Singing is in a different part of the brain where the disability does not exist. People who stutter when they talk don't stutter when they sing! Music is a beautiful thing that over comes so many obstacles and lets you feel free.
Same with Gareth Gates and Ed Sheeran. Both had stutters, but not when they sing.
Me too am a singer but when I sing no any kind of stutter happen
My lisp and stutter is barely audible when I sing. I don't really know how that happens my mum doesn't know either. It just happens💀

I looooove it to sing and I stutter too, very much it's almost a different level of stutter but now I realize that it's true believe me guys!😯❤

He improved a lot when he went with Delta. It really pays off when you're on the right person. I meant no harm to Ronnan he's still a legend we all know that. But man! Look how Delta transformed his vocals and personality. Delta knows what songs will fit his voice perfectly.
Joanna Estrada i think the guy chose a bad song thats why he didn’t shine and that’s probably why he got those negative comments but he’s definitely talented but I understand the negative comments.

Reading all these comments, some hurtful ones. What is wrong with you people? Here's a kid who suffers from something he can't control, yet shines when music enters his heart. There's a lot of people out there suffering right now, and all you haters with narrow-minded comments, yes, narrow-minded comments are just jealous, because he's doing what only you would be dreaming about!!! He got far, very far, because he was determined, and it just proves that determination and a strong will can get you anywhere. I say kudos to this young man for proving to himself that he is beyond his Tourette Syndrome. That he is a voice, that deserves to be heard.

Delta's voice was so pretty in the beginning and they blended sooo well together
He didn’t get sympathy votes he has earned his position and if he wins he did it. He has a fabulous voice and more courage than the people who are saying rude things out of jealousy.
Best Part: Early on when Ronan picked Mitch in the battles but Adam was saved by Delta...camera kept going back to Mitch. You could tell he wanted Adam saved. R-E-S-P-E-C-T
I love how Delta really coach Adam..she's good and really had a true heart for people like him... he was so lucky and for me he is the winner!
One of the things I noticed, is that when he sings the songs I can actually understand the words. A lot of times when I listen to songs by the artist, I don’t even know what all the words are and sounds kind of jumbled and he is so clear.

Poor guy. It does look exhausting when he's twitching like that.I'm glad that he's staying upbeat and positive though.I hope that one day he'll be completely healed of the disorder.
There's no cure to this day :( but we can always hope for a better future...
esteeeela there might not be a cure in western medicine but things like acupuncture can really really help. I used to suffer from a uncontrolled movement, shaking and random muscle contraction disorder, it was really bad at one stage but through acupuncture and doing things like climbing a lot, yoga and other practices like meditation and even diet change, I had to quit gluten. All this has helped so much that no one would know about it now. I only get it very occasionally now, It has almost disappeared.
Dr. Henry G Bieler in his book claims that he did cure epilepsy and Dr. Peter J D'Adamo in his books improved a lot many serious illness and evan encapsulated clay proves to me to have incredible benefits but I know from the books of Serghei Nikolaevici Lazarev that yoga, reiki and homeopathy are not good and he evan knew that at the accident of Cernobâl some ortodox practicants had no radiation measured in their houses and they returned to stay in the restricted area... A romanian ortodox bishop in Ucrain at Bănceni has more than eight children cured of AIDS and many others waiting to be cured...
It is really exhausting especially with neck and face tics cause it stresses your muscles a lot (from experience of course I don't wanna get told im making it up again)

I'm dealing with tourette since I'm like 5 years old (when they discover it), I don't have it hard like he does, but I'm still proud of him. It's hard to be confident about yourself when you have this syndrome
Damm that hard. Be strong 💪🏼 and I feel you I know it’s hard for people who has disabilities. I’m one of them. It different from the others. Not everyone treated you like the same way. Some people will. I’m 20. He’s inspire everyone who has disabilities.

As a disabled person this video has inspired me to not be afraid of what others think of me, achieve my dreams and prove to people that I can still do these things even though I have a disability, thank you Adam
Thought I was only going to watch a few minutes, nope. Watched the whole thing. Kid has talent. There will always be haters, particularly in an ever increasingly world to live in.
His stage presence is amazing for his young age. He makes a lot of today’s singers and performers look like amateurs. His voice reminds me of the young men in One Direction.

Delta: you did a great job coaching him -- just compare his voice in the finals to earlier performances. And girl, you also walked the walk when that that lame first coach could only talk the talk (and talk and talk and talk.....ad. nauseum) I didn't watch the full season--just this compilation. So he didn't win---and yet he won. Congratulations, Adam! I'd love to hear you sing some songs that would make you jump up and down in puddles splashing the whole auditorium...! :-)

I have a daughter and 2 grandaughters that have Tourettes. It took me 15 years to get a doctor to diagnose my daughter. She went on meds and does great now. My grandaughters asked their doctors to give them meds and they are much better. Thank you for your beautiul song and inspiration.

WOW...Adam is a true inspiration for ALL of us!! Amazing voice ❣❣❣ When Delta read the letter from Asia and them introduced them it was beautiful to see the impact Adam is making 💝💝💝 I lost it. My favorite part of his time on the show!! He's just gotten better and better with each performance!! Their duet was STUNNING...💝💝💝

Totally not a doctor here, so correct me if I'm wrong. But I was taught singing and talking are different parts of the brain. Could that explain why he doesn't have ticks when he sings? Thoughts?
What a beautiful, passionate voice.
Singing or talking are just some of the activities that could distract a person with a tourette syndrome away from their tics, but that of course still depends on the severity of the syndrome. Although some tasks which needs a lot of concentration like reading books, writing, or even watching movies could be stressful enough for us so that's where our tics come in. I know this because I also have one, though just mild and pretty controllable when in public.

@@ashleymorgan9287 little late to the party but yeah, sometimes just a good distraction will do the trick. It doesn’t have to do w separate areas of the brain. I follow a gamer w severe Tourette’s and she can tame them w whistling. Whereas I can occasionally keep my tics at bay doing highlights (I’m a hairdresser) or even just getting really into a good tv show.
If I get bored, overstimulated, tired, my tics will start up. It’s all just a surprise lol

I love how they now are doing "saves" for the one who lost the face off. Like this time, often both singers are incredibly gifted and deserve a chance.
The people who tries to roast him I will say to them: the world is spinning and some day it happens to them like his destiny becomes their world.

He is beyond courageous to stand his ground, especially in this cruel world. To the low, heartless people who feel they need to put others down, your the ones who need help. You only live one life. Don't choose to live it being a Bully. Dear God. He just lived his dream and had so much fun doing it. He spread his word and that was his goal and he did it. I admire that.
I find Adams voice soothing. I love his ability to hit the proper note without singing every one crossing his mind

I spend most of my time trying not to feel anything since my fiance died in a car crash 2 months ago, but when Adam sang "Chasing Cars", I started sobbing. It brought back a memory from a few years ago when my fiance had to help me find my car that had been towed so the snow plow could clear the roads... Adam's rendition of that song unexpectedly unleashed this flood of pent up emotion in me. It's hard to shut it off now that it's started. He is clearly a talented and special person, and he managed to move me and many others with his performances. I have no doubt he will find lots of success in his life. I'm glad I stumbled upon this video so I could see his start along that path.
