With the RIVA ride plate, you're freeing up a LOT of hull drag (as the factory plate was designed to slow the FX down). This means that at WOT (wide open throttle) your SVHO is now going to be actively bouncing off of the rev. limiter. On glass, this can literally feel like the nose is bouncing, as the engine is scrubbing boost. Definitely have the ECU reflashed by RIVA. We suggest the Stock 8000 tune, as it removes the speed limiter and boost signal, but keeps the factory tune.
Yes.. 4 bolts, then I used RTV clear silicone on the ride plate on both sides where it touches the ski. The holes on the new plate line up with the old plates holes.
Update on the ride plate... I had to shim the ride plate in the rear. At high speads it was porpoising. I used stainless washers on the rear bolts to shim. 6 on each side at that fixed it.
South Florida 4 Life this is what I’m running into on my 2020 with the riva rideplate . I feel like it is porpoising too at 45+mph. Does it happen still with the trim up or did it fix your issue all the way across? I hate the bounce the plate gave mine.
@@Driven82 You have to get some stainless steel washers from the hardware store. Add them to the rear bolts only to shim the plate outward in the rear. This will push the nose of the ski downward at faster speeds. Do one washer at a time on both sides until it stops. Its a pain but it will fix the issue. I ended up using 6 washers on each side and it rides great now with no porpoising.
@@southflorida4life930 I'm looking into putting this setup on my EXR, so I would not need the cupholders (I'm aware they come with it) but the main information i need is if they have the threaded holes cause I have a different style mount on the EXR and am interested in buying these speakers because of their specifications compared to the others

Great video, you were able to capture how good the ski turns with the sponsons. great post. thanks
Totally Badass! Great feedback. Keep up the good work.
Very envious my ski still buried in garage have at least 2 months before we can ride up here near Boston 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻great videos
Ocean Guy even then it’s to cold. I’m on Long Island. Blows ass now
With your ecu done you will def need these. My natural aspirated ski needs sponsons now and just remapped.
Mabey my next upgrade. I have2020 GP Gen 2 grate and gen 2 plate machined by Jim. Major Ski Change!
Perfect conditions, in which waterway was it filmed?
John Prince Park and lake Osborne
Did you use any sealant on the screws?
I used blue loctight.
Nice and sweet
How did the ride pllate installation go? Did you just loosen bolt, plug and play?

@@Driven82 45 mph seems too slow to porpoise... mine didnt start to do it until 72mph
How good are these sponsons? I am running Stage 1….hitting 74.2 mph on low octane tune.
I love them. You can make turns as aggressively as you want with no slippage. Or, put your trim up and its a bit more forgiving.
Hey how do you like the speakers ? loud enough when going at speeds ? would you say its worth $400
I have them along with the sub. Sub is so so.
The speakers are great even at high speeds
Do those speakers have the 1/4" thread in the bottom that mount it to the cup holder portion?
The speakers come with the mounting hardware that fits perfectly into fx cup holder. I have another set brand new in the box if your interested.

The speakers themselves do not have threaded holes.
South Florida 4 Life How do they sound and how much you want for your extra set?
@@roxannedeason552 They sound great... its a brandnew set in the box. $350
