I am so happy you reacted to this! II suggested not knowing you had reacted. I heard Céline sing this song live aa few times and every time my jaw dropped. This was her "encore" piece she sang a the end of her concert I believe is was 1993. This particular recording was for a TV special filmed through Disney ( she really got their attention after Beauty and the Beast)... the special was filmed in Quebec city and a newly restored ( at the time ) theatre called Le Capitole... the audience was aware it was being filmed and were told that some song might have to be repeated in part or WHOLE to capture the footage for the show. This song she sang 4 times... her vocal cords are made of stainless steel! You can see her (around 3:59 of your video) backing up into the circle of light as she had too be told for lighting ... in any case... it is one her more impressive live recording. She was going to record and release this version but some boy band had just released a version so she opted to treat her fans at her concerts instead. Sooo glad you saw it! :-)
Céline Dion had different vocal periods every era she did.. the 90s vocals were superior because it was her prime era, however.. in the 2002 she released her album "A New Day" that shocked her fans with her soothing vocals ever before! Then she did Las Vegas where she performed over 600 shows and still managed to maintain her vocals and then having a massive World tour in 2007-2008 (Taking Chances Tour). After that she had a break and made a comeback in 2012 and concluded it on 2019. Now she's back with touring the world again with Courage World Tour! She's just amazing ❤
I love y’all reactions to Céline Dion!!!! “I wasn’t gonna do it until I heard all those runs!!” I love it lol I’m rocking with the DNA gang all day everyday
Aweeee thank you so much ❤️❤️ thank you for rocking with us 🥰 we will shout you out in our next video, the next two weeks and prerecorded though so it will be in August 6th ❤️
Great reaction ! I definitely give it a 10 out of 10. The vocals were so awesome and moving , that I was literally in tears because I liked the vocals so well. And yes I do love some Whitney Houston, as well , her death was definitely tragic . But I cannot understand how I have not been listening to more of Celine Dion she just has a phenomenal voice and could probably sing in a choir with just her voice alone.
This was actually 1994... it was a special that was recorded live. It was recorded in Quebec city and the audience knew it was being filmed and that the songs might have to be repeated to get different camera angles and staging etc ( you can see Céline backing up around 3:56 to be in the light circle on the floor that had to be redone). She made this song her call back for her tour the previous year... she was going to release this song but some group released that same song so she decided to not release / record it... it was an AWESOME song to hear live. She is truly a "bête de scène" ( A stage BEAST) once she is on stage she can outdo herself. Her vocal technique also allowed her to maintain her instrument ... anyway you might not read this and I am rambling LOL
@@thisisdnareacts5237 glaad you find it interesting! LoL I Met Céline when II was a student in MTL and BEFORE she was an international star.... I have many stories as I know her, many of her dancers and musicians. I always like to say to people that she is genuinely as nice as she appears.... and she is a big goof and LOVES to share her vocals prowesses. I have yet to hear her equal as far as vocal agility and ability to sing ANY style. She is, in my opinion, a MUSICIAN and her voice is her instrument.... I would not say it is the "prettiest" voice but it is likely the most effective voice and live she is a POWER HOUSE.... but there I go a-ramblin' again. Have a great day . Have fun with your channel discovering some "older" singers.... fun to visit with the magic of the internet.
Wow that’s really cool! We would love to see Celine Dion in concert in upcoming year but who knows, and no worries thank you again ❤️ have a great day!
You should check out "Natural Woman" from Divas live 1998 starring Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Gloria Estefan and Carole King. Loving the reaction videos btw! :)
Hey Manu Rubiales we wanted to contact you and let you know... RUclips has blocked our content for Sola by Diana Navarro, unfortunately it will not be going up today at 12 PM EST! Its currently blocked in all Territories... Sorry 🥺 if you have any other video recommendations let us know!
You guys should check out her inspiring documentary clip called "3 boys and a new show" (Part 1).. it's a 14 minute clip that shows how she managed to end vegas residency then hit the touring road and then having twins! You will surely love it! Link - ruclips.net/video/aoAplv1jWZg/видео.html
People would have be horrified if she did a mic drop. It would have been considered extremely rude, arrogant, condescending, hubris, and unacceptable .... and especially by that demographic. If I saw an entertainer do it, I'd never go see them again.
Is that right? That is definitely a cultural difference! Good to know. Ps I was being facetious. But regardless, thank you for watching the video. I hope you have a wonderful day. ❤️🥰
@@thisisdnareacts5237 Yes, although I think some of it is generational. The culture was far less aggressive back then. Being humble and affable were held in high regard. This said, I felt a little bad for being so negative. I had come back to edit but you'd responded already. Thank you for being so gracious and sweet. Take care and all the best!
Hey gotwestyoungmen! Don’t feel bad. We appreciate your honesty! Because of your honesty, we’ve learned something new. I had no idea that a mic drop was considered negative because in my culture and generation it was considered something that was dope, a signal of confidence and owning the the stage. I’ve also experience it in a more comical settings as well (ie someone mic dropping that has zero talent or stage presence and is Intentionally trying to be comedic, lol 😂). But now I can see how someone can have a vastly different perspective on that action. So, thank you for not biting your tongue. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙏 😃
