Kyle, A little off the topic of this video, but I wonder in your ice fishing is some mighty cold temps. What to you wear to stay warm. I have the striker ice and love both the security of the float and the warmth. I do take off the jacket once in the shack and don't put it back on for some quick forays outside.............just come back into the shack to warm up. Nice perch and really enjoy all your effort in making these fine video's. Bill
Hey Bill, I do as well wear striker bibs and their fusion hoody it’s a great light weight combo. For boots I have Norfin which I’ll be doing a video on this stuff actually!
I have never been ice fishing. First fish I ever caught was a perch though. Used to love eating fried perch. Dad and I would head up to a place called Deercreek reservoir and stop in provo canyon at an old guys house to buy some worms, and old fellow with 1 eye i think...the state stole his property and ran him out of the canyon. The Reservoir is iced over right now, but its not really safe. the water level goes up, the edges thaw, and its a slushy mess even though there is 8 to 12 inches of ice out on the thing...people fall in every year and die.
those first 2 perch were tank's, that one fish didn't want to go backbin the lake. I find bigger perch usually in 2 to 4 fow too!. people think I'm crazy 🤪.
How are you liking beaver dams new noodle rods? I have one myself and I’ve been catching all sorts of panfish with it. For only 16 dollars I’d say these rods are worth the money just in there sensitivity alone.
