Hello, This is my feedback about the Boson exam platform. I purchased Boson ExSim-Max for the Cisco 200-301 CCNA Exam, and I have practiced the exam multiple times and thoroughly read the questions and their explanations. As a result, I have memorized all 315 questions and answers. I trusted Boson as a reliable platform, and the high scores I achieved in the practice simulations with the Boson ExSim-Max made me confident that I could pass the exam. Unfortunately, the questions on the real exam were very tough and did not match the ExSim-Max questions. As a result, I failed my CCNA exam, which was held on May 21, 2024.
Im also curious on how to theorical multiple choices match the boson simulator? And how diferent was the real test compared to Boson NetSim simulation prep?
Thanks for your honest feedback and for sharing your experience. Terribly sorry to hear that you didn’t pass. It’s a good warning to others to not completely rely on Boson. As I highlighted in the video, even if you remember the answers, you should be able to explain and justify out loud why the answer is correct. That being said perhaps I should modify the title of this video to reflect this possibility of failure. Best of luck to you in your future attempts!❤️
Respect for the disclaimer at the beginning. Going through Jeremy’s course, and I already purchased Ex-Sim. Planning on taking the exam in the second half of May.
Thank you so much bro Your video helped me so much more than my professor ever have. I feel like your video is going to help me get a very high score. God bless your channel

Thanks, not sure if it will work for me but I just feel so fucking lost now and overwhelmed. Just finished Niels course and writing my first test with 25% almost made me quit the entire thing. With your method I can finally make some focus instead of panicing about all the stuff at once.

Happy Holidays and thank you for the video. I plan to take the CCNA exam in 2024. I bought the Neil Anderson video and plan on purchasing the Boson Exam and NetSim Labs. My question for you is did you buy the Boson NetSim labs also? If so, could you share your strategy? Please let me know and thanks!
Happy holidays my friend! I recommend you supplement Neil Andersons course with Jeremy's IT lab free course on RUclips, Jeremy knows how to break down complex topics like STP. I only bought Boson Ex-Sim for the CCNA. I find that Neil's labs are quite sufficient and easy to follow along with. All the best and feel free to ask me anything!
Omg, Thank you brother very much from the bottom of my heart. You just explain everything that was on my mind about ExSIm. My exam is on 8th September and I am studying from around 10 months and still feel like only basics have achieved. So I will buy the ExSIm and do exactly like you do. Thanks a Billion.
You've already passed man. Take your sweet time when using Boson and taking notes. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. All the best and let me know how it goes.
Very insightful video. Thank you so much for making this. Just one question, how do you go about using the 2 volume study guide books? What's your best recommendation?
I believe you are referring to the OCGs. I only checked those books when they were referenced in Boson or when I needed to read about a particular topic to consolidate what I already know about it.
Just practice your subnetting on subnetting.org and perhaps take a random exam on Boson. Other than that, just kick back and relax. You've you done the work, you got this.
Congratulations on passing your CCNA. Just wanted to remind those who are not familiar with Boson's Ex-Sim in that the practice exams are not the exact same questions that is on the CCNA exam. Boson is not in the business of spoon-feeding candidates the questions/answers unlike a Pass4Sure or other brain-dump site. This is about familiarizing yourself with the level of difficulty expected in the exam, and thus highly crucial that you know the concepts of the material. Discipline and desire should be the driving force to reaching this goal. Whoops, slipped into asian mom mode on that last part. lol.
Hahaha you’re absolutely correct. I wish I could have articulated this when I recorded the video. Because people seem to think this is a short cut because of my title. But it is actually insane and Asian mom mode is required to get through the steps I outlined! Thanks for your comment!
Damn I’ve be been studying for 10 months now and took exam A with a passing score of only 50% -__- goes to show I didn’t really know as much as I had thought. That sucks big time and I’ve got my exam in 3 weeks :(
Hey Fernando, that's perfectly fine. Don't beat yourself up about it. Be humble, everyone fails exam A. You have plenty of time. Boson is really hard compared to the real exam, at least now you know exactly where you are and you can now move forward. Note down your weak areas and get to work. You got this!
@@timbrap4693 Boson doesn't give 'partial grades', for lack of a better term. In multiple answer questions, (Those where you have to select 2 or 3 options), if you get one incorrect, you get no points for that question in Boson. Whereas the CCNA awards points for the options you selected correctly.

Hey Netcode, I don’t know how well you’ve studied before starting to attempt Boson. Like I said in my video, this is not a shortcut or trick. You have to have studied the material beforehand :) But for what it’s worth, Boson is way harder than the actual exam because it doesn’t give partial points for the multiple answer questions, so don’t be so hard on yourself. Slow down when retaking the exams, I know it gets boring doing the same questions over and over but you need to fully convince yourself that you’re not just remembering the answer. A tip that helped me was explaining why the other options are wrong OUT LOUD and confidently. Read and watch videos/labs on topics for which you got the question incorrect. You have lots of time and I know you’re gonna do great!
@@johnkatende3I wanted to come back to this and say I passed yesterday! I had decent scores in each category but as you know Cisco stopped showing /1000. Boson is definitely harder than the exam. My exam C score ended up being 733. Thanks for this video John!
