This is the closest we'll get to a SRW representation of the Mazinger Zero version (the manga) of Graet Mazinger. Trust me, he's an absolute BOSS in the manga, even evolves into GREAT MAZINKAISER
The Thunder Break looks nice at least, same as the other attacks, but still, kinda missing some attacks it used in the movie much like regular Mazinger Z, i was at least expecting the melee attacks like the kicks to make some appearance, or the combination attack between Tetsuya, Koji and Shiro that was in the movie, seriously, how the hell did they miss that!? I don't know, even with Great Mazinger's limited screentime, i felt like it had more attacks in the movie, and even in older games despite technically being the same Great Mazinger, i mean, they couldn't do something like Tetsuya going back to pick up the Great Booster at least? Not that Koji fares that much better, seeing as he loses the Photonic Beam, doesn't have that cool Iron Cutter attack it used in the movie at close range nor does it use it's Cyro-Laser or the missiles aside from one move, i don't know, it feels like the last movie and the older anime gave SRW lots of cool attacks or ideas for attacks and animations...and they didn't use them, not even the Daisharin Rocket Punch or Scrander Cutter where Koji takes off the Jet Scrander to slice an enemy in half? The attacks still look cool, but again, they could have done more to celebrate the fact that the original Mazinger duo had come back.
It's like we lost a lot of things along the way. Hell, Banpresto was no stranger to adding in attacks to units before (adding the Kaiser Nova to the OVA version of Mazinkaiser in SRW W) so what the hell happened? It's like when they brought back the original Mazinkaiser in X, it felt really ho hum compared to its Alpha or even its SRW W counterpart.
@@SMAXZO I kinda agree...though Kaiser Nova appeared in one of the Mazinkaiser mangas, but it's sadly an untranslated one, in at least one of the mangas with Kaiser Nova, i remember Dr.Hell coming up with a plan and machine so powerful that Koji sacrifices the Mazinkaiser and goes back to Mazinger Z. BTW, in that manga, Kaiser Nova was used against Garadoblas, another manga also had him use it against Ankoku Daishogun after he cut off one of Mazinkaiser's arms.
The voice fits in perfectly, reminds me of alpha 3 and the other old voices. Although, I'm pretty sure ONE slash from Mazinger Blade shouldn't be able to do much.
I was literally expecting them to team up and take on Infinity Hell army or some new enemy pulling the strings double Mazinger style but nope Great was weak not in fighting shape and Z was busted Hyped *killed*
At least the movie made that a cheaky plot point. This was just sad. More so when the game is littered with trinity references and stories of them being in universe memetic badass heros.
originally just the one called mazinger z then it was destoryed and great mazinger was created. that was back in the 1970s now they have rebooted the series to give us mazinkiser and great mazinkiser. thos are all the main line mazingers but there are some spin offs that nobody talks about like mazinkiser slk and mazinger zero but thats all of them other then this like armor version of mazinger but its just in name it was just a suit of armor not a mech
