Dude... I have been looking for this movie ever since I was a kid in the late 80's. I saw this on HBO and there was that one song in there that had been stuck in my head for nearly 30 years. And for putting this on here... Thank you.
So happy this is uploaded to YT. I had the VHS copy I used to watch over and over, finally wore out the tape. Cheesy acting, awesome cars, good soundtrack, ahhhh. The 80s - your simplicity and over exaggeration are sorely missed.
I like how the Police cruiser shows up at the end ready for road battle with the polished wheels but as soon as they break before running off cliff the car is back to black steelies!
Shit I worked on that show doing Visual Effects! I remember on a green screen shoot I had a tennis ball on a C-Stand and Shannen Doherty refused to speak to a yellow tennis ball. Took an hour to convince her to do it. Not sure if it's the same show your talking about but it was fun to work on. It was a Spelling Television production.
John shepherd (Beck Baxter) sure talked more in this than he did as Tommy in "Friday the 13th PT 5: A new beginning" lol. Dean Stockwell and Billy Drago are among some of my favourite actors. Never saw this movie before, but I really liked it. Thanks.

Need more proof, in a quick rear view shot of the car it no longer has its Euro specification rear fog light, and it has ugly black bumper pads mounted in the license plate surround cut out.

Why don’t they think about remaking classics like this one and the cannonball series it is so hard to find them on Netflix and they really should come out with a blue ray collection of 80’s racing movies like this one, the cannonball series and some others the only thing that would have been good is seeing more fast cars instead of 2 maybe have 2 different shipments and 2 decoys that would have made for a cool race
+fargeeks Ford won LeMans 4times in a row! 66 GT40Mkll,67 GT40MklV,68n69 GT40 w/Gurney Westlake heads. Same chassis# both years. Not bad. Road in one once real thrill.
We really need this out on blue ray and with a collection of other great 80’s racing movies they should also make a TV series or a new movie series based off of this plot line it also shows how brave cops are when they have to get the main target and the drugs off the streets I can’t figure out what the yellow car is the white one is a porche but the other one looks like a lambo or a Ferrari some of the movies today need to look at classics like this and take some pages to make the action and the plot cooler
And for some reason it turned up at the end with a supercharger… but it’s all the same thing unless you know anything about cars but the writers, cast, crew and the intended audience for this obviously didn’t. 😂
