+Sam11176 It only gets real brutal on the Penalty stage, or if you're lucky enough to dodge that, the first stage of the Real Fight. So many enemies some of them flicker on this port, enemies with way too much health, or both. Luckily this game got a sequel; it's simpler and more fun than R-Type.
I wonder if this game has some relation to the Aleste series, most notably Aleste 2. In the end of Image Fight, it talks about an alien plant-like lifeform taking over the core of the base, and that same description is the same for the enemies you fight in Aleste 2.
Highly agree, these doesn't sound perfect for PC-Engine/Turbografx-16, these go perfect for Arcade port instead, but yeah, compare it with the NES/Famicom port, NES feels like my ears are going to bleed
@123doomdoom Of course but I don't know of many multiplatform games that were on both TG-16 & SNES. But of the ones I know the statement still stands. There was R-Type of which the PCE version is the better, Street Fighter II of which the PCE version is the better, Dracula X of which the PCE version is better and Ys III of which the PCE version is better. Any others you can think of?
Hardly, it comes down to rom size and who programmed it. MD shooters are just as good and have parallax scrolling which the PCE strugled with. Not to mention the awful PCE sound chip! It is not fair to compare CD or Super CD games either. They have a huge size advantage. Forgotten Worlds for instance. Now if the planned MCD version made it out, then you could compare. MCD would most likley win though, it had 3 times the memory. IF CAPCOM or SEGA put the effort in. I think CAPCOM were supposed to make it so who knows? It's a damn shame more MD shooters were not CD games instead.
The PCE was a potent sprite shifter, this is impressive 🙂
So much better than the NES version.
This game is tough as hell, but it's a really solid shooter

Ambrose Burnout , Image Fight 2 is much harder than this game
I found this game for $3 then bought a pc engine from japan and holy its so hard and fun i love it
Not for the faint hearted. Killer shooter though, especially considering it was released during the PC Engine's early days.
Just got this, had to looks awesome.
Looks like the Level 3 boss was easier than the NES counterpart as its lasers moved slower.

Aleste is Compile, this is Irem, so no.
@@Bloodreign1 I meant what I said in an out-of-game influence way
Dracula X on The PCE is not the same game as on the SNES. The PCE version of Dracula X is superior!!
Yeah man, Image fight is also my favourite Castlevania game.
@@DanielAyy totally.
I got stuck at penalty stage.
Honestly don't see what's so bad with the music and sounds. The NES sounds so "screechey" compared to the arcade and PC engine.

Cool graphics, but the music and sound effects...
I wish for Remake version by Granzella for R-Type Final 2.

everything is better on PC Engine ..unless it's also on Mega Drive, in which case, it's a coin toss, unless it's a shmup - then PCE wins it.

Real images from Pc engine, or Pc emulation?
Thx
@katsujinken10 Raiden and Neo Geo conversions, all better on the PCE.
Looks like a nice port, although the music is much inferior.
it's much much worse on the nes
Wait, there was an Amiga version of Image Fight?
image fight...
Music and sound is rather inferior to SNES. Graphics too.
This game was never on Snes lol.
