Cadillac China has been delivering Lyriq RWD starting from early October. The total number of Lyriq for October is over 700. AWD version will be delivered at the end of this year. BTW these Lyriq were made in China.
There is a difference between having a place on the pre-order list ($100 refundable deposit) versus actually have a real order that includes paint color, wheels, AWD, etc. AND a price. My dealer said he has 50 on the pre-order list and only 5 confirmed allocations until the end of the year 😞. GM is sitting on a big wad of interest free cash at it customers’ expense.
UPDATE: I spoke to my dealer and he said they are scheduled to get 3 within the first two weeks of January. He has no information about how many cars they will get Q1 or Q2. The FWD cars are not even in production yet. 😥
If they haven't even made the cars yet they should give the owners waiting for their cars the option of the changes like the door handles. Are they still giving the 2 year free charging/charging pad or was that only for the debut? Love your videos. Thx
I’m concerned when my 2023 Lyriq AWD will arrive. Thinking it’ll be spring of 2023 at the earliest now. The only ones I’ve seen on the road here in Michigan have manufacturer plates.
i actually want the current door handles given the winters in the midwest. i am fine with waiting as i bought an EV6 while i waited for my delivery. as to the 2024 mode year, well the are pros and cons to that... you will have more options, but at a higher price. personally, i am fine with waiting for those that wanted the debut models to work out the kinks.
Yeah, I think I mentioned this to you before. I think that some AWD purchases may end up being 2025. I think they may have more orders than they can currently build. I also think that some of the delay was getting that Warren battery plant up to speed.
I love my Lincoln Black Label Continental and may keep it. If the interior of the Lyriq matches the Lincoln I would go forward with taking my on-order Lyriq. What is most attractive about the Lyriq is the expected snappiness of the acceleration (although the 400hp engine in my Lincoln is very quick) and the availability of Super Cruise. My decision may also be impacted by the return to full value of my investments which have taken a real hit under the Biden administration.
For the charge door, there's a manual release cable under the hood. For the doors, there is a manual release from inside (have to get in from the trunk though).
@@billjohnson3344 Hmmmm…. Doesn’t help much if you are locked out of your vehicle. Thanks for your response however. Wonder if the designers/engineers considered this?
@@rdcoupal If you are locked out of your car, that's a different problem then a dead battery. In that case, you can use the app - or Onstar can unlock it remotely for you. Not sure what situation you think hasn't been covered.
Great information regarding the app and on-star. Thank-you. I suppose I am looking at worst-case scenarios where I are faced with both a dead battery and “OOPS” all doors are locked as I am scratching my head in bewilderment. Now what?
As far as I have been told by Cadillac and my dealer, they are not taking orders on the AWD models yet and probably won’t until the end of the year at earliest. If you have a preorder from March or May you will be contacted to place an order with the dealer you selected once that dealer has an allocation. With regards to your comment about advertising, yeah, I’ve seen plenty. I’ve also received a number of email solicitations from Cadillac and it pisses me off. Don’t advertise something you can’t deliver and do a better job of managing the overall process.
GM seems to have grossly underestimated the demand for this vehicle. I just put a reservation down for a 2024 but I don’t have high hopes.
GM builds 4,000 cars over a 2 year time period. Heck, Tesla builds 4,000 cars a day.
Yessssss I agree 😥
I was able to test drive the RWD last weekend and it is amazing. Rides smooth, very roomy looks even better in person.
My local dealer just got one for the showroom this weekend, it does look much better in person. I can't wait to test-drive it!
It has not come to my area yet still waiting

I've heard that the all-wheel drive look at pushed back to close to fall of 2023
I can't wait that lon😔g
Many of us with Debut Edition orders still do not have production dates!

I paid my dealer 1000$ back in September 2021 + the 100$ deposit when I placed my order (wheels, color, etc.). Still no info or ETA.

Introducing the new 2024 all electric Cadillac Lyriq! Available at your Cadillac dealer in 2028! 🤔

GM is out of sync with - 1. advertising - 2. production -3. public perception of where the process is.
I so agree with that👍

Has anyone else wondered how one opens the car or charger door if the battery is totally flat dead?😢
Is it electronic?

Awd probably won’t be available until spring or summer
Your audio sounds overdriven and is distorted. May want to work on that. Perhaps the channel should be renamed to Cadillac Overdriven?
Really. You have nothing else to do i guess
