Hey I got featured in a video! I'm sure these races are fun to participate in but as a viewer they're just kinda bad. ABWs carnage was entirely unscripted and accidental. It was fun to watch the toxicity from the perspective of an outsider, and to see people crashing not because they wanted to but simply because they didn't know how *not* to crash. It was like Jerry Springer meets banger racing. But this? This is like being an amusement park employee working the bumper cars. None of the crashes have consequences, and while as a driver of these digital bumper cars it might be really fun as a watcher it really isn't. Then there's the length. Early ABW episodes were 5-10 minutes, while the later ones were 10-15. A nice little dose of chaos. But these community races. 20-30 minutes? With what is essentially the same 5 second joke repeated over and over again? By the 7 minute mark I already wish it was over with. I say this as someone who is a fan of your videos, and not just the old ABW stuff. The amount of people who would find this video entertaining is really small. Mostly kids, and people with the mindset of kids. Even then, I can't imagine anybody under the age of 17 who would watch any video 30 minutes long, even if it suits their interests. If these are the videos you want to make then I have no power to ask you to change them, but as someone who really liked ABW I can't help but voice my opinion.
Thank you for being a fan. I get the sentiment, but the alternative for me was making ARCA Brake Weekly ad infinitum with the same stale jokes or even the same people showing up. Even my dad, the casual viewer, knew it had run its course and I feel a majority of the viewers may have felt the same. With the choice of feeling forced to obsessively watch bottom split ARCA for the hundredth time or showing love back to everyone who got me here by doing something to my knowledge has never been done on iRacing, the answer is easy for me. I appreciate you being thoughtful and pleasant with your opinion, the world needs more of that.
