Just a heads up you don't need to fully remove the slide lock lever to remove the slide. There is sort of a stopping point when you pull on it at the point your slide will come off with the pin/level still in place.

5 years late to the party and 2 weeks behind the last comment. But just to echo it, yea Gray Guns makes a trigger reset kit. I think it's like $80. I got it for my P30L. I'd damn near say its mandatory. Takes the reset from almost the entire length of the trigger pull down to like a millimeter. It's so night and day it almost doesn't even feel like the same gun.

It's a little concerning that this video has been up for over 5 years considering it shows an incorrect field strip procedure. Yanking the slide lock all the way out of the frame is not correct, and can damage the trigger return spring. It's also not a particularly fun part to replace.

Thanks for the video. The P30 is a bit different than the Rex Zero 1. The takedown is different than every other pistol I've had, which is why I needed the video. The one thing about mine is that the slide locks do *not* come all the way out. Maybe you have a defective one, maybe they changed it, but mine just expands and does not entirely come off. That suits me fine. :)

Great Vid Interesting how u pull Slide Release all the way out too each is own On my 40 I grab from L side just pop out slightly and good to go leaving it sandwiched Seems through time you will wear scratch Marks from swinging R leg out on the outer slide And wear pin & notch Also Noticed your little metal squirter In time running that metal to metal will wear scratches possibly? kind off like Using a Metal fork in a metal bowl scrambling eggs you will get metal in your food Not a big deal just an observation? I like using Pinky it does look handy for the spring wich never do but may start after every say 5th Clean? On the Slide Rails I like to put couple drops Mpro7 up by front sight leand up and let it run down towards rear on its own then clean barrel come back wipe the butt . Also using Pinky tap the body rail ears as well and Slap it back togather🤙🏼

What gstea1 said. It's early 2019 when I bought mine. The slide stop on mine does NOT come off. You just push it out enough so that it clears the slide and you can see the red indicator on the lever. Then you can pull the slide off the pistol.

It's not. They are identical. Neither one needs to have the slide lock removed. It's also a bad idea to oil internal springs that you can't get to. Oil attracts dirt. In fact you don't even need to oil the RSA, just wipe it clean and DRY it off before re-assembly.
