    I believe the FT 2 is unbelievably one of the best fitness exercise equipment that is been around. It's small enough for your home and also for schools, gyms, Hotels and Country clubs. And the videos are invaluable. Maybe you should have a disk with each one.

    I purchased this machine in January 2021 as a package that included the leg developer and preacher curl attachment.
    Mostly only good things to say, with following exceptions:
    * As Fred shows, you connect the low pulleys around a guide wheel (don't know term) to attach to a hook. However, there's a small piece of plastic that acts as a guard. The installer hooked up one side and told me to hook up the other. "Just pull the plastic part out" he says. SNAP! Broke right off. Thankfully (as the installer said) it has no real usefulness. Kinda cheap and bad design.
    * There are handles that stick out from the bench that are used to set the incline/decline of the bench. When doing lying leg curls, the cable clangs against these pins to make a distracting ugly sound. Once when the cable clip actually caught on the handle. I learned to run the cable over the handles, but the still clip still rotates when in motion and hits the handles, which makes the ugly sounds.
    * I can't speak to the preacher attachment as that's on backorder.
    Overall though, it's a satisfactory bench. But, it could use some design improvements.

    When doing leg curls, I find that at the top (when squeezing the pads to your butt) that there seems to be a lack of tension. I can literally get it to a spot where you can let go with your legs and it will balance there. Is there anyway to fix this?

    We do not have the cable set up. So when doing leg curls we put plates on. The problem is that when you curl up too high (where your ankles are within 5 inches of your butt) , the whole thing falls towards your butt and there is no tension to pull it back the other way. Someone has to manually pull it off of you. Could be very dangerous if you have much weight on. The salesperson told us we did not need the cable to use this leg curl option. Is there something I am missing?

      @InspireFitnessCA  2 года назад

      Hi Linda, the purpose of the cable is to connect the leg extension attachment to the weight stacks on the machine so you do not need to use the weight plates. You do not need it in order to use the attachment. When doing leg curls, we recommend not exceeding a 90-degree angle.

    Can I use my FT1 bench to do leg curls on the FT2 trainer?

      Hi Kane, the Leg Extension/ Curl Attachment is compatible with the FT1 Bench, and can be tied into the weight stacks on the FT2 with the FT2 leg kit option.

    Any tip to work calves with the ft2? Thank you.

    • @tonyable9166

      Mate, just do a standard calf raise using the red smith bar across your back as you would for squats and simply perform standing calf raises. Add extra effort by placing top third of foot (toes) on a bar and perform same standing calf raises.

      Calf raises with the smith bar or with the belt over your upper back would do!

    Leg curls with that machine is highly dangerous. Cable snaps back. Going back to retailer to see if there's something I'm doing wrong. Just been doing standing leg curls with ankle straps.

    This review is about the FT2 system, The bench is so cheap, the cable at the bottom (climbing hooks) hit the bench, so you hear a click clack every rep, then the lying leg curl is so uncomfortable, I would return if I could, the bar locking mechanism is horrible too. My suggestion is USE THE FULL MACHINE BEFORE YOU BUY, do a bench press, squat, and leg curl before buying the ft2 system, I bet you won't buy it after you do those exercises, maybe that's why they don't have a bench in the store because they know you won't buy it. I never used those functions till I got it home, I had to order the bench and now I have this 4500 machine we all hate.

      It’s a great machine. You might just not know how to use it. I’ve been using it for personal training for the past few years and everyone including myself really likes it. Honestly it’s the most versatile machine ever. I’ve had clients request to just use the FT2 during their full body workout since it’s so easy to go from exercise to exercise and it’s really smooth.
