- Departed San Francisco on 16 Sept and returned on 1 October.
3 other families joined us. We were all members of First Southern Baptist Church of Pearl Harbor and served in the military in Hawaii in the 90s. This was the first time we had all been together in more than 25 years.
We will post the video from our Tour of San Francisco once we have finished editing.
Port stops were Maui, Oahu, Kauai and Kona on the Big Island (Tender port).
Please feel free to comment with questions. If you want to cruise to Hawaii, we are going again in 2026 from 10-24 January from Long Beach California. I can book your cruise and give you On Board Credit when you mention this video.
Exciting cruise! And a great departure port city!
Yes! and Yes!
Hi Ed and G always good to see you both ❤ love the vlog. Thank you for sharing your cruise with us it bought back so many memories. Love the Kona coffee ☕ 😋. Hope to see you both soon.
@@bdrennon3663 Great to hear from you again and thank you!!! Please don’t forget to let me book your next cruise. I’ll give you onboard credit:)
Go big blue!!! Big Kentucky boy here! 🥰🥰
@@chrisdonnelly7068 We’re from Corbin/Barbourville area. You?
Hi Ed, we were in the aft balcony deck 5 a little to your right. I remember seeing you and your wife around the ship. At 2:58 in your video I am pointing my phone at you while I record video. I was cold so I have a blue towel around my shoulders. At 3:40 my wife is wearing the red hoody taking photos of the GG bridge we just passed under. You are in my video at about 3 minutes and again at 4 minutes when you laid down on the glass over the restaurant. I also make videos, kind of like yours, but our internet is really slow so I made a lot of shorter videos that still take a long time to upload because our internet is slow. I have uploaded a few but still have a lot more I will upload over the coming weeks. I think we were talking with you up front of the ship in the early morning as we were approaching San Fransisco on debarkation day. My channel is just a hobby and not monetized. I saw our cardboard viking ship in your video. It capsized....LOL. Kevin and Janet Powell.
@@powellkwd40 oh, wow! Great to hear from you!! I will go back and watch to see you and will go to your channel and subscribe! We aren’t monetized either. I enjoy making video but the editing is much harder work than some realize. lol. I am a travel agent and would love to help you guys with your future cruises.
@@edandgtravels We will keep you in mind for finding cruises. Thanks.
Enjoyed the video & I subscribed!
@@paulaworkman2578 Thank you! 😊
Very nice! You are in the room we’ve got booked to go on soon! How was the room? Love the veteran-owned aspect of your channel. We have veterans in our family and I’m former law enforcement myself. 🙂
@@briannelson6807 awesome! Our youngest son is a police officer in Louisville Kentucky:). The room was great! We loved having the Aft balcony. The ship as a whole needs some attention but not as bad as some I’ve seen. :)
Thank you for watching and commenting. If we can assist you with your cruises in the future we will gladly give additional On Board Credit with the other offers you get through the cruise line :). Just let us know :)
@@briannelson6807 we went back and watched your video. It was awesome. You’ve got some great footage.
If you wouldn't mind sharing the information for the Luau you attended I would appreciate it. We are going and have been looking for one.
@@angelanemecek7792 paradise cove luau. But if you are retired you can get cheaper tickets through MWR on any post in Hawaii

hi, nice video. we are getting ready to do the 15 day cruise out of Long Beach to Hawaii next month, any recommendations? tips? advice? things you wish you would have know? thanks
@@lewis48473 Thank you for watching and for your question. yes! We will make a list. Stand by :)
@@lewis48473 1. Oahu - Get rental from airport. Will need shuttle to and from. Or use Turo rental. Make list sites you want to see. Prioritize them. You likely won’t have enough time to see all of them. A Luau will take a long time 4-5 hours if you go to Paradise Cove. Military rate is much cheaper there than buying direct from them. Go through military channels to get tickets. ABC stores for souvenirs. Also souvenirs at military bases if prior military.
2. Kauai - Uber to get rental. Waimea Canyon is a must. Also must stop at Jo Jo’s for shave ice! Kauai Coffee factory if you love coffee.
3. Maui - Uber to get rental. Road to Hana. Watch your time to make sure you can get back in time.
4. Kona - Airport is 20 minutes away so plan accordingly for shuttle to get rental. We did the coffee museum with lava tube. Then went snorkeling. Our time was short there.
Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have specific questions.
Could you share car rental in Oahu or any other port or how you got around. We have been to Hawaii about 15 years ago and car rentals were at every port and so easy to rent and explore on our own. Is this still the case?
@@lindashifflett4168 absolutely! We had car rentals for each stop? Would you like me to book those for you? If so, I’ll give you my phone number so we can get you set up
Hi how reliable was the wifi especially on sea days?
@@JK-nq1dl I don’t remember having any outages or problems with it. Worked good as far as I can remember:) Thank you for watching. If you book a Hawaii cruise, contact me. We can transfer your booking to our agency and give you $100 in OBC.
