Have the same camera and shot many wedding as secondary photographers and love the camera. However, I have hard time telling the difference even with my iPhone 7 Plus 7 years ago for travel photo. I decided not to carry the camera for travelling 5 years ago. Now it is only used for long range capture. Sad to see it is not much use now and not much value in used market. Phone is just so good for most photo, I would argue even for wedding now.
Just to clarify, when I mentioned in the video about the Canon maybe being a bit better still , I honestly prefer the look of the iPhone photographs on the majority of these taken today. I guess what I meant to say is that with proper lighting and the ability to switch lenses, etc. I still believe the SLR is a bit more capable for more photo scenarios. However, the iPhones do great and without much tweaking or editing the photos look very good in their default form.
I've got the 1000d, picked it up off ebay for super cheap, waiting on my 50mm lens to come in, can't wait to play around with it and learn. I've a very new noob to photography. What lens do you use?
Love it, have the same 1000D for over 14 years now, was wondering whether it was still worth lugging around when I have an iPhone in my pocket ….
Haha cool! It’s been a great camera. It can still out do the iPhone in ways, but for day to day pics the iPhone is always there!
