It is from the Crossbone Gundam series tho, and one of the Crossbone Gundam variant HGs is already P-Bandai. It would be a really nice surprise tho to get somesort of a retail Phantom or sum similar.
i feel like bandai is really missing out on sales by pushing p-bandai so hard. Not everyone can afford 50+ bucks for a single HG. I guess if they get you to buy one at that price it will be easier to get you to do it again, but running your marketing solely on FOMO is just such a bad practice.
@@CyborgPilordi mean if you get it from p bandai themselves the price is usually pretty reasonable, like this one was around $30 which is high for an HG, but the crazy amount of effect parts could justify that. If you’re in a part of the world that doesnt have p bandai, dealing with scalpers really sucks tho, and shutting down p bandai in europe next year is a crazy decision from bandai considering how many kits they make p bandai exclusive
for those wondering the Phantom Gundam is from the Crossbone Gundam Ghost manga which is set 20 years after Crossbone Gundam and it is set during the time of the Victory Gundam anime as in the Zanscare Empire War so it is technically a side story to Victory Gundam.
I'm not the biggest fan of P-Bandai exclusives, but if I were to ever cave and order, this is definitely what I'd get. I love the design and it's the only P-bandai kit high on my want list.
On mine I coated the flame effects with a wash of fluorescent red and it looks GORGEOUS under a black light. Wonder how long it will be until we get the Ghost Gundam since it's just the Phantom but in silver
Ghost gundam has some minor changes which will need new parts. For example, the side skirts become flame rifles (changes into a much more triangular fang like shape with a beamgun at the tip) along with minor lower leg and backpack changes. Also comes with the X0's Kujaku (the sword/crossbow transforming weapon). If a ghost gets made, a phantom v2 will def be made as well, since it is a recolored ghost with a new physical shield
I got mine a couple of weeks ago for a reasonable price. I haven't had the time to build it yet but I feel more compelled to do so after watching this video. Thanks for sharing
I've been really interested on him but after having a conversation with another gundam builder. i think i will wait for the silver color(i forgot what he called) if bandai even release it
For anyone who might be interested in useless information, "oiseau" is pronounced wah-ZO, and is French for "bird", so its MA mode is the Mirage Bird or the Bird Mirage.
This one could definitely benefit from being released as a 1/100 Full Mechanics, so that maybe we don't need to parts swap for the transformation gimmick.
Man i still hate that this is P-Bandai, i like the overall look of this kit. Also i hope Zaku gonna review Psycho Doga later on, i love that kit but shame it's limited
I missed out on the p bandai preorder because it was badly marketed and it sold out in less then 1 hour after I finally got my email... Had to grab it off Ebay before everyone else does the same in the states after this video. I hadnt because I expected Bandai to rerelease it but its been AWHILE to say the least.
It's a neat design, but I still just feel like Crossbone designs kinda jump the shark a bit much for the UC timeline. Like, they feel like full-on Super Robot rather than the more "grounded" designs of the rest of the UC, like they belong in G Gundam or something.
Crossbone arguably would've been better as its own universe - agreed. Space Pirate Gundams is a theme that goes hard. However, we'd definitely have less kits from it if it were its own standalone timeline.
UC has mystical soul sucking technologies and gundams that physically open its own armour, making for many moving parts and failure points. Its not as ridiculous imo

I love effect parts but I find they have mold lines and shiny plasticy-ness that ruins their look. I wonder if there's a good way to paint those to look good, fluorescent paints maybe?
I have no idea what this is even from I presume. Gundam crossbone... I really really really want an English translation of but for some reason they won't do it..
Shame it wasnt retail, i think the wow factor of those effects alone would see a good market appeal

Love the self-immolation effect of this kit, makes me wanna get it and the Try Burning and pose them against each other

Ghost Gundam
I really didn't even know what this was. I just had the NX edge little chibi version of this thing before I even was really into Gundam

+50 points to Gryffindor for the Size comparison!.
Really need somegrey and black panel liner on that skull. I do love this kit.
I like it's Dragonfly-mode transformation. 😊😊
Yeah super bug-like!

There's a lot of silly transformations in Gundam and this one is definitely up there.

"sold out in less than 1 hour" thats cute. SEA suffering selling out in literal seconds.

Floro paints yeah. Glass file works well for the mold lines but the problem is you need a curved half-circle one, not a flat one
