5:30 - I don’t know much about forgotten realms lore, but I think this depicts the town of Elturel being sent to a Avernus, one of the rings of hell. I like the idea of this deck, I’ve been looking to get into red :D
I'm probably gonna be swapping Torbran for Blyte and just using him in the 99. I like the more risk/reward playstyle where you want to yo-yo your life total for a big benefit. She also wants to run a bunch of janky cards you'd never run just to deal damage to yourself, and that sort of deckbuilding really appeals to me.
@@bettercommander It's a good thing I won't have to change the deck that much, just replacing some of the damage spells with symmetrical ones, and adding in ways to give vigilance and lifelink.
There is something very important that isn’t noted in this video. How scary double dmg effects are, let me explain. Say you your commander is has 3 counters on it with life link. Yeah? And a double dmg effect. You swing into a 10/10, clearly he will be wondering what are you doing… in response to the attack, you pay the mana to remove the counters to deal 3 dmg, but it gets doubled to 6 dmg, which reflects back onto auntie, you do the dance 2/3 times effectively Doubling his dmg for 2 mana each time. All the dmg you hit yourself with gets healed also. So I mean, very interesting way to KO on opponent with commander dmg. Especially if you just use the last trigger to remove 5 counters only which is 10 dmg to the blocking creature so your commander goes in without being blocked at all.. So much insanity lol
If a source you control has lifelink and deals damage to you, you DO take the damage and also gain life to wind up at 0 difference, right? But you did actually take the damage for the purposes of powering up Auntie, right?
Funny part is he kinda mentioned with giving him vigilance with the life link. Who cares if you don’t don’t have trample.. the life link still triggers again… and at the end of the person’s turn right before yours you activate the ability which also triggers the life link. You end up with x2 the dmg you given yourself and whatever dmg your opponents attempted to hit you with. Ironically this is surprisingly political, it’s a revenge deck in that sense… oh you hurt me? I hurt you.. harder… lol
I came here for a deck idea and ended up dying laughing at these little jokes thrown in, keep up the AMAZING work!

It's a different play style for sure. Get used to shorter games!

Me too, I have a Greven deck, makes for quick games.

I was skeptical about this card when I first saw the spoiler, but this vid made my commander sense tingle. Nice vid my man
If I make one person tingle today, then it's a day worth living

i have played this deck. mana barbs turn 3 and torbran turn 4 was a quick game
No Volcano Hellion? It was like the first card I thought of when seeing Auntie
That is a great include. I missed it. I went more spell heavy, but that's an excellent source of damage.
Wheel of misfortune also

Yeah. That's surprisingly relevant.

Zozu the punisher seems fun for the deck
There are a number of effects like him. I like that effect because we get to benefit from the self harm, but we also punish greedy manabases.
@@bettercommander absolutely turn a slight downside into all upside
Yes thank you sir gonna make this deck
This is a really interesting design, you'll never be bored.
3:17 also is that a fedsmoker reference
No, it's a Connald reference, may he RIP! Touch my camera throught the fence forever.
@@bettercommander yezzur peterson conald lmao
He also goes by fedsmoker
