When these toys were made blue LEDs were more expensive than other colors. And Hasbro wanted no part of that. It’s also the reason for the POTF2 light-up Obi-Wan having a green saber.
Great stuff again! Love the flashback to TPM. That was the toy line that got me back into collecting. Was going to get a handful and call it a day. Nope, became a full on addiction. I might have an extra loose POTJ Gungan with shield.
Those look like they'll fit along nicely for the background. It's always good to get these world building accessories and really they don't do that as much although arguably it was the kind of thing that diminished as time went on and things were cut back more. If Hasbro started pumping out creatures and accessory packs and also army builders on the regular and not just the Republic, Rebel and Imperial troops but the alien troops as well like the Gungans or Ewoks or whatever they'd probably be making a lot of money. An army builder pack of Gungans with an updated Tarpels would be great to have I'm sure people would buy it. So many people are out there building dioramas or 3D printing them from scratch and little things like these would go a long way to making a good looking piece for photography or just having things on shelves. Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next video.
If you get two Fembaa's you can put the cannon on top of one, if you watch the movie the cannon shots a beam from one Fembaa to the other to power the shields around the gungens.
I’ve started my episode 1 journey too! I had just 5 figures back in 1999 (I was 22) and in the last few weeks I’ve picked up 5 more for £4 or less. Enjoying the hunt. I have a very vivid memory of being in a Woolworths when the merch hit in 1999 and wanting to buy it all but thinking I was too old to buy toys so I made do with the ps1 game instead. Now I’m on the hunt - they remind me of the force link figures and I just love the fact they are easy to find and dirt cheap - and they talk! Stickiness is the only downside on some but a little rinse and they seem to be fine
@@OnlyOneKenobi yeah that’s a nice set. I’m gonna pace myself before hitting the big stuff as no room! Hoping to find some ep 1 stuff at Celebration. I’ve got a thing for the Naboo royal guards - I have about 5 TVC ones, I just love the maroon and outfits and the rainbow helmets for some reason. Anyway man, keep it up - really enjoy these reviews / unboxing
Very nice Nick. the room is looking good. I'm surprised that the batteries in that catapult still worked! I thought I had something special when I bought a SAGA collection era AOTC R2-D2 on card that still li up and made sounds after 20 years. LOL. But I think you take the record now for the oldest toy I've seen where the demo batteries still work.
I loved the gungan catapult so much in your previous video with it, I ordered one.The stickiness of the boombas went away with some water. The batteries don't work anymore though.
There tons of those accessory packs for Episode 1. I bought so many of them, and I don’t think I have even 20% of the collection. With this said, they’re worth absolutely nothing now, which is good and bad.
Someone sent me a message on Sunday with images of thise last 6 (which I only saw tonight in my inbox) and I actually wondered if someone like usual mike would post... haha
Slightly off-topic but I was reminded again to ask while watching, as you've got the blinds open. Have you got any kind of UV protection on your windows?
Lucas didn’t really give the proper attention to the Battle of Naboo in “Phantom” but as Queen Amidala said, “The battle is a diversion”. 🤔 Production of a booma, not to mention transportation of such a weapon would have been great to see a montage of. 🥹Maybe a sign above the Gungans that would read: “14 cycles since last onsite accident”. 😂

The Naboo battle is great, I liked it more than the Pod racing even🙊🤦♂️ I liked that you have finally lost your marbles!🤪🤣 Cheers🍻👍
Defo need to get those Gungans with a shield from POTJ line! Thanks for the comment Dan! 🙏👌🏼😉
Another great phantom menace line review! I would like to pick this up for myself soon!
You should! 😉 but seriously, there's an absolute treasure trove of stuff from Episode 1... been loving collecting it of late! 👌🏼
I'll say it everytime I can, get that flash speeder! It's awesome. And has a really cool battle damage feature!
I definitely will man! Definitely on my radar! 😉👌🏼💙
@@OnlyOneKenobi you can find it for a steal with patience too
And you could make use of those Phantom Menace figs when they are planning the battle of Naboo!

Nice additions to the collection OOK. When I can, I'll measure up the Fambaa to see how tall it is, plus the energy pack that sits on the back.
Oh Dez, YES please, that'd be great, thank you 🙏
It'll give me the excuse to finally open it up!

@@OnlyOneKenobi ahh that explains why you can live in the light! I need to get something like that sorted too :)
The Famba is about 14 1/2 inches tall. That almost 37 cm in Brit terms. 😂
Also, there is a Captain Tarpels on Kaadu also.
That's 6ninch though right... the Tarples....
@@OnlyOneKenobi 3.75. He was in an OTC multipack called naboo final conflict.
@@DarthPantherJ well, I'll definitely keep an eye out for that! 😉👌🏼
Mandalorian episode 2 was better, that thing I won't say the name of because I don't want spoil it for anyone.
I never got round to reviewing yesterday... but will try later today! 👌🏼
