs ,more impressive than living in a ghost town stones
Alice Cooper is one of a kind. It’s easy to forget that in the mid 70s the band/solo was one of the biggest artists around. Have been seeing him for over 45 years. His shows are still excellent as is his new music.
And yet it’s easy to forget
I so agree Papa Rich! Good call!😉👌❤️

I see what you did there David! And yes AI (Alice Intelligence) works for me brother!😉👌❤️
"To complete that task it takes a special skill"
vince and a lot of the other oldtimers got the news that new stuff doesnt sell, that its the oldtimers that really still sell.
In my opinion, Alice Cooper is a true iconic legend!!!!!!!!!!!
It's DELIGHTFUL! Very refreshing! He's got it as much as he ever has!
I need to listen to this. I will see Alice in Dallas on Aug 24th.
It’s a good one Dan!❤❤❤

Agreed groovey!❤❤❤
Sounds like a refreshing change from all the over produced, synthetic, computerized and autotuned dreck that passes for popular music these days.
I just listened after watching your video. Great song. Looking forward to hearing the whole album. Thanks.
Remember the Coop,I love him to death,he’s killer!
I only saw Alice once in '78. Most entertaining _show_ ever, both musically and visually. "Be My Lover" is a Michael Bruce song...semi-autobiographical.
I just finished playing I'm Alice. Yes, there is some 70's in the song & i love it. Got to see the band my 1st year in college. What a show!!!
I don't know much of his music except for the big songs, but I'd still like to meet him. Supposedly we're related. His real name is Vincent Furnier. I've been told all of my life that we're cousins. Ya man...Alice might be the greatest showman in Rock. Love the fact he recorded live...Myself, that's the only way I ever recorded.
I enjoyed the song I’m really excited to hear the full album
Alice Cooper is the real last rock and roll band left. Great video today about this band.
When there’s a full album release we can think up what’s the post Covid top 5
Wowoa I never heard of this idea/technique?! I love it. Recordinfmustakes?! Perfect....Alice is always needed in the deranged society we inhabit. 3:39
Agreed Adam!❤❤❤
I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED ALICE.
It would es kick to him if his new album sells more than the reussues-of schools out& killer let’s show him how now he is👍🙏❤️
I love me some Alice Cooper. I like all eras but actually prefer solo Alice (1975 to present) to the original band. I find it more diverse and just like it better. The new song is good.

I loved that section too stone!❤❤❤

Nice that he's still in the game and coming up with new music, unlike others, rock on Alice✌
I've been listening since 1975 and love this song, it's fantastic and can't wait for it to be released. Have seen him in concert many times and would love to see this one in person too.
love that song and ALICE COOPER 'White Line Frankenstein is now on youtube its another new song off his upcoming album and that song also sounds amazing as well
Check out ,,, Rival Sons - Darkfighter
I have been thinking on going to see the Rob Zombie & Alice Cooper tour this summer.... heck of a line up.
Love Alice! He is a legend and so great in concert! Hope all is well Michael, and have a great weekend! ❤🤘
I love your channel, greetings from Costa Rica, and according to Alice, my hero,
For being well into his seventies, its really not bad and he's still being creative -- love that. However compared to the classic Alice Cooper Band stuff its not lean (and mean) enough, so I will keep on clinging to those old records

Hey Michael, the whole album is excellent. The who's magic bus is a masterpiece drum solo is awesome
Alice still knows how to turn it up a notch when needed, old time rock n' roll legend.
Can't wait for August 25th

Welcome To My Nightmare is a brilliant concept album. "All my toys are broken And so am I inside Mama..." Thanks for uploading. Good to see he is still writing.
That’s the one solo album he’s done that sounds closest to the original band to me Agenda! Great album!❤❤❤
Kinda makes sense...1st solo album after Muscle Of Love.
The only solo Alice album I own.
I was front row at the Nightmare Tour, 1975. Still wishing I had seen the original group in December 1973.
Alice is a genius
Yes he is Eddie!❤❤❤
Thanks for the breakdown of a great new song. I have to say it reminds me more of “Hello, Hooray” than “Elected”.
I’ve been an Alice Cooper fan all my life I love this song of course I lean more towards the early stuff but this is a return to that feel
Love it and love vine alice
So glad you coverd this! What really impressed me is the dialog. The way he is talking truly brings out who he is as a person. By the way he prefers to be called Alice or Coop. Sometimes he responds to Vince and he never responds to hey you or dude.
and he’s written stuff with original members of The Alice Cooper Band as well Caitlin!❤❤❤
It's a great new song! Going to see him this summer.
Yeah me too, once he’s clear of Motley Crue anyway Dawn!❤❤❤
I am quite excited that a new Alice album is about to spring upon us though having heard "I'm Alice" I can honestly say I hope the album has a lot more to offer. Out of the 15 tracks on the album only 4 of them were covers the other 11 were written by Alice and the band that's hardly a few.@@lonniegrey5894
Quite possibly the best thing he has done. this song is nothing less than a masterpiece.
Second single is much better
Far out man , Alice is going to be great if they recorded live. I used to have Love It To Death , I like a raw type of rocking sound.
Me too Gary! Raw, with just a touch of yank-my-chai, and I’m sold brother!❤❤❤
Have loved Alice since I first heard his Welcome to my Nightmare album around 1980
I’ve loved this guy since I first heard him Yt!❤❤❤
HIS NAME IS NOT VINCE 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
"I'm Alice" has been stuck in my head non-stop since I first heard it. In a good way. The outro basically lifts the outro riff to "Elected".
"I am yours forever, but you are mine tonight "- Vince Furnier. I'm Alice.
Same, i sometimes sing it at work when it randomly pops up in my head 😁
I'm Alice is kind of confusing. It sounds like his old band right off the bat, and it seems like they are going for that 70s sound. The guitars even do an "Elected" run in the middle of the song. And I’ve heard that Alice has written with the surviving members as well Spanky!❤❤❤
