You are an absolute angel. I am a single mom and full time nursing student, so I don't have time to spend hours and hours weeding through textbooks trying to find what's important. Your videos save my life. Seriously. I have a 3.98 thanks to you!
Sarah, I love me some you! Let me tell you how you got me through school to become an LPN in 2019 and now I am back with you transitioning to a RN! In Jesus name AMEN. I pray that he blesses you and your family continuously just as you have been a blessing for myself and nursing students over the world. I can't stress enough how awesome it is that you took the time out to provide us these resources to learn this oh so very important role we have been called to do, and you do so so effortlessly. You make learning this material so easy and break it down in a way that we can understand. I thank you a million times and wish I could hug you. Many blessings :O)
Thanks' for such excellent explanation , my son is in MICU with this exact same thing, it started when he got pneumonia, today is his 8th day being on the ventilator , this has helped me to understand so much more.
I cannot thank you enough for making these videos! I am in my last semester of RN school and it has been so hard, and I have always struggled with cardiac content. With your videos, I learn more in 20-30 minutes than I do with a 3 hour lecture from my instructors! Thank you for taking the time to explain things in a way that anyone can understand!
Very useful information.I`m an ex IV drug user and in 1991 I had SBE endocarditis. I thought I just had bad dose of flu. I went from 12 stone to 7.5 stone in 5 weeks. Spent 2 months in hospital and in the intensive care unit. The symptoms were horrible. Glad I survived. It kills many drug users. I had to have my tricuspid valve replaced in 2001,as the infection damaged the valve. Then had to have a redo valve replacement in 2012. Anyone out there, stay away from drugs....
The more I learn about what my body went through it really scares and feel so incredibly great I don't exactly understand....Feb 2018 I had a stroke due to endocarditis, not entirely sure how large the vegetation was ( or whether it was on tricuspid or mitral valves both were replaced) Im assuming the stroke was due to part of the vegetation breaking off I remember being covered in head to toe in spots....renial failure (20%) function i belive dialysis started the nxt day.I then had a CT due to pain in my jaw.. some how my kidney function came back and able to 2 stop mycotic aneurisms. Then craniotomy, open heart surgery , partial Great toe amputation...last summer newly released from hospital my vision went dark and my I.D Dr. Got me to an optometrist to give injections well he showed me the mound of bleeding that previously was occurring in my retinas, post 1st injection almost completely gone.. although I even have scarring in both maculas which he told me was extremely unfortunate and rare....now I'm completely clean no maintenance..and somehow even started working again... I'm reminded in a multitude of ways every day of a false illusion that I literally spent chasing to my grave and yet I'm still here
Me too, thank you so much for helping me get all the questions on heart block right on my final exams nursing school. I also passed my boards August 10, 16. to as an RN. you are great! I will still tune in as I begin my nursing career. Thanks again.
