I’m glad your pockets are deep enough to afford all the expensive equipment to make everything so much easier for you guys. That ported saw cuts well. I’m anxious to see your new splitter in action Heath and I enjoy following both of you and wish you well from Washington state. 😊
@@Northwestlogger thanks! The mini x is my buddies. Believe me it hasn’t always been this way, we just keep grinding and re investing. We didn’t have much growing up but my mom and dad definitely taught us work ethic, then the ambition to do better and catching a break here and there. We’ve definitely been blessed and are grateful! Appreciate the comments.
@@WilleysFirewood thanks Russ, she does have a nicer voice than me. But it seems she makes fun of me from time to time. Can’t wait to get splitting on this ash! May break out the axe and maul as well!
Heaths allowed to talk all he wants,it's you guys show. Good work with your commentary Racheal.Very good Video. Love that winter scenery. Cheers from HB NZ
Great video! Thanks for sharing you all processing that wood so efficiently. Looking forward to seeing what the new splitter/surprise is! Way to do a RUclips cliffhanger!
Rachel, I don't mind when Heath is running his mouth..... but you sure did a fine job and it is nice to see him getting to work! Nice process for sure!
hi there great team work sawing .well i would have to guess you are getting another splitter , will you be able to feed it right from the trailer with some kind of plank , good load of wood . best to all john
OMG Rachel, you are hysterical! Heath not miked! Dream! Lol! Thats what Heath needs right there and you to learn how to run that bad boy! It's nice to have the reach when you are buckin logs but if you had an 18" bar the saw won't bog and it will cut right through those logs like butter but I use full chisel tooth. Great video!
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors Funny you mention that. Every time I go to pull the trigger on a new 7310, I watch that 7900 you have just eat and I reconsider and start looking for a 7900 or 7910. I know parts are getting scarce, but my goodness that is one helluva saw. Would love to see you do a comparison of both saws once you get the 7310 done.
An operator in the machine and a saw man is the ticket! But if you're going to load it into the dump trailer, why not just cut them to fall into the trailer? I've done that a couple of times and boy doe it put the wood in quick,
Nice system for cutting ! I guess we all do things differently in regards to you stacking the wood in the trailer ! Waist of time and BODY in my way of thinking !😊
I had a 200 hitachi. We gad green birch. My son and his buddy stood up rounds as i split them with a single new tooth on the bucket. Fastest splitter over anything on youtube!!
It is a night and day difference when you have an excavator with a skilled operator feeding you logs while you are sawing the logs into 16” rounds, it’s so much faster and easier than bucking the logs by yourself.
Heath that’s what you call production. I use my grapple on my B2650 Kubota and cut. Backhoe or loader, lift the logs to waist height and save your back
Good morning! Really nice load of wood on that trailer. Since you had the excavator and operator there would it have been quicker to hold the poles over the trailer and have Heath cut the blocks directly onto the deck? Thanks for sharing your experience.
THANK YOU for the YT videos, i enjoy watching. As I am 78+ years old/retired/less-abled/bedridden/wheelchaired paraplegic/with PLS-ALS medical conditions and MUTE, I can only communicate by AAC device, text or email only.
Somebody I know had to go up to Roswell in Buffalo to have her cancer checkup the other day in the lake effect storm that came through. Think it was maybe 22. On the way back south she was rear ended. The woman that hit her was wearing a t shirt, shorts, and flip flops. There already quite a bit of snow and there was at least 8 inches that came down that afternoon. What the hell are you doing in flip flops. Its bad enough when I see people in shorts what the hell are you doing in flip flops on a day they were talking up to 2 feet of snowfall lol
I hate to say this but I think with the excavator you could have stood in the dump trailer and cut your rounds right into the trailer if you position correctly the trailer and excavator. Maybe not you may have looked at that possibility anyway it's much better with the excavator just a lot nicer standing up to cut wood. Glad I got a new excavator E-26 bobcat with the thumb after I sold the firewood business. I have helped some friends with fire wood like you guys was doing and I got to sit on my butt the whole time they was cutting LOL stay safe
Rachel it’s 30 below ⬇️ here this morning and polar bear 🐻❄️ are out feeding on seal 🦭 on patch ice 🧊 this morning. See the beautiful buck across the road in the field from you Rachel this morning. Look 👀 to be around 478 yds shot Rachel 😊
He should put wire ties on the end of the chainsaw handle and then cut to 16” so he doesn’t have to hold the 16” bar anymore , I put 3 big wire ties on the hands put some take at the base of them and tape then in a few spots so the stay ridged and u have a marker every time
Heath and Rachel, looking like 👍 things are gonna get a lot better soon for the wood 🪵 business you guys have time to rock and roll with getting inventory up 😮😊❤
Good logger sharpen his chain in less them 10 min . Should get a logger chainsaw 3120xp with a 32” bar . One ☝️ shot of gas ⛽️ should cut 6”to8” in one shot of gas ⛽️ with it’s sharpen right with a square file. 😊
I love it! We have some videos on the channel about the process and will be doing more soon. It was done by Dyno Joe Mods, check out his channel tell him HWM sent ya. His website is worksaws.com

Yes it does! Dyno Joe says the Echo will be similar once ported!
Lol you cut more wood than I thought you would before you hit the bucket! I was shocked that you lasted that long Good job! Great video!
Thanks, just bummed I did it with the new saw and chain. I was hoping to run it more.

We considered that but the trailer gets slippery with snow on it and didn’t want to slip with the saw.
Thats funny. I just typed sane thing.
Doesn't take long to get cold behind the camera eh Rachel. Looking forward to seeing the new family member.
Thanks Kenny. This will be a busy weekend for sure! Stay tuned!

Nice system for cutting !
I guess we all do things differently in regards to you stacking the wood in the trailer ! Waist of time and BODY in my way of thinking !😊
We wanted to fit as much as we could in that load. I don’t usually stack it.
I had a 200 hitachi. We gad green birch. My son and his buddy stood up rounds as i split them with a single new tooth on the bucket. Fastest splitter over anything on youtube!!
Oh yeah the things you can do with a good machine and operator are amazing.
Have u had a rugged made spliter on the channel
We have not. I’d like to test one out though.
It is a night and day difference when you have an excavator with a skilled operator feeding you logs while you are sawing the logs into 16” rounds, it’s so much faster and easier than bucking the logs by yourself.
Yes it is!!
I use to cut right into the back of my pickup. Really saves the back.
We considered that but the snow makes the trailer slippery quick.

We’ve done it both ways, it gets cumbersome when done in the trailer and I can’t move them around for him.
Thanks, we considered that but the trailer gets slippery with snow from the logs and didn’t want to slip.

@ I don’t wear flip flops in the summer!
I always stand in the trailer and cut the wood saves a step and much cleaner
We thought about that but the snow makes the deck slippery quick.

We considered that but the snow on the logs makes the trailer slippery quick. Excavators are so handy and a lot easier on the body!
I'm curious why you wouldn't cut the rounds right into the trailer, instead of on the ground to be picked up and loaded into the trailer?
The snow made the deck slippery quick. We considered it.
Hey Rachel and Heath , very nice load of rounds . Can’t wait to see what yall have coming to the wood yard . 👍🏻🇺🇸🪵🔥
Thanks Del, it will be fun!
Getting a new diesel sho?
That’s a powerful compact splitter and it can take the Michigan cold!

Yes they are Todd. So many new things coming and looks like I found a great wood supplier!
Rachel is good looking
Ya'll need an excavator and Rachel can then sit in the heated cab and all will be well.
I like the way you think!
Grate video I wish we had one of those track hoes when I was a kid.
I wish I had one now! They are so useful!
Easy cutting but a excavator will flat out work you a lot harder trying to keep up. Love your videos.
Oh yeah he was trying to wear me down lol.
