Honestly bro you dont know how grateful i am for this video, im 3 mins into your video, filling my binder and your removing my anxiety ever step of the way haha :D Most informative video ive found after so many videos, ive proudly settled with yours!!
I'm glad :) I went through so many mistakes when I first started the hobby and figured there would be others out there needing the help, it just takes the guesswork out.
Finally a video in my recommended that’s useful I could’ve used a video like this a few years back when the scalping was rampant and I was trying to make master sets I don’t know how long you’ve been around
I started collecting Pokemon in October last year so I'm very new to the hobby but I wish I started far earlier than that so I'm playing a lot of catch up right now to grab all the little things that catch my eye but my main focus atm to to master set everything from SV onwards and help others to it as well.
Great video, reset my master set based on this. There are some cards I could add as mentioned but this is the best guide for the base master set I’ve found. Many thanks!
Oh hey! Glad to be of help and yes certainly there is going to be SO MUCH MORE TO ADD - I'm waiting another 2 years before I make a big updated video and will need a bigger binder than the usual 480 pocket to fit them all.
Randomly come across one of your vids I’m now in the process of going through all the S&V following your guides. Two questions where did you get the stickers of the set names? You mentioned build and battle deck Quaquaval I can’t find that card I’ve found different image one. Would you be so kind to hook me up with info so I so I can get the correct search up as I’m bit confused on this lol. Cheers
Heya! Stickers were a custom print from a guy here in AU so if you're a local I can hook you up with that easy. So the build and battle decks usually come packed with 1 of 4 different types of decks with 1 of 4 different stamped promos so it's luck to get the decks you need inside that have a non holo printed version of the star rare cards inside for example the quaquaval comes in holo and reverse holo 'normally' but the BnB decks have the non holo's you're looking for. For more info on SV base specifically this site is a good guide - bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Scarlet_%26_Violet_Build_%26_Battle_Box_(TCG)
@@CardboardCayin Thank you for fast reply. I would really appreciate that as it’s becoming nightmare with the folders trying to locate the one I want. I understand now the cards within the decks I would never of known that I was going to sell all them extras as I thought I have no use for them as I only bought the decks for promos. I’m currently watching your scarlet & Violet master set guide and just seen there’s 4 Lechonk cards. You said it right this collecting isn’t for people with OCD lol. I really appreciate your time and help thank you.
I personally keep the regular ex cards and promo variants completely separate from the common, uncommons, rares and reverses to maintain the symmetry. For base S&V there was 12 exs so i put them on the first page, for PE and OF i put the directly after the last trainer card and before the special cards
So I seen that you had like 4 cards of the same just slightly different does the etb players guid tell you how many cards you should of the same card? Also does the player guide help you complete the full master set that you achieved?
Sadly the ETB booklet doesn't show you the following - Promo variants (Gamestop / EB Games / Best Buy / EU) - Non holo exclusives from the build and battle decks - Future variant prints that show up in product (EG - EX boxes / tins) - Play! Prize Pack variants which Series 3, 4 and soon to be 5 has reprints of So yeah it's a rough game but I'd say it's probably going to be closer to a full year into the next generation where we can get a 'complete' master set.
Yeah he's amazing. Helped me learn how to set books when I first started the hobby back in October last year. Invaluable knowledge that I've carried with me and took the leap to start this channel.
Welcome! :) I'll steer you in the right direction hopefully. Most of my videos are there to help you decide what to buy / not to buy and not filled with profit margins etc. So if you ever have a question I'll try help with my limited but slowly growing knowledge.
Won't be for a while with how TCPi loves to keep running prints / variations. There's a lot that's for sure especially with series 4 prize packs being released
@@CardboardCayin the UK exclusive? Yeah I saw that but all I can find is eBay for like $100-200. And eBay is so sketch to begin with idk how to get them.
working through mine and think prize pack, Mcdonalds, trick or trade all being there own sets helping keep everything else in the single 480 card binder. also very annoying when you have build say the lechonk section and notice theres a new 154 Cosmos holo one that forces everything to be shufled one from this video making the supporter and stadium area look messy.
Further down the line once everything is printed I'll be redoing my binders to include them all. Hopefully by then they make binders with a few more pages for the extra 20 or so cards per book
@@CardboardCayin fall 2023 charizard lunch box and the oddly released Triple Whammy Tins damn cosmos holos and the 4 line holos of Arboliva, Armarouge, Dondozo and Pawmot to mess everything up even more. lots of shuffling of cards to be done getting close to blowing out the 480 binder skipping the play/mcdonalds/tricks
Also dont know why its called a master set when it's literally just 1 of everything! Should just be called a complete set. Master set to me means a playset so that you can play any form of any deck
I guess that's the yu-gi-oh or competitive mindset. Master Setting for a collector is a bit different. I'll answer your other comment here also. When it comes to variants I include everything unless it's a black star promo so something that is stamped but still numbered as in set is considered part of the master set for me (also looks nicer in the binder when you have like 5 of one different card). Black star promos for me also go into a completely separate binder in its own master set unless the set is special like 151. Respect on the regular ex cards being separate for your binder layout - It all comes down to personal aesthetic at the end of the day. Just keep in mind in about 2 or 3 years we're going to have so many different variants you'll need a bigger binder for these larger sets. Series Prize Pack 3 for example adds like....40 extra cards as variants to base SV ._. - I've started playing the actual game to make collecting those a lot more easier on the pocket....sort of...
