There’s a melee mutator that increases status applied by 50% and resistance reduced by 10.. this way you’re not dealing with corroded sometimes procing red ring
While I thoroughly enjoy this deep dive, can you spend a little bit of time comparing this amulet to the Sinister Totem? The Sinister Totem also increases status damage by 50% without hurting you. You just need to ramp it up.
Ramping it takes a pretty long while, but yeah, that’s the biggest reason this amulet is such a let-down - 50% additive DOT damage isn’t worth losing most of your loadout to trying to mitigate the downside. Until the self-application counts as team/self damage, it’s not terribly worth it - Sinister gives that full damage if you can really roll a map or apply a bunch of DOTs constantly, Fragrant gives a great additive bonus AND exposed, and ENC is just obscenely strong still.
I call this the wetard ring because those are the only people who will think its good. The other 50% ring stacks from application which is easy on most mods. This ring comes with a bonus of using lifesteal rings or a dmg resist aka tanking which as a status build is just dumb considering you can pick a tank class or healer like alch medic and warden. Its a stupid ring with poor design because bad design choices like invokers useless relic ability. Dont waste time on it unless you just have crap dmg rings. Frankly every elemental dmg boost ring does way more damage than this. Between fire and shock theres more than enough to justify a focus or high dmg output.

I see witch fire wasn’t used much. Would probably throw creeping mist on. The AOE trait maxed makes it 22.5 range and it increases elemental damage to
