Always a pleasure watching your videos, straight forward and informative. Thank you for the time and effort your putting into them! May i suggest a video on Gradient Factor, since it seems to be a topic either complicated or overlooked.

Definitely experienced the added struggle of inflating a larger dsmb. I need to practice it more.

How fortunate for me, that's the exact type of SMB I purchased.

Simplicity is the mother of invention, and to some their saving grace.

big vs small dsmb: maybe something you didnt mention: why bother carrying a really long and really wide dsmb if you simply do not need it. its nice to have a bit more free space in your pockets D rings etc :D

What is your opinion on redundant air source i.e. pony bottle for recreational diver non-side mount. No decompression dives. If in favor, suggestions on set up? Thx

I bought a 2.4m DSMB, now I feel dumb. Was cheap though, same price as an 1 m DSMB. Thank you for the enlightenment

Could you make a video (I don't know if you have already, if so, post the link please) on how to mount the buoy and the spool and where do you advise to keep it during the dive, when you are not wearing a dry suit?

It is interesting that you call attention to entangling one's gear but in a separate video where you demonstrate and recommend launching a lift bag as a team you pull the lift bag underneath you to inflate with your drysuit inflator close to your body without consideration of entanglement. Would it not be safer to pull the inflator hose away from the body or use the wing inflator in front of/away from the body to inflate the bag?

Jeff. this is interessting as a lot of people come up with this. if you inflate the bag in from of you it will pull you out of trim and and you will not be able to work against it. filling it underneath you can compensate these moments of increased buoyancy. The only entagnlement risk is the line - that is why we demonstrated it this way. If you have the line and the bag - the line is underneath you as well and you cnat see it. if you do it with the buddy - the line goes away from you and is in fact NOT under you. The liftbag itself is comletely free of any hazzards - you cant get entangled in it. We do it like this for more then 20 years in thousants of dives and teach it for 12 years now without a single incident - exactly for those reasons.

Extremely sensible and non-obvious. Why others do not make these points is unclear.
