Difference between deathstep and minatory?

Minatory is usually darker, heavier, and more distorted. There is also no set bpm for minatory; it can be any bpm.

My sense, from what little I've heard, is that minatory is supposed to be more minimalist, and maybe less "groovy". Deathstep tends to have more of a sense of bombast or grandeur to it.
