    hi i'm from the uk i don't think it's been grown in my country before so not a lot is know really abount coco yam but i like to grow different things i was walking past a veg shop near me & saw some outside the shop so i got some & hoping to grow same this year a very informative video from me . all the best ivan

    In hawaii we call it kalo my ancestors believe this is our older brother in our creation story this is the first born child of the sky father and earth mother but the baby was still born so they buried him in a traditional manner and from that site this plant sprouted their second child was us man so we have a duty to take care of our older brother because he will take care of us Mahalo Kū'e Hāwai'i Me Ke Alohā

    How do you eat the leaves? Do steam or cook them?.

      You just cook the leaves of this variety that I planted just like any other vegetables, like pumpkin leaves etc. Just make sure it is well cooked.
