This trailer is intoxicating and fucking awesome!!! (I read the lyrics for the badass song featured in this trailer and it goes so well with the Jason Brody's story it gave me chills!)
Far Cry 3, although it was an amazing game, had a major flaw: The absence of Vaas in the game. How can you have your vilain on the cover of your own game and include him in the game for a total of 15 minutes combined? Vaas was an amazing character, but Far Cry 3 lacked something really important: Vaas. And don't even get me started about Hoyt. After killing Vaas, I could've gave a fuck less about Hoyt. The game should've been more about Vaas and it wasn't. So I hope Far Cry 4 is more about the vilain.
Rohitt Baladien Hoyt pretty much came out of nowhere if you ask me. I felt as if Hoyt was there just as a vilain replacement, no development whatsoever.
-----------------------------------Spoiler------------------------------------------------------------- The thing is that Vaas was intended to be the one that was paralleled with Jason, and killing him made Jason "take the torch" as the ultimate Rakyat warrior. When he kills him, he in a sense becomes Vaas. I think they should have just made Hoyt more interesting.
just finished far cry 3 for the 3rd time a few minutes ago, despite a few things being outdated it is still just as incredible as that first experience
Got this game a few days ago, why did i wait so long to get this???? This happened to me with Borderlands, anytime i would go to gamestop i would see it and wonder if it was good or not but never tried it until one day i got it and this was during summer and i was off of school so i played that game sooooo much. :P Definitely will be getting Far Cry 4 when it comes out. >:)
Fuck. It's a video game trailer and it gives me chills. Vaas is hands down one of the best villains in a video game. He is so much more than just a bad guy. He's a symbol of Jason and the entire game
Neah at the end with "you are me, and I am you" he meant that the island lowered Jason to Vaas' level. Something like "you and me are not different". They are not the same person.
Well obviously it's not, if it's some sort of pre squeal to a game they most likely aren't going to name it by number. They would add another name to it. Like GTA, i'm sure there will be another GTA game that's within the story of GTA 5 but they aren't going to call it GTA 6 obviously..
the concept for far cry 2 just was not executed as well as it could have been but with far cry 3 we are going well beyond the potential that far cry 2 had and only time will tell but i believe this will truly be a revolutionary game
I have theory for the plot... if you watch the very end of the trailer (1:22) as the player points the gun at the "antagonist," you can see at the very last second the face change. Also after this happens the antagonist says "You are me." I propose that the face which you see in that split second is actually the player or the main character's face and this "antagonist" is actually the main character trying to deal, what else, his insanity, hence the title of the trailer. Just a theory.
Not likely. The devs have talked about the idea being that Jason is having to become like Vaas in order to survive. Vaas is someone who has grown up on the island and has grown tough and cruel to survive. Jason hasn't been through that stuff so the idea is that he is forced to become like Vaas in various ways in order to survive.
It isn't the boss. It is the "Tyrrant" of the island. The head honcho that makes the tourists "disappear" if the Pirates don't get to them first. The paramilitaries and pirates are enemies and you play as either side in multiplayer.
They say that using vulgar words show a person's insecurity. We tend to use profanity when we experience pain. The pain can be either physical, emotional, or mental. You have the right to use these words but all they prove is one's strife or disdain.
Was a bit mad they delayed it to December, but when they said they want I perfect instead of almost perfect, I smiled and realized they rather get it right.
No. As I mentioned, unlike rating systems used in other countries, the difference is that ESRB-M is *legally* available to ALL ages. Anyone can purchase right now on Amazon. Or Fry's. They don't do age check and are not required to. (with the exception of obscenity, the same applies to movie ratings, which is why home video versions can also be *unrated*) This has been settled by Federal courts and the Supreme Court
The cut scene graphics are exactly the same as the gameplay graphics. No game does it in video because there isn't enough space on the disk, it's all rendered in real time, so you're obviously mistaken.
What is the twist at the end would be that there was no Vaas all along, it was all from jason's imagination. Just like black ops campaign when that one russian guy wasn't alive, but mason saw him.
I agree with you there but to me that's just what it feels like, I mean I miss the wolf-like powers where you had super speed, could jump miles into the air, could follow a scent trail to find where your prey is, had night vision, and also had super strength!
I'm trying so hard to get used to this new concept. I'm completely used to Far Cry 2, I still remember it so well. I watched game play, trailers, and whatever else I could to force myself to try and like Far Cry 3, I might still buy it regardless in hopes that I might like it once I play it. Theres something about this, so bright colored, ocean so blue, the characters look something from a punk borderlands. This is not what I'm used to. I miss Far Cry 2, and most likely will buy it again instead
They want you to consider what made Vaas the way he is now, and if you are any different from him, due to the actions you may or may not take in the game, to reach your ultimate "goal", which as the game progresses- Becomes increasing unclear and full of choices that have no right or wrong answer to them.
i don't get how they were able to launch a trailer, across the non-age restricted net, that contains frontal nudity and drops the f-bomb at least five times.
Ughhh!!! I have been waiting for this game to be released since the first teaser trailer was released. Already pre-ordered it and have been waiting for months. Already replayed Far Cry 1 and 2. This is going to be, by far, THE best game. Hands Down, with an amazing story mode as always plus a just as good multiplayer mode. There isn't really much competition, and nothing that can even be put up to be as good as this.
Also Vaas says "The thing is I did not bring you here, you walked in here" and then Jason *listen to the voice and accent* completes the sentence "all by yourself". So yeah.
It went Gold quite a bit of time ago...reviewers get early acces to the special copies of the game. They DID have the time to play and review it already.
this jason voice actor is so much beyter than the actual one i also wish that they made it look like it originally did and be all vaas as the villain and not have hoyt or anyone would have been way more badass in a already badass game
"You are me!
And I am you."
gives me chills every time.

Far Cry 2: "WAKE UP! I used to BE you!" - The Jackal
Far Cry 3: "You are me. And I am you." - Vaas
I freaking love this trailer, I dont know why but I've seen it ten times allready xD I like all Far Cry 3 trailers but I think this one is the best!
I come from the future
Yup
i to am from the future. this game made me do drugs
"You....are me"
And I.....am you" The way Vaas say it...so cool
This trailer is intoxicating and fucking awesome!!! (I read the lyrics for the badass song featured in this trailer and it goes so well with the Jason Brody's story it gave me chills!)
You sir, four years later will tell me this song
@@carbonismute ruclips.net/video/nqq2mDfxIeE/видео.html
"Did I ever tell you the definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the exact same thing, over and over again, and expecting different results"
I got serious goosebumps from this. One of the most interesting story lines I've ever seen. And Vas wins best antagonist for me. o.o
Can Far Cry 4 beat Far cry 3? I think not.
Nyeeh, 3 needed more depth if you ask me.
Imagine fc3 with missions as complex, varied & numerous as those in skyrim.
Now *that* would be a good game.
Far Cry 3, although it was an amazing game, had a major flaw: The absence of Vaas in the game. How can you have your vilain on the cover of your own game and include him in the game for a total of 15 minutes combined? The game should've been more about Vaas and it wasn't. So I hope Far Cry 4 is more about the vilain.
egosly you're right, I didn't care about Hoyt either. Vaas was amazing, but they did not put him enough in the game.
Rohitt Baladien Hoyt pretty much came out of nowhere if you ask me. I felt as if Hoyt was there just as a vilain replacement, no development whatsoever.
-----------------------------------Spoiler-------------------------------------------------------------

This game was amazing, regardless of changes and such. I fucking loved it. And I still have it to this day, on 360.
This was so much better then farcry 4 and 5. I think i prefer this trailer, over the entirety of farcry 5.
"You are so close to the end!"
Lol Vaas is talking about the dev cycle.
Its the strangest feeling I love this madness
word are not enough to express how much I love this game. gameplay, story, characters, music, graphics - top notch.
I've finished the game 2 times to see each ending. It was a great game.
Yet I still watch this trailer almost daily.
Best. Game. Ever.
ive finnished it 4 and a half times :P still love it
song is Ramona Falls - Brevony, музыка с трейлера Ramona Falls - Brevony
Thank you! I was just looking for the song!
Thank you took me till now to figure it out thank you so much
You're the best, bro
Have all far crys and I still play this one the most.
God damn, such a good trailer. I remember watching this for the first time, and even now that i've beaten the game it still gave me chills.
The Best Far Cry without a fucking doubt
Got this game a few days ago, why did i wait so long to get this???? Far Cry 3 is UNBEATEN
far cry 4 should be a prequel about vaas
like his backstory and you play as him
yah thats what I meant by it but wouldnt that be awesome wouldnt it
Well obviously it's not, if it's some sort of pre squeal to a game they most likely aren't going to name it by number. They would add another name to it. Like GTA, i'm sure there will be another GTA game that's within the story of GTA 5 but they aren't going to call it GTA 6 obviously..
Every Far Cry is different, they will never do that. Sadly
Love the ending "You are me and I am you"
not only the new one bro. They do tons of research and gameplay improvements in every new AC, and that makes them awesome.
I have a feeling that this is going 2 be where you are just imagining youreself doing all this and you are actually vaas
Let's just take a moment to say f
for all the scrapped content.
Oh,and that music is awesome!
You can`t kill me hermano. You are me... and I... am you.
I get the feeling that insane Vaas will be thinking of Jason as his best friend by the end of the game.
the concept for far cry 2 just was not executed as well as it could have been but with far cry 3 we are going well beyond the potential that far cry 2 had and only time will tell but i believe this will truly be a revolutionary game
Vaas is such an awesome villain, I hope he becomes as memorable as the Joker
I have theory for the plot... if you watch the very end of the trailer (1:22) as the player points the gun at the "antagonist," you can see at the very last second the face change. That might be why Vaas says "You are me, and I, am you.
You have no idea how glad I am that there's finally an R18+ rating here in Australia. No way in hell would this game get through otherwise.
I think Citra is here too. Jason is still alive, hermano.
That's probably the most amazing villain ever. Period.
It isn't the boss. It is the "Tyrrant" of the island. The head honcho that makes the tourists "disappear" if the Pirates don't get to them first. The paramilitaries and pirates are enemies and you play as either side in multiplayer.

it seems like he is, i mean when Vaas says "lets go, shoot me" it flicks from him holding the gun to himself to jason smiling in Vaas' position
It's called Brevony by Ramona Falls, and it's the same song throughout the whole trailer.
Vaas is not insane, Vaas is an upstanding citizen.
Was a bit mad they delayed it to December, but when they said they want I perfect instead of almost perfect, I smiled and realized they rather get it right.
So do I! So do I, he seems to have his own bloody philosophy to content with.
That makes him an interesting character as well, if not too hyped.
I just can't help watching this video every fucking day, until, game is released.
No. As I mentioned, unlike rating systems used in other countries, the difference is that ESRB-M is *legally* available to ALL ages. Anyone can purchase right now on Amazon. Or Fry's. Back to what made Farcry Instincts so great. I can't wait!
The cut scene graphics are exactly the same as the gameplay graphics. No game does it in video because there isn't enough space on the disk, it's all rendered in real time, so you're obviously mistaken.
the graphics in this game are just brilliant
You are me...and i am you...
One of the most badass trailers for a video game ever
These guys made the ultimate outlet.
Impressive
What is the twist at the end would be that there was no Vaas all along, it was all from jason's imagination. Just like black ops campaign when that one russian guy wasn't alive, but mason saw him.
You can only dig bullets out of your arm for so long, eventually you just have a flap of skin with holes in it.
"Might be on to something"?
Vaas clearly says "You are me, I am you"
I agree with you there but to me that's just what it feels like, I mean I miss the wolf-like powers where you had super speed, could jump miles into the air, could follow a scent trail to find where your prey is, had night vision, and also had super strength!
his face changes into yours its a illusion your player sees, vaas is trying to make you go insane
I'm trying so hard to get used to this new concept. I'm completely used to Far Cry 2, I still remember it so well. I miss Far Cry 2, and most likely will buy it again instead
Watch 1:21 closely for a split second vaas's model changes to Jason's
the funny thing is your picture is booker dewitt and your name is vaas
They want you to consider what made Vaas the way he is now, and if you are any different from him, due to the actions you may or may not take in the game, to reach your ultimate "goal", which as the game progresses-
Becomes increasing unclear and full of choices that have no right or wrong answer to them.
The song is called brevony romona falls
Me: I know the definition of insanity
Vaas: yea? tell me
Me: call of duty
Vaas: :/
FYI, M is not equivalent to PEGI 18 or Aus' R18 et. al. as M is still available to all ages.
i don't get how they were able to launch a trailer, across the non-age restricted net, that contains frontal nudity and drops the f-bomb at least five times.

@luddesnudde when vaas says "you are me, & I am you" he is only playing one of his mind games to make Jason feel insane.
It went Gold quite a bit of time ago...reviewers get early acces to the special copies of the game. They DID have the time to play and review it already.
Have i ever told you the definition of insanity
it seems the antagonist and the main character are the same person in different mental states.
This trailer gives me the chills.
You are me... and I am you
I'm not sure, maybe some minor bits, I'm just as excited though about the open world environment and the Elder Scrolls world interaction
Why does Jason have tatau in both arms in this trailer, but in the game he only has it on his left?
Song is Brevony by Ramona Falls
Can't wait to get this get this game!!!! I reckon Vaas will end up helping Jason?
"I said these comments would take you places. I didn't say they would be places you'd want to go."
its like the far cry 2 trailer.
the ending, that price is maybe your soon. You don't find the jackal, the jackal finds you
This game looks amazing and Vaas is an awesome villain he messes with your mind
Has anyone else realised that the voice actor for Vaas, Michael Mando actually looks like Vaas?
The song name is brevony, by Ramona Falls
Can't wait to play this, just hope they allow us to do mods. I have a serious old Farcry map I want to redo.
that face that flashed was the protagonist's brother
0:13 was probably the best part...
I know the insane guy is the antaganist, but i like him. He seems like a fun guy
Well I was at Gamestop and the Far Cry 3 sign said: "Like Skyrim but with guns"
One does not simply wait for Far Cry 3!!
It did. They changed after E3, I believe.
I don't think he said "darken self" I think he said "God Damn self"
Why will the pain stop once Jason Brody is death ?
This trailer is so fucking amazing, it gives me goosebumps everytime i watch it.
Yes my friend, you came all right.
this is the far cry game iv been waiting for
i love vaas voice in this game is so epic
