  • Marianne Jean-Baptiste came to Wac Arts in London in July 2013 to meet the students and enjoy their devised show entitled ‘Loop’. They were thrilled to meet her and get her positive feedback. Marianne told them how lucky they were. ‘You have sprung floors, a leak proof roof and locks on the toilet doors - I’m jealous!’ When she attended classes at Wac Arts it was based in Kentish Town and she missed out on the move to the Grade II listed Hampstead Town Hall.
Marianne started her drama training at Wac Arts and, on completing her training at RADA, returned to prepare aspiring actors for their auditions for drama school.
On that visit, she was amazed to re-connect with so many of her peers including Danny Sapani and Martina Laird, as well as her former students now working in the industry. She said, ‘It’s lovely to be back and see that the Wac family is still giving young people the support they need to achieve in life.’

Wow I never new she was English! I watched her on Without A Trace and never detected an English accent. I could tell Poppy Montgomery's Australian twinge and Anthony Lapaglia's somewhat although they were very good. But hers I had no clue. She's a very good actress. I'm pretty good at detecting accents from actors but she fooled me.
