FUN FACT: Makguksu is famous for being versatile and you eat it however you want. They will give you guchujang (chilli sauce), vinegar, mustard and a kettle of cold broth. Add however much as you like of all the items. Generally, a little mustard and vinegar, a big dollop of chilli sauce and anything goes for the broth. Some people like to cover the noodles and eat it 'MUL' style.
from my research i’ve found 31 vegan spots so far & 13 cafe/sweet options that are vegan. i didn’t think i’d find that much honestly but i was pleasantly surprised
Hey Thank you so much for these discoveries. My friend and I are planning to visit Seoul but we were worried about our food as we are vegetarians. So thank you. The only other thing we are curious about is if these restaurants provide you spoons and forks if you don't know how to use a chopstick ☺

Hi, i just discover your channel and im wondering are you are the strict vegan type or are you also consume egg, cow milks and fine with animal based oil?
Alex Lee Yes Im sure 👍🏼 It’s very very rare, especially in Korea, but the broth is definitely vegan. The whole place is vegetarian and the owner and staff are familiar with what veganism is.

first! ( well comment anyway )
When you say its vegan, does that mean all the things are pure vegan? like no fish sauce or ox bone broth etc
I dream about the Maru Jayeonsik chicken too. Was not a fan of the odeng though.
I make my own vegan Sushi
I’m gonna spend a million won 😂😂.
Hi, i just discover your channel and im wondering are you are the strict vegan type or are you also consume egg, cow milks and fine with animal based oil?
Hi there! I'm vegan and do not eat any animal products at all :)
Your boyfriend looks like tadej pogacar
So not even fish sauce? As I know kimchi has fish sauce or fermented shrimp paste?
If you're vegan ?? But you were eating chicken??
No shit it’s vegan ‘chicken’. Made from soy.
Are you sure the makguksu broth is vegan. I've never seen vegan broth served at a noodle place in my life.
Alex Lee Yes Im sure 👍🏼 It’s very very rare, especially in Korea, but the broth is definitely vegan. The whole place is vegetarian and the owner and staff are familiar with what veganism is.
But please also note that the other locations for chuncheon makguksu are not vegetarian or vegan friendly!
omg the white boyfriend was so predictable
