Hey Ruben. Work out at the same gym as Jerry Martin. Told me recently that YOU fired him!?!? Good dude. Showed me his 2008 WS Ring for coaching 1st base the first 1/3 of the season.
Thinking the same thing. They could've recorded it yesterday for today. Jim is wearing the same t-shirt and undershirt. 😂 Either way, it makes for an interesting early morning truck run. 👍
We've heard people like listening on their way to work or at the gym, so we try to post as early as we can. Doesn't always happen though. And yes, sometimes we record the night before to post early in the AM!
10:45 Aidan Miller is untouchable plus if The Astros resign Bregman then where does Miller play? Houston Gets- Starlyn Caba, Brandon Marsh & Mick Abel Phillies Get- Kyle Tucker & Ryan Pressley
I also wouldn't trade Ranger. I don't think hes buit to be a starter, but he could be moved to the pen and hes immediately your most versatile reliever.
White Sox will trade Gerrit Crochet and Luis Robert in separate deals to maximize the talent return. I like Gerrit Crochet for Crawford, Caba, and Tait. That would be the max in prospect capital I would give up. I do think Gerrit Crochet will be special
Hey guys, Jays fan. Is there any deal to be made like Springer for Castellanos if Jays eat 5 million each of the next two years to get Springer down to 19 million?
Robert Jr has a swing and miss chase issue which is what they're trying to get away from, and, Crochet allegedly telling teams that he wouldn't pitch in October tells me he doesn't have a championship mentality. AND....I do not trade Bohm. 97 RBI in consecutive years, would have had 100+ and 50 doubles if not for the injury. Look at his before injury and after and it tells the story.
Adam Jude of the Seattle Times reported that the Mariners had inquired about Alec Bohm but had balked when the Phillies reportedly asked for George Kirby or Logan Gilbert. The Mariners are unlikely to trade three or more years of a young, cost-controlled starter for two years of Bohm with Bohm's career bWAR of 3.8. This year Seattle posted a team wRC+ of 104, including a league-leading wRC+ of 118 after August. The Mariners hope to improve their hitting but their offensive woes have been overstated.
You'd think the Royals would have preferred Alec Bohm over Jonathan India. Perhaps there could have been a three-way trade: Bohm to KC; Brady Singer to Milwaukee; and Devin Williams to Philly...
I’d argue he’s overvaluing him a lot, Bohm in his best season in the big leagues (this past year) was a 20% better than average hitter. Which as a third baseman that is not giving you much if any value with the glove isn’t that great. Plus who’s to say this past season is even the norm for Bohm, every season prior to 2024 he was less than 10% above average as a hitter. I think it’s extremely smart right now for the Phillies to sell high on him.
@PhillyThe13th yea he's gotta go. I'd sign Bregman or Adames if it helps us get a WS this year. If they can trade him & sign bregman plus trading for Crochet. I wish the east coast teams had more of a chance to get Sasaki
14:52 Thank you Todd for mentioning my trade proposal.
Been enjoying this podcast since I found it.
Thanks for watching! Happy to hear you're enjoying it!
I'd take one year of Kyle Tucker for Aidan Miller, provided you could negotiate an extension with him.

Great episode guys! Keep doing these unique episodes👍🏼
Great to hear! We thought it'd be something different and fun.
Jim, I was at that Dodgers/Phillies game in LA in 2017 when Hector Neris gave up the 3 straight bombs. Crazy way to lose.
Wow! You guys get going early!!

Aidan Miller has to be an untouchable!!!

Brewers say no to both, especially Suarez

Stott and Rojas for Dev Williams
In a while n now mode, Bohm and Stott both have more value to the the Phillies than as trade chips.

Bohm has the higher ceiling I believe however India has shown he could be the consistent Lead Off hitter that Kansas City needs.
NO TRADING MILLER!!!! Sorry Rube, by many accounts, Bohm has medium value for most teams..
Rub overvaluing Bohm a little. Bad defender with no thump doesn’t garner a TON of leverage

I would trade Rojas instead of Crawford. Put Crawford in CF now. Better than Rojas.
The Miami trade would be insane. But I still want Bohm out of town. I like Bohm but his attitude changed
His attitude rubs me the wrong way. I'm sick and tired of his child act.

Nick Castenollos needs to be traded
Hes not going anywhere. Too big of a salary plus they wont get anything of value.
