As someone who is working on a Board game project that is currently in testing phases on Tabletopia I relate to this video and I think this is again an additional quality content from Mr Tim Chuon ;)
OH awesome!! Can't wait to hear more about the project! Happy to hear that you resonate with the rulebooks and thanks as always for supporting the channel!
I'm working on a rule book right now and this has been extremely helpful. I've used every information as a checklist and help to structure the writing.
Thank you for this very valuable and thoroughly detailed video. All of your suggestions are very logical. Now I can see so many issues with the first version of the rule book that I have written for my game! I'm gradually making my way through your various steps and implementing the necessary changes.
The worst rulebook that I took in my hands was for Skytear. It was absolutely impossible to grasp the rules from those pages. Even designers were aware of this, since they issued a new "learning" rulebook. A sort of "learn as you play" rulebook. That was awful as well. On the other hand Fantasy Flight makes very good, clear and detailed rulebooks. They usually come in two books: "Learn to Play" and "Rules Reference Guide"
If I were a teacher for a class of elementary school students and I were to give them a class assignment to make their own board games, how should I go about this?
Hi Tim! Do I need to add any absolutely legal disclaimers to my 1 page game instruction sheet to protect me from any liabilities and also to protect my right to the copyright of my game for my game I designed in The Game Crafter? Thanks!
ah that's a great question! Shoot-i'm no expert on that at all so i'm not sure and don't want to give you an answer i'm not confident in! maybe try the bgg forums-they might help you get a better answer!

@@TimChuon Thanks Tim! You mean the Facebook group?
Of course you do.
Especially your right to the copyright of the game.
