I really love that they added the Thunder choreo from BOCA for Yoohyeon's part as just a little nod. I know Handong's part next with the arms really distracts from that but I appreciate the little detial.
This choreo was such a masterpiece, so intricate and already one of my all time favorite DC dances. I really love how strongly they kept with the army concept with all the lines, marching, arm drumming, and Dami's unique chorus part. Handong's clock hands are also my favorite move in this choreo it's so cool
Not only do I love the callback to Boca (thunder motion), I love the way Dami goes over to "activate" the other group. Notice how they don't do anything until Dami takes her shot. It reminds me of being told to fire/action "on my mark." General Dami.
Dreamcatcher diversity an versatility as a group continues to elevate with the sound engineering and vocal styling with their individual presence and presentation in every single comeback
One of my favorite details is on Yoohyeons part when she says thunder, the other girls are literally doing a bit of the choreo from Boca when Yoohyeon does the “drop thunder” part.
The red military suits are the death of me. It took me two listens for Dami’s rap to hit me. Handong..still coming for me. Wreaking my biases and my bias wreckers. I can’t take Handong and Siyeon in the sleeveless shirts.. arms. There is also plenty of leg and abs. Vision is trying to force You and I and Maison down to take the 6th spot.. and it is being ambitious by tying to take on Odd Eye to crack top 5 at the same time. Not sure if it will crack the top 5. Siyeon just remind the KPop world that she is one of the best. I am going to try my hardest to learn that chorus choreography because it slaps.
actually, I was amazed when 24:47, the 'STATIC' group on the left, when they turned around to the front, that's a great domino too. That was so satisfying when they turned around and matched with the drum in the music. And also, when dami's bridge part, I like how the choreography looks like marching. This song is just like a marching vibe, with the suits they wear in their MV, its just a soldier vibe and have kinda telling us like: COME ON INSOMNIA, LETS GATHER UP, FOLLOW US, GO FIGHT.
I don't have a bias in DC because they are all my bias. I love them each for their separate reasons and quirks. I really really try not to play favorites (I am a dad, for anybody who knows what I mean). That said, DC have in fact become my Ult group in K-Pop and possibly in all of music entertainment. There are some groups and people who are close to the top of the list but DC, like with their genre, have their own list. One of the many things that I love so much about this group and the individuals involved is their professionalism on stage and in practices. They ALWAYS strive to get better and to perfect what they are doing; they look at their previous performances on their phones while they are backstage, trying to figure out how to do such-and-such better or keep the formation tighter or do a move more crisply or how to avoid certain mistakes. When they attend shows during promotions, they STILL keep getting better and better at their choreo throughout the promotion periods. You look at a dance on the first show they do for any song, then look at that same dance on the last show for that promo; they IMPROVE in such a short amount of time! And they just keep improving as dancers overall, throughout years of this. The choreos get better to begin with because the rest of their team also improves. That entire company is full of Top-Tier World-Class artists. AMAZING and I would not have it any other way.
One fun aspect of this comeback is the DC appearance at Idol Radio, where SuA & JiU match up with Hongjoong & Yunho, the two members of Ateez who host the show. To watch such talented dancers interact and learnfrom the hilarious and strict SuA is a treat. Also, I can't stop pointing out the super talented redhead Hwang Sooyeon, the Creative Director for DCC and Chief Choreographer of all these incredible works. She's participating in Vision on the left of the screen, along with her Crew. The former idol trainee is one of the best choreographers I've seen and of course one of the girls. They, mostly the younger ones, including Handong, call her Teacher. The Eonni line call her Baby, Love and Dear!
This is actually one of the main reasons I love Dreamcatcher - they knew going into this repackage that it was highly unlikely they were gonna breakthrough to the mainstream in their homeland. Or even worldwide, to be honest (we live in an era where Rock is commonly referred to as "anime music", like a lot of the current generation doesn't even know what it *is*). But they've stuck to their guns, never compromised and as is the case when talented groups do this, their fanbase found them.
23:19 in this vid, did you see the domino starting with a different formation, echoing to the center constructing a roof or steeple looking picture, then transferring on to a mirrored version of the beginning formation? The creativity here is a pure joy, and full sensory assault at the same time. Man Yoohyeon has been working on her flow, and it is apparent bigtime when you get to see the dance practice framing it properly. When you take the time to analyze their comeback as a whole, it’s just art in multimedia. I was really looking forward to hearing your take on this, and was not disappointed. Thank you for identifying and explaining all these facets of their choreo.
The choreography looked really cool and intricate as is, but seeing it broken down bit by bit by someone who knows what they're talking about made me notice even more things and appreciate it even more
I'm so hyped for the new comeback so to calm down I'm watching people reacting to DC, specially DC's choreos and the more I watch the more I notice how intricate and well thought all of their choreos are. Nowadays my favourite choreos are Maison and Vision.
I think my explanation of so much domino in this choreo is to illustrate the way words move people literally. So everytime one of them does something/sings they all follow to let you see that one person's words echo.
So good. I'd love to see a tower cam for this choreo, because a lot of it seems have perspectives from left or right rather than symmetry down the centre which is kind of cool to me
The first time I watched the dance practice my brain immediately went to La vie en rose by Izone! All the level changes, formations, arm movements, domino effects and musicality just turned up to 11 because, well that's what Dreamcatcher does!!! Hwang Sooyeon just keeps topping herself every comeback with her choreography!!!!!!
Their b-sides prove they aren’t just “that KPop group that uses rock and metal in their instrumentals”. They are outstanding no matter what genre they tackle. But their title tracks. I’ll admit, my faith faltered for a minute. I wondered if they would conform to traditional KPop norms just so that they could finally get their first win. But as you said, they never gave up. And I’m so very proud of them. This song should give them win number three but even if it doesn’t, it’s okay. They don’t need to prove themselves. Not anymore. These women have my heart. And I cannot wait to see them tour again next year.
But to be honest, this time the mini album is like a full rock album LOL This never happen before for their previous album releases. Even Rainy Day could possible be categorized as soft rock genre. This time they comeback as more towards commercial sentimental vibe, overall
Thank you thina for such a gratifying reaction. I just loved the way you analyzed and explained everything. I learned a lot from you. You rock girlfriend!
Another small detail is that they form the vision frame using the two fingers forming the V (pointer and middle finger) instead of using the thumbs like it's the natural thing to do.
I watch a lot of reactions but always save yours until I can take my time and slurp every delicious drop. But, more respectfully, I consider it a master class. I think that "shoulder move" that you discussed is miming reloading a shotgun.
What a great break down, it really helps me appreciate their dance even more. I had noticed the domino arm movement at the end but you pointed out how it happens even earlier. And the fact that you mentioned something at almost every few seconds ... I really feel this song is their best so far. Thanks so much for the detailed explanation 💜
Vision was incredible. I just became a fan as soon as I saw this video drop on Monday. Thanks for reacting to it, it's really cool to see a dancer's pov on some of the kpop choreo. I know you're into kpop, but have you taken a look at some of the jpop/jrock/jmetal stuff? Any of the Babymetal stuff (they are kawaii-metal). They have choreo for ever song they perform live, and is different for each song (they're considered one of the all around best performance bands internationally). You might want to start with Karate, or Da Da Dance, or Headbanger, or Megitsune, or Iine (prounced ee'nay). Be careful of them blocking your vids, use a watermark over it, or pause alot. Another group is a jpop group called OneFive, maybe Underground or La La Lucky, or their earlier stuff Pinky Promise, or BBB (they also have some practice videos). But if you're not interested, that's okay too. Thanks for bringing us great videos.
Oh ! The "Vision" is an really amazing and great song. The more I listen, the deeper and deeper I fall in love with this Vision. Dreamcatcher is scheduled to tour concerts in Germany (Berlin), Netherlands (Tiburg), Poland (Warsaw), U.K (London) and France (Paris) from mid-November to late November this year. As far as I know, ticket reservations are in progress. I went to the New York concert, one of Dreamcatcher's concerts in the United States, in July, this year. It was such an amazing and great concert. Even now, when I think about the concert, I get so excited that my heart trembles and I get goosebumps all over my body. Needless to say, it was just the best concert. 👍 Thanks.
I love how you and other people just in awe watching Dreamcatcher, bcs I definitely feel I'm not alone 😆 And listening to your comment added new perspectives that I haven't realized before 👍
15:34 The step sound (빵!). When an army march, they make that step sound for intimidation (they can do that sound with their helmets or shields too). That’s something I have only hear in the practice video. Dreamcatcher going to fight!😅
Great analysis! Here's what I think about the meaning of Vision: I believe they are showing us the perspective from the future in this series, showing us how the earth looks like when we keep acting like we do. While "Maison" was talking about the destruction of the environment, here they seem to be talking about the destruction due to war. I don't know if that was the idea from the beginning, but Putin's aggression definitely played a role here. In one set they even dance in front of what looks sort of like a huge trident, which is the coat of arms of Ukraine (could be a coincidence though, or I'm seeing things). It is easy to see how the conflict in Ukraine could result in global destruction. It's just a push of a button away. Note that Dami presses a launch button, but it's not for nukes. It's for spreading their message, their vision. Peace. To be heard all around the world. The song is also a call for action, to stand together against aggressors and those who are destroying the planet out of greed. There is not much difference between someone leading an army or a corporation, if the result is destruction. Still, Dami said the intention is to resolve the problems in a peaceful way. So, what do we do? There is no easy answer. Dami has an outfit that shows that perfectly. One half is an innocent bridal dress, the other half is simply badass. What I know is that any aggressor only listens to very limited diplomacy, and they need to know that the good in the world is ready and willing to fight them if needed. Whoever the aggressor is, we are more than them. They need to know they will never succeed, the only option is peace. By the way, my interpretation could be completely wrong, any other theory is perfectly valid as well. Musically, it's heavier than Maison, and I feel it fits the subject matter very well. It sounds aggressive and heavy, but also soft and vulnerable. There is the duality again. And I love the fake keychange at the end of the chorus, the crazy bass and the guitar in the bridge. All in all this is a fantastic release!
i love this era and vision for dreamcatcher so much! and i totally agree with the FOMO comment but tbh i feel a lot of groups feel fomo because of dreamcatcher hehe when you think about it many groups started gravitating towards their concept the past 1-2 years
Her Magic ✨ Put a Spell ✨ on my Mind , Her Fire 🔥Puts a Flame 🔥 in my Heart ❤ , Her Power ⚡is like a Thunder bolt ⚡ that strikes my Soul , She is a Legendary Dreamcatcher ⚔🌙⏳🌹☀🌌🌠👑❄🌏

YOUR REACTION WAS JUST LIKE MINE🤣haha Also I love your hair Thina😆💙it’s adorable & pretty Their choreo is so cool🥲I especially loved the close up with the hands it was awesome
LMAO I'm so dumb I'm 29 and that's me just learning what FOMO meant😂 Or maybe i knew previously but DC pushed it out of my brain to make more space for themselves(which i like the sound if more) so I'm gonna go with that!!🤣🤣
It's soooo good. I can't stop listening to it. Been meaning to ask, since you're an OG KPOP STAN. Do you know if any kpop group/individual has used the line "Don't call it a comeback, I been here for years." by LL Cool J? If no one has, someone should.😆
not sure if any kpop artists have used that exact line but jennie from blackpink says something similar in ‘shut down’: “컴백이 아냐 떠난 적 없으니까” (“it’s not a comeback since we’ve never left”)
I really love that they added the Thunder choreo from BOCA for Yoohyeon's part as just a little nod. I know Handong's part next with the arms really distracts from that but I appreciate the little detial.
Noticed that too. Thunder choreography is the same

I’ve never listened to them before or seen them but I’ll def be getting into them after watching this
This has to be my fave dance to date. Insane detail, storytelling, sharpness and grace. Everything is just Dreamcatcher AF.

Love the reaction as always and the analysis!
This was a savage comeback. Handong owns it. Just wow. Seriously, how are they all 7 so great?
23:19 in this vid, did you see the domino starting with a different formation, echoing to the center constructing a roof or steeple looking picture, then transferring on to a mirrored version of the beginning formation? I get more chills watching the dance practice than the actual MV
So good. I'd love to see a tower cam for this choreo, because a lot of it seems have perspectives from left or right rather than symmetry down the centre which is kind of cool to me
Like all Insomnias, I have my favorite DC choreographies. But man, Vision came to break my bias list 😆
Great reaction and commentary on dance practice. Dreamcatcher and your videos keep getting better. Thanks.

Fyi the person at Sua’s right side (the one with red-ish hair) at 1:37 in the dance practice is one of the choreographer 😊
that bounce move and the clockworks hand movements are my favorite part of the choreo
The moment the MV start..I lose it. BECAUSE THE WAY YOU TRYNA HOLD YOURSELF IS SO ADORABLE I CAN'T
They said that Fairytale got choreo so hopefully we'll get a dance practice video from them and you
Omg really???
@@christianvazquez1835 Yep they said during the comeback showcase live
OMG YASSSS 😭

Exactly, it’s nice to have a translator in dance put together the story of it all.
" She brought her to life and that-t-ts bringing me more to life ! "
wow this is award winning performance....it they dont win something for this , then it proves things are rigged. this is amazing.
Thanks for explaining it! I'm getting more and more impressed with their dance
Finally my favorite K-pop channel reacts to my favorite ult group!
Love you and your work Thina!
P.S. (I'm super sorry if I wrote your name wrong).
Thank you thina for such a gratifying reaction. I just loved the way you analyzed and explained everything. I learned a lot from you. You rock girlfriend!
“I live, I died but now I’m living again”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Amazing analysis
I think this is one of your most detailed dance breakdowns. Probably because it's such an complex choreography. I really enjoyed your analysis.

No idol can be that Talented ,
No Legend can be that Powerful ⚡,
She Truly is above Human ,
she is a Dreamcatcher
Thank you for this. I always love your choreo analysis, so many details I usually don't notice. ♥
I was looking forward to your reaction since I enjoy the technical view you share.
Miss Siyeon look like Storm, X-Men character 🥰
This might actually be my favorite choreo 😋 all their choreos are great, but this one feels like something really special!
Letsss gooooo Dreamcatcher 💜💜
