I went on a binge watching people react to Sora's inclusion and this one is my favorite. I can feel the happiness through the screen.

Ooohhhh it’s the name of the song, in the reactions I kept seeing people in chat putting “simple and clean” and I thought they were saying the reveal was simple and clean 😂
So growing up with just me and my older brother before he passed, he always let me play video games and watch anime with him. 3 games that he loved to play were DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Smash, and Kingdom Hearts. He was really passionate about KH for as long as I can remember, and I would sit there amd watch him play for hours on the ps2 (at least a think it was ps2, it coulda been ps3, I was little so I can't fully remember) and he even had a Sora hoodie that he only wore while playing, it had Donald and Goofy on it too. So when I saw the keyblade come on screen, all of the past memories with him just flooded me all at once and I broke down in tears. Congratulations Sora, and thank you Mr. Sakurai.

Those right people at Disney have said in the past that they were all for Sora getting into Smash.
I'm sure there was a lot of coordination required, but as Sakurai said... everybody involved was into it.

I don’t think that’s how it works… sora is a enix character you don’t need Disney rights for Sora.. it’s needing Disney rights for characters like Mickey and if you noticed he’s not in here

I love how KH fans notice Kingdom Key's shape in the fire before they even display the keychain. Its amazing.
I saw it and was like 90% sure, then the keychain and the signature sparkling sounds from Kingdom Hearts. Anyone who knows IMMEDIATELY knew. Just like the fans of Final Fantasy can notice the "One-Winged Angel" theme in just two notes XD
For me, personally, I have to see the Keychain to realize it. When I watched other's reaction on it is when I started to see the fire resembling the Keyblade. 🤣 Goodnees gracious, I've been rusting at recognizing my favorites. 😅

As a person who doesnt play a lot of games outside the Nintendo IPs i enjoyed the most DLC characters not because i had a connection to them or really wanted them, i enjoyed them because i knew all of them are someones most wanted character and i can watch reactions like this, where i also might shed a tear.

Don't apologize for crying. I cried too. It had some to do with the final character being Sora, but it had a LOT to do with it being the final Smash character reveal/direct/presentation. It was, indeed, bittersweet.

Man, I'm really glad you and countless others got this. This is exactly how I reacted to seeing Banjo and Kazooie again (and I damn near got teary eyed again just hearing that Simple and Clean instrumental). I know not everyone had an emotional character moment like this in Ultimate, but I'm always really happy to see when people do. Congrats, my guy.
I've never played a Kingdom Hearts, and didn't really care when I saw the announcement. But watching your reaction to it, and knowing many other people were moved in the same way, made me feel a fraction as emotional about it as you. And for that I believe it was the right choice.
That was wise asf I felt a fraction of the emotion in this comment seeing other people being moved by the people showing their reaction because I was disconnected in all of this but have now discovered how beautiful the emotions are here

That seems to be the direction it’s going in. The World of Fiction might lead to the excuse of using other Square Enix IPs
It would give Disney an excuse to let Sora interact with the Star Wars and Marvel universes, which is it’s a terrible idea, it sounds right up Disney’s alley.

I keep going back to this trailer and I can't help but shed a tear everytime I watch it. Sora's inclusion in smash couldn't of been any more perfect as a sendoff to the game. The handshake with Mario at the end was what really got me, showing how literally everyone was there. Thank you Mr. Sakurai for everything you've done.

I'm so hyped as a fan of both series, but honestly, I'm most emotional over how powerful and magical this moment has been. We ended on a BIG ONE. The music really gets you to break down and cry, take the moment in that this is the end of new character support for Ultimate, and it's a beautiful end.

I had the same reaction. Kingdom Hearts holds a special place in my heart as the game that truly opened me up to the whole world of gaming. I can’t believe they pulled it off. That truly made my day yesterday. I cried tears of joy at work and my close friend celebrated for me knowing it was my dream character
in 2008, i played the smash bros brawl subspace emissary for the first time at my best friend's house. in the middle of the cutscene where palutena sends pit out from the heavens, my friend's older brother walked in and said "yo, is that sora in smash? that's so sick!" and i had to dash his hopes.
i'm glad he and i can celebrate this together now

I feel that Sora's inclusion hit our generation the hardest due to us growing up with him, projecting ourselves on to him and the fact he's just such a generally likeable character. He was born from two franchises we grew up with (Final Fantasy and Disney) which turned out to be the perfect storm. In our minds, he could canonically pass in to other worlds such as Nintendo worlds and now that is practically canon. It's just a dream to see him shake hands with Mario like that too. Our dream character finally came home.

I know I’m late but for someone who haven’t played KH… this brings me to tears too. I’m a huge FF7 fan and almost every FF7 streamers I’ve seen also loves KH so I’ve seen several KH streams but not enough to understand the story (to avoid spoilers) since it’s a game I’ll eventually play. 🤩
