@@hermitcraftsnippets They may be referring to season 8 where Mumbo undercut Grian's deepslate shop with a store called cheapslate. They then pranked each other till Grian bought out Mumbo and it was resolved.

the point of subtitles is to help people with hearing issues. changing the words around in the subtitles like that is really unhelpful and its why youtube stopped letting people add subtitles easily in the past
The text in the video is not meant to serve as subtitles, but as a humoristic commentary to what is being said in the video. Fortunately, it is also possible to turn on actual subtitles, by clicking on the "text block" icon below the video.
Of course, this advice is really unhelpful to visually impaired people. For which I profusely apologize.

This is also why the "subtitles" are not maintained for the entire length of the video, also with the assumption that those who use actual subtitles would have them on by default. However, this is one of the few videos I finessed less, so I could see where you're coming from. it's definitely something I could improve in the future edits. Thank you to you two for having this discussion in a diplomatic matter :)
why do you change the subtitles to be inaccurate? It doesn't add comedy or context or anything it just makes it harder to understand the actual words being said for those who rely more or entirely on subtitles like me.

This is also why the "subtitles" are not maintained for the entire length of the video, also with the assumption that those who use actual subtitles would have them on by default. If you want to watch the original video, the season and episode number are already included on the top left corner. However, this is one of the few videos I finessed less, so I could see where you're coming from. Thanks for pointing this out, it's definitely something I could improve in the future edits.

glad I found your reply over here lol, I was scrolling the comments confused while barely 12 sec in since it said “interrupted by a message from a ninja” and it made no sense to me and I didn’t understand why it was wrong. I also don’t get why replacing that would be a joke, how would getting a message be the same as a ninja? Oh well 😅
