Not sure why so many peoples are making excuses for this play, he missed him, still played extremely well. He just missed it.

There’s a laundry list for the reasons why they lost, this was not one of them.

Brock is not able to change stuff. He has said that in press conferences. Special teams and defense lost that game.

Purdy is a system QB period. He rarely makes plays off script.

Kyle doesn’t ask too much of his quarterback… meaning… he doesn’t ask him to handle things like protections (he gives that job to the center guard) and designs the plays, checkdowns, audibles, etc, so that the qb has an answer for every defensive coverage that is given to him. Quarterbacking is so damn hard because he has to know all the motions, calls, determine pre-snap and post-snap, when to call the audible, what to do and who to throw it to while the defense is ready to kill him. Kyle doesn’t even call too many play action for Purdy. Play action helps QBs find the open throwing lanes. Purdy has to find those lanes himself. If Purdy handled the protections and called the plays himself, it would make him less efficient. There’s too much that goes into quarterbacking.

Lack of chemistry from not going through training definitely shows. Aiyuk and Purdy of are on better page then they could throw up Hand or something to go for end zone

Brock made a lot of plays to win the game. Why are they talking about the one play he didn't make. It's crazy.

the last guy on the call sounds like why they call us the "whiners"

No Shasky! Has nothing to do with being a system qb. Purdy has done so many things beyond what Kyle expects him to do. (Remember the throw in Seattle to BA in thanksgiving where it surprised Kyle but it convinced him while it was in the air that it was the right decision.). Purdy doesn’t have the arm strength and he acknowledges that. He has to decide really early to make that throw. If he threw that late, Purdy knows that the ball would have been in danger of being picked off by the safety. That’s why Kyle and Purdy stated that they didn’t know where the safety was. It’s one of Purdy’s limitations of not having arm strength. He has to decide really early and throw on time. But Purdy is a baller. He maybe a system QB but he IS THE SYSTEM. No one can run that system better than any QB in this league. He elevates Kyle’s system. Just listen to Brett Kollmann in his analysis of Purdy and called him a top 8 quarterback.

Qbs don't see every open receiver. No qb sees every open receiver.

He’s a timing and rhythm passer when your not on your spot at that time then he’s moving on

Exactly, he's a system QB. Kyler is the opposite of a system QB so he did not miss all the Ram's blown coverages to the tune of 41 pts. In week 1 most of the blown coverages were on the back side except one which Goff did hit for 52 yards to Jameson Williams. If your WR is playing vs the Rams start him.

So if Kyler is not a system qb explain to us why he’s had no success in the nfl. If he’s so electric and off script qb what does he have to show for it

    Here are the facts:
    1. Brock throws with great anticipation
    2. Brock goes through his reads quickly
    3. Brock missed the go route on a broken coverage play

One of Brock’s weaknesses is his size he cannot see over the line so he’s going to miss some things
