Questions -like What are the first steps into transitioning?
• Do you have to go to your PCP you already have?
• do you have to be referred to a therapist by your PCP or could you already have your own?
Ke’aunte’ Ke’aunte the army assigns you a pcp as far as on the civilian side I'm sure whatever insurance you have should tell you who your doctor is.. As far therapy if you have insurance they should cover it.. And tell you which ones they cover. I was a strap ahead and found a therapist on the civilian side an payed out of pocket. For her counseling and for my top surgery letter it depends on your state.
But the first thing is therpy because that's who has to diagnose you in the first place to get any surgery or start hRT
queer King alright cool, well I already have my pcp & I have already had an therapist for a while now.
So the first thing would mention it to my doctor? Or it really doesn’t matter? Because I have already mentioned it to my therapist about wanting to transition but I haven’t went back for my next appointment yet.
Ke’aunte’ Ke’aunte i would wait to see what your therapist says honestly.. And that should determine if you should talk to your pcp if you need further information or help

The army should give you a 90day supply ets but the VA will give it to you for free on the civil side

I meb over the summer and all the meds they had on record they gave me a 90 day supply.....and I went thru the VA to get my T.... waiting on it in the mail now!!
Ogechi DName oh ok cool i was gonna ask my doctor about that. So you just found a VA office near you and went there and told them your situation or was they already tracking?
queer King when u get out, enroll yourself @ the nearest VA to you. When u get your first appoint with your primary care doc they will refill any medication you had while in the military. You just have to tell them what you need.

Aye yooo I been watching you since your nine inch strap days lol. I been wanting to leave a few comments for a while now & I just haven’t but I can’t help but to now. I been going through the waves of wanting to transition & I would look up other trans men but when I found out you were transitioning & I started finding out a lot more then what I can research. Hell I have even wrote other trans guys & get no response but, thanks for the positivity & motivation. Yeah I have questions.

My ex just started T about a month ago and so far she has been feeling really good. Unfortunately she doesn't live with me anymore so I can't see the changes first hand on a everyday basis but she definitely seems to be happier. She recorded her first shot and for me it was hard to watch because I hate needles but I do think it will help her in the long run. I say go for it record your journey because it may help someone else in the long run.
