Virtual Sailor 7 - Britannic, Torpedo Attack

- This is a recration of a scene from the movie, BRITANNIC. This video was made & edited by me with:
- Virtual Sailor 7 (Game)
- Sony Vegas pro 11 (Edition and aditional effects)
- Fraps (Video recorder)
On the movie, this was supposed to be the first attack with submarine and torpedo on the HMHS Britannic, after confirm that the hospital ship was carrying illegal ammunitions inside, but this is just part of the real story.
The ship wasn't torpedoed, it was traveling to the island of Kea on the Mediterranean sea to pick up some war-wounded, when accidentally hits a mine and the HMHS Britannic sank in less than an hour the morning of November 21, 1916.

The main reason why the Britannic went down so fast was because of its use as a hospital ship. Almost all of its portholes above the water line were open when the torpedo struck, so water almost immediately begun flushing in as soon as the ship began to sink. That's one of the reasons why she is in relatively good condition down there - unlike the Titanic, which practically exploded due to all the trapped air down in the cork, air was allowed to escape the Britannic as she sunk.
The reason that the portholes were open because almost all the rooms are hospitalized, given that patients need air. That's why. Engine explosions also made the ship sank fast.
Yep, that's true, too! The Torpedo struck the Britannic almost on the waterline, and so water rushed downwards into the Engine rooms.

I remember the first time I saw this. I never knew about a ship called the Britannic until I saw this video. This video is still a masterpiece in my eyes.

I quite like this sequence in the movie - good dramatically but historically unneccesary. However, this is a great recreation and Britannic looks amazing :)

The Britannic didn't get hit my a torpedo it accidentally went into a mine field and hit a mine.. the Lusitania was shot with a torpedo
Noah Martin no a crew memebr shot the torpedo with a gun and the torpedo didnt hit the Birtannic
They claimed it was the biggest ship in the world and was unsinkable. But surprise surprise it's sank. That's exactly what the Titanic said. And then it got struck by an iceberg and is at the bottom of the Atlantic.

Who thinks there should be an online game where there are huge ships like Britannic and the enemy players have to stop you from getting there by torpedoing you or any other way

+Dante Sanchez They often make changes to the ship, do they? I'm asking because the big davits on the ship are tan and the ship's name is sticking out just a tiny bit. The name shows, but it appears a little different, unlike yours. So the only question I'm asking is, was this because they've changed and updated it? Just curious to know, so don't blame me or anyone else.

There was never a sign of there being ever a u boat that sank the Britannic so it is only possible that it was a mine
there was, U-73 was close by, but acting as a minelayer. Britannic stuck one of U-73's mines

Is all about the configuration of the game, if you want to sink a ship you will have to fire weapons several times, no matter what kind of sub you are using

Dante Sanchez I did that it has all the teleghraphs and telephones and the cart room and stuff but you can see though the wall and the pramenade deck isent in lines its one big room

The ship was real and did sink, but it wasn’t sunk by a torpedo. It was sunk because it hit a German underwater mine.
