A very good analysis of the two Countries. A few updates for you Gari, car insurance is very expensive in the UK especially for the younger people, it depends upon several factors ofcourse, postcode, type of car, previous claim history but I'd say most insurance premiums range from £700-£1500 and Road tax averages around £300 upwards unless you own an electric or low emission vehicle then it will be cheaper.
The food is much cheaper in Morocco. It is without doubt a beautiful Country with fantastic weather and delicious food. Mostly good, welcoming, friendly people. I'm finding it very difficult if I want to enquire about buying a basic holiday flat there.Don't know where to go to get genuine advise.I like Agadir and its surrounding areas myself.

Hi there. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I really do appreciate it. It's true what you say about car insurance. I tried to reflect the range of prices in my narrative.
As for parts of Morocco to have as a holiday home: You have so many options to choose from. The country seems to be waking up to the modern way of life.
At the moment I am editing a video about a small, but developing town just outside of Rabat. It should be ready Tuesday evening.

Also jobs are available in UK and the standard of living is very good so to me UK is the winner hands down. But again everyone to their taste. @@abdellahboulal1211 *There is no free health care in the UK. It looks like free, but it's not free. To proof that, look how much the cost of gasoline or petroleum and the price of a pack of cigarettes in the UK compare to the ones in Morocco. That huge difference in price goes right to the NHS budget which means the Brits pay for their health care indirectly through other necessities instead of direct payments. There is nothing wrong with that. It's one way to make people pay for their health care insurance via other products without thinking about it. That idea works for a certain period of time, but when the population is aging rapidly and people are living longer, expect more and more taxes on gasoline, cigarettes, alcohol...Otherwise, the Brits will have to pay for the NHS directly.*

Great informative video. But one can argue that the take home pay check and the overtaxed businesses in the UK can also be taken in consideration. As for food, it is true that Morocco is very blessed for being more than self sufficient, as for the lower price of petrol thus lower cost of transportation and shipping is also probably due to the big discount Morocco gets from the M-E oil producing countries.

Caution should be taken when comparing the living cost in two different countries :
What are the minimum wages in both countries.
2 500 Mad a month 30 000 a year for Morocco VS 1 524 £ a month 18 288 a year for the UK, meaning that a Moroccan Employee can not afford the annual cost of 123 000 a year to be able to live in the condition You described, while a British Employee can, 13 000 £
That's why the Average Moroccan doesn't: Go to the Cinema, MacDo. Doesn't own a car; Doesn't buy a Mars Bar;Doesn't have a Health Insurance, smoke a cheap cigarette, Doesn’t drink a beer (He drinks a cheap wine or even make his own whiskey)…
    - Medical insurance is the most important thing.

The road tax you mentioned at 700dhs is the lowest when it comes to diesel cars, it depends on the tax horsepower, 750dhs up to 8, 1500 up to 10, 3000 dhs up to 11, and 6000dhs for anything above, it's the reason why you see a lot of people settling for a piece of s***t French car.

I'm not sure about your internet and phone prices. You'd only pay £50 a month for a phone in the UK if you were also buying the phone itself on credit. Nobody pays that much just for calls and data. And it's been a couple of years since I lived in Morocco, but I remember the internet being astronomical compared to what you actually get. I used to pay nearly £40 a month, including line rental, for just 12mbps with Maroc Telecom. Whereas my mum in the UK was paying less than half that for far higher speeds.
