Cindy is a rare cardio instructor on RUclips. She does everything right and goes the extra mile with her verbal instructions with additional info on the specific effect of the movements on the body. I go to Cindy's videos first. And I may go to them exclusively although I need a lit of variety to keep up my energy.
At last!!! A senior teaching seniors. I can't believe her energy, but it inspires me!! Looks like our aerobics classes in the 80's....Love it. Thank you Cindy!!!

There is so much to do with Cindy. I did these for the first time today and I think of them as HIGH-HIGHER intensity level rather than HI-LOW. Just a warning to those who do this for the first time.

Hey Cindy!
I have just turned 59 and have only in the past year started taking care of my body.
You really inspire me to get better in exercising.
However I have a hard time with coordinating the movements as I exercise.
Do you have a video for beginners on witch the moves are repeated more times ( so I can try to learn how to do them) and perhaps a little bit slower?
I sure hope so. I also hope to soon be able to follow all of your exercises!
The Beginner Tai Chi Exercise is great!
I wish you well! Thanks for the great work!

Hello Cindy, do you ever use the Functional Trainer Cable Machine with Dual 200 pound weight stacks? What advice for a senior using it the first time? There's one at the GYM in our Senior Center. I have been exercising with you for over a year now and feel so much better.
No , I do not. At our gyms, we have personal trainers that can direct our members in the correct way to use the machines. I think they are the best source for direction. Thank you for asking and glad you are staying active!
You are fabulous! Subscribed 🙂
Great workout! Loved it!
i had fun for sure
You are fantastic
Thinking you might be unstoppable!
Not true! Just finishedteaching my Zumba class and ready to Chill!!!! Thank you for watching!
Hi again Cindy, When I do the mat ab workout I have problems with my neck? Do you have any suggestions to help with this? I would like to keep doing the workout as I think it is more effective than standing ab workouts.
On this video, it shows options for not lifting your neck: www.fitnesswithcindy.com/ab-workout-for-seniors/ You can do the part where I crunch up without using your head and neck. Just keep flat as shown in the first set for each exercise and repeat with me without crunching up,
However, the head and neck should not be initiating the move, if they are, you will feel pain. In other words, keep an apple's distance under chin and use your core muscles to lift you up.
Standing, and seated core along with diet, can be as effective however....We do not want pain!
Thanks for viewing and choosing to remain healthy and strong!
Hi Cindy, I just found your channel while looking for HIIT videos for seniors. I was going to subscribe, but have you stopped making new videos?
No, we still offer them and but also have 100 free videos to try on our website:www.fitnesswithcindy.com Last week was new and the next one will be. Thank you for asking and continue to remain healthy and strong!
Excellent!
Love it thank you Cindy 👍🏽💪🏽🥰
And thank you for watching and choosing to remain active. May you stay healthy and strong! 👌😃😍
Hi Cindy, I started doing your exercises today. I did this video,,an ab one and an arm sculpting one with weights. I’m in my sixties and started doing online exercise videos daily 4 months ago before that my exercise was going for walks. I did not keep up with this routine but did my best and enjoyed it a lot. I plan on choosing some of your routines to do each day as I think they are more what I want and need than the ones I have been doing. I notice you said I should not do the weight one everyday but
I want to do an arm toning one each day so is it ok to switch it up with the band one every other day or one of your other arm ones?
Hi Claire, thank you for your interest. Muscles need 48 hours to repair and rebuild, if you continue to do any form of resistance or weight training everyday, eventually you will form a rip in the muscle that will only get larger and cause damage. It the tear gets too big, you will be down or off to surgery. Give the muscles time to rebuild and just do every other day, perhaps adding more reps on those day
I speak from experience of not resting the muscles and ended up in therapy and no weights for six months! You will see results, it just takes time.
Thank you for watching our videos and continue to stay healthy and strong!
love this!
This is a great workout, but too many commercials make it very frustrating
Beautiful work out. But the commercials interfere.
You're awesome!
That's so sweet of you, Genya! Thanks for watching. If you enjoyed the workout please consider subscribing to my channel :)

thanks wendy the carpet home depot lady
Thank you for watching!
Good workout, but way too many ads.
👍🌷⚘
Don't do any of the spine flexion that she is doing if you have osteoporosis!
Thank you Karen for reminding us to choose workouts that are appropriate for our own personal conditions. HIIT is for conditioned exerciser for sure, I have both osteopenia and osteoporosis but have started to have better dexa scans with attention to diet and exercise. I am so excited that many of my in class students are also seeing improvements even with out medication. If your numbers are in dangerous levels, definitely follow you doctors recommendations for activity and look around our website: www.fitnesswithcindy to find less intense workouts which will help benefit bone growth and slow down bone loss. Thank you for sharing,
I thought HIT was 1 minute high intensity followed by 30 seconds of down time, repeat...…..
Yes, that is one of many formats. Here:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-intensity_interval_training is a good explanation of hiit where it can be any segments of high intensity then recover. Another good example is: ruclips.net/video/ml6cT4AZdqI/видео.html Here the trainer is doing several 30 segments in a row before recovery. Keep in mind, these are senior routines we have. I f you open the hiit routine above, my classes and myself would be blowing out hips, knees, backs, lol, not all of us but many of us..So these hiits we post are a way to get that heart rate up and slow it down with a senior spin. Does that make sense? Thank you for your question.
I'm 60 and way out of shape. I can barely move and you're jumping around like a teenager! I subscribed and I'll will be working toward moving as good as you or close to it. I want to do it right, though and not hurt myself.
Thank you so much for your response!
@@katieirish5765 Katie! I hope this makes you feel better. I threw my hip out last week and so this week I have been in low impact cardio, easy muscle building, and light stretching. We work where we are at and just keep moving in a manner that doesn't injure us further. LOL, part of the aging process. I admire your determination!
Perhaps the MOST disorganized work out I've ever seen. Beats were all over the place, movements added and subtracted at whim, and no clear delineation between long stretches at closing and the cool-down. I'm going to keep searching for a clearer workout.
Thank you for your input. Always looking for ways to make the videos more doable for our followers.
Turn it off or move on to the next one.
