- I’m so in love with this song. It probably doesn’t make sense to use a personification but I’m doing it anyways.
Also I’m not tryna say anything with this video, it’s just made to look nice. Cue people calling me both pro and anti communist-

Hello из России
One question Why dogs?
ART IS NOT EASY i like dogs
Roses are red
Violets are blue
In mother Russia
Tetris plays you
This just returned 89% of my brain cells. GENOUS!!! 😂
In Soviet Russia, violets are also red, and belong to the state.
It's just perfect for that that was shown in the video.

I looked at the comments. Why is nobody talking about the amazing expressions?! It's so expressive I can feel his feelings! I love the design. Also the detail that the Nazi dog has rage is just magnificent! The details are amazing
Yeah, I forgot to point that out too, it's amazing.
You mean Dogler ?
Nah, think nazi has rabies. In movies rabies is potrayed as foaming out of the mouth :T
So, the dog that portrays Germany is infected with rabies, causing him to become Nazi germany?
Creative.
It looks like the Nazi dog had rabies
"Can...I...have...a...long...one...please?" That sounds like he needs a long break from arranging the blocks.
I listened to this before I watched it, and I heard that an was like "you and me both, man" as if he was asking for a break.

Speaking as someone who's put a frankly absurd amount time into researching the rise and fall of the USSR, this was... actually a pretty damn solid gist of how it went. GG
You should watch the original, it is also quite good more cinematographic than animated but still very good video
The original is better

I love how this turns into a joke at the end 😂
I like how serious this is but the blocks are still tetris blocks through out the video and actually puts a more better visual than if they were actual blocks...

@@zoepalosi5628 Hello Belgium, thank you to have given us the secret formula of French fries, haha!
To create subtitles for a video, you have to click on the option "Subtitles" of the video, and "Add subtitles" if it is allowed. Then you'll have a menu where you have to choose which language you want to transcribe/translate to. Finally, the work to do will appear and it's fairly easy to understand thereon.
I hope my explanation is clear enough!... x)
@@laulo821 Thank you for the explanation!
@@laulo821 Um I know this is probably gonna sound stupid but where do you push to see 'subtitles'? I tried to search Google but it says only the creator of the video can do that
@@zoepalosi5628 You have to click on the setting gear icon, at the bottom right of the video's player (it is close to "fullscreen mode"). A little menu should open, and the subtitles option is under "video speed" and above "quality". This applies to computer, I don't know how it works on phone btw

I love the continuity with the background dogs, though I can't identify all of them.
So at 2:22, we have from left to right:
-Not in the toyhouse folder, but we see at 3:11, that this is Kazakhstan
-Unknown, I'll call her Dog 1
-Russia
-Ukraine
-Unknown, I'll call him Dog 2
Dog 1 and Ukraine reappear at 2:35 and seem to be portrayed as Russias children. This impression is later strengthened at 3:57 where they are framed pictures of them in Russias house.
At 2:49 we have another line of dogs, from left to right:
-Some random dog that won't reappear and that I can't identify
-Dog 1
-Kazakhstan
-Russia
-Ukraine
-Another random dog that won't reappear and that I can't identify
-Dog 2
At 5:03, Russia is on the most right, and not in the center as usually. There we have from left to right
-Dog 2
-Kazakhstan
-Dog 1
-Ukraine
-Russia
What I found intriguing, is that Dog 2 is always on the left of Russia and Ukraine is always (except for 5:03) on the right of Russia. This even holds true for the pictures in Russias home. I don't know the meaning behind this though.
For the identities of Dog 1 and 2:
I'm really terrible at telling apart dog breeds, so if any of you can get that right, reply please.
I think that Dog 1 is potentially Belarus, as she was portrayed as very close to Ukraine and Russia, and these countries are at least geographically very close together.
Dog 2 kinda looks like a Dachshund, usually used as a symbol for Germany. Germany is a German Shepherd though, so that's a no. What could be possible, is that he is East Germany, but he already exists at 2:22, which is before WW2.
At 3:21, I love the detail that Nazi Germany has Rabies. On his right is Japan, and the dog on his left is not in the toystore, but is most probably Italy.
So I guess what I'm saying is I really like it, and it must be pretty good if one can get so invested into this. Keep it up! :)
Edit: She's been added to the Toyhouse, so yes, Dog 1 is indeed Belarus
I forgot Italy existed
@the floofster Yeah
Japan being a Shiba Inu (aka cheems and doge), is pure gold. Though, I can't ID what breed Italy is supposed to be. Though, part of me wants to say that the USA is a mutt (IE a mix of multiple dog breeds) which would be fitting as the US is a melting pot of different cultures and ethnicities. Though, I could be wrong.
@@daltonloges99 He's a Greyhound.
The three dogs (Dog 2 and the two unknown dogs that appear once) could be the Baltic countries if height is based upon landmass. Edit: Based upon the appearance of that frame at 2:49, and that this takes place just before Lenin's death in 1924, I think that the three are Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. They could also be the Transcaucasian SSR, the Bukharan SSR, and the Khorezm SSR. They could also be the Transcaucasian SSR, the Turkmen SSR, and the Uzbek SSR.
For the first theory, the Ukrainian SSR and Byelorussian SSR were two of the four making up the RSFSR at the time, alongside the Russian SFSR. The other one was the Transcaucasian SSR, which was made up of the three present-day countries of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan were also occupied by the Red Army during its founding years as well.
For the second theory, the first applies, but in this one, the Transcaucasian SSR is one of them, not three. Given the fact we see Dog 2 before the other dogs we don't see again, Dog 2 could be the Transcaucasian SSR. The other two could be Bukharan SSR and Khorezm SSR due to the fact that we see them a bit before Lenin's death in early 1924, the year in which they joined, and the fact that they are never seen again in the video because Bukharan and Khorezm are split up into the Uzbek SSR and Turkmen SSR in 1924.
For the third theory, the first and second partially apply. Uzbek SSR is created in 1924 and Turkmen SSR is created in 1929, but before then, it was an Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, and as stated earlier, territory was ceded to them in 1924.
These are just my opinion, so take them with a grain of salt.
Hope we get some confirmation on this in the future!
EDIT: After seeing a lot of dog breeds from the regions that I was thinking of, I could not find one that looked like any of the silhouettes.

As someone who has done a significant amount of research about Russian history for a high-school student I can say with confidence that I love both this song and the animation.
@@agentcherie6462 I almost completely forgot this comment existed, but hey! Came back to watch the animation again and saw you there.
TLDR, most of what I know is self taught from seeking out information, rather than what I was taught in school because my education didn't cover much on Russia.
To answer your question in more detail, there isn't a lot of things that I could really delve into, as most of what I know is admittedly rather surface level. However, I do still have an interest in Russian history to this day, and like to think I at least have a better grasp of it than most of my direct peers. During school (I've since graduated) we learned next to nothing about, well, most of the rest of the world really. There's the basics like Columbus, the Roman Empire, the British Empire, the Great Wars. Largely big global historical cornerstones (To us, at least). Though even then it was all still rather basic.
When it came to Russian history specifically, it largely boiled down to Russia was in World War 2 and were communist (My teachers didn't even speak about Russia during the First World War, or what happened directly after that.) It often led to a simplified explanation of what the USSR was, which left most thinking it was all *just* Russia. Failing to mention that it was made up of several countries, and many many other details that didn't seem important to the message of "Communism Bad." Further failing to actually teach us what communism even is, let alone any other political ideology like fascism or socialism for example. Point being, at my school at least, they focused more on telling us "Communism is bad" than really anything else about Russia as a nation or it's people.
Most of what I actually know was largely in spite of my school, pursuing stories that caught my attention when I had time. Largely from whatever first or second hand accounts I could find, if I could find them. Nothing was censored or anything like that, there just wasn't a lot that I could stumble across and I never really had time to look for more. Sadly I cant say I know more than trivia and scattered facts about this and that, and can actually distinguish between the USSR, Russa, and beyond. Sadly that's significantly more than what many of my peers know. (There have been many, many jokes at my expense. All in good fun though.)
What sparked my interest is my mother. She's studied world religions for years, and she befriended quite a few members of the Russian Orthodox faith in her studies, many of whom are immigrants from Russia, and of course I've met many of them. They were always kind, and never quite fit how my public education and media seemed to try and paint them, so naturally I wanted to learn more about them, and the nation they came from.
I know enough to be able to actually follow along with the song in the excellent animation ChefGatsby has created, and understand the names, the terminology and even the clothing. It just makes my nerdy brain happy as I said. Though I'm probably not quite the historian my highschool self wished I was.
Your character is absoulute unique! Found this on my reccomend and the animatic is very intriguing and cool.
Furry slavic’s
I like your entire stock.
It went from " I am the man who arranges the blocks! " to " I AM THE MAN WHO ARRANGES THE BLOCKS. "
Thank you.)
This is my first time watch CountryDog
Pretty hard to understand the country, but ill figure it out soon. Amazing work! I really like it. The whole 60 years of Soviet explained under a song is pretty common but, damn, the characters really attract me.
Edit: Some scene where the character being himself, happy and not really serious there also made me feel attracted to your video more, and the background also very interesting. If i can rated it, ill give 10 stars.
"Can I have a long one pleaaase?"
This sounds weirdly sexual.
what are you a feminist?
The 5 dollar footlong
It's furry video. How else it's suppose to sound?
You ruined it for me >:(
@@fearofthedead this isn’t the original music video-
Damn... actually playing tetris while this playing it's by far the most stressing thing I've done in my entire life, but also, the most epic one.
I like how it slowly gets faster and more intense like how Tetris does when you play it
Its in the melody of tetris, did you notice? I honestly think its cool🤗
imthebrush72 things I just noticed that, I just thought it was the thing was(if you get what I mean by that)! It is really cool!
3:29 Why is no one noticing that America is fat in the background and is acting like a confused solider-
He appears to smile when he sees the Nazidog dead but then looks a little scared when the Russian looks to him next.

me : this is Country furries
Russian Military : lets recruit this guy
This is giving me flashbacks to Nekotalia, a sort of au from an anime called Hetalia, where the countries are cats (normally they are personified countries)
I'm a dog person more than acta person so yeah I'm probably a little biased. Still really nice animatic, really cute 👍
It’s kinda funny how Hetalia got cats and Country humans got dogs 😂
A crossover of Hetalia and CountryHumans is needed greatly-
Inverted 8 Yess!
Omg I love Hetalia
Hhhhh. Every time. I can’t escape the fandom
This is gonna get huge! Amazing work, love it! Attention to detail was great
Ive watched this so many times. Something about it is so satisfying and neat, it makes me so happy.
Thanks for this video
That was VERY intense. Someone give that guy some therapy and a chill pill.
the fact that tetris was made during the cold war made the lore even more crazier 💀
Coincidentally, that melody he was singing to was made by a Russian piano player, and it was used for Tetris (idrk how to spell it) so it was good idea to use the Tetris game!
Tetris itself was originally created in Russia. It was especially impressive since it was initially made and distributed during the 80’s when there was a huge debacle involving the appropriation of video games rights
korobeinki
That was the whole point of the video bruh
@@epicsakura101 yes! by the way, if I remember correctly, the game was created by Alexey Pajitnov, which is funny, the game appeared as a kind of entertainment and a break from ordinary computing tasks
So beautiful.
Es ist so süß.
Je l'adore.

Why do you speak 4 languages?
@@Tank175 For Fun)))
This is the best song I’ve heard so far. I love the animation so much!❤ I support your work 😊🎉
lol I watched this video on repeat 5 times 😂
привет, i personally love how u draw them and u actually colored it unlike others- damn.
who knew this video could get me obsessed with this song too, ад.
I love this. The drawing are great. The dogs are so expressive it make everything's so good.
Plus the ending where we can see that the birthplace of one of the great communist country goes back to capitalism.
A masterpiece!
2 years later i still watch this everyday, your animations always amazed me !

I have watched this like eight times now and I CANNOT EXPRESS WITH WORDS how much I love this. This brings up so many emotions that I cannot recognize. THANK YOU for making this 😳

I'm reviewing it again and again and you did a great job creating this masterpiece! I applaud standing!
Thank you very much for such efforts, now this song is stuck in my head💘
Song: CaN I hAvE a LoNg OnE pLeAsE
My degenerate brain: oh I can give you more than just a long one
I bother to ask. What you mean by this and I mean what you want to do with him?
I feel like this has so many hidden meanings. I've watching and listened to this now 8 times and I can't get over how sad it all sounds.
Sky : Drops Blocks
The People In Kazakhstan : Am I a joke to you?
The people in Kazakhstan make bloks anb then drop them by planes.
This video is literally the definition of well that escalated quickly... 1-100 back to 1 then back to 100 XD great video tho!
Bro I’m loving this song and the animation is as clean as Mr.Cleans head, but what kind of dog is that because it looks super fluffy and huggable.
Long live Lenin",*later*long live Stalin", Lenin*Am I joke to you?
Well.... He is dead. How they can wish him long life?
@@RedWanderer26 XD so true tho!
I mean, in the original it was kind of the point, to show how Stalin was making a personality cult around himself

I love the progression of insanity in the person's voice. The animation is also AMAZING and portrays that progressive insanity very well
It’s kinda funny that as the music goes the faster the song goes like how Tetris goes after every line is made
Historical fact: Tetris actually _was_ developed during Soviet rule in Russia, releasing in 1984.
I will never look at Tetris the same way ever again
Just absolutely lovely
(I'm actually thinking about sending this link to a friend who kinda obsesses over the USSR(and no he isn't communist))
The fact USSR dance with the USA gives me the ship dynamics: enemies to lovers
