The trick is get the cheap lures for their action but replace the hardware, also because the cheap ones are so light due to poor materials the custom hardware weighs them down better. Not for all scenarios but very good when fishing snags where the loss of lures is high.
@@tyvain might be different when you are, terminal tackle isn’t overly expensive here to the point I even change out terminal tackle on Rapala, Zerek, Molix etc. We chase Barramundi here so a 3x hook is a minimum.

i disagree. pb with cheap is the hooks. low quality. rust quickly. high quality hooks cost a lot. period.

@@luxr3148 so you end up with an expensive lure overall. Look at hook price. Not worth. get a good brand lurre, or a good custom lurre.
