- Any excuse to get up into the mountains is good by me, but to be able to enjoy cycling, photography and the Tour de France all at the same location is just EPIC!!!

Epic episode John, we really felt immersed in both the mountains and the atmosphere of the tour. Your energy and enthusiasm for the tour and mountains is infectious 👍
Sooooooooooooo envious of your bucket hats, lol. Oh, and the lad with the sack for the bottles and food bags - genius!
I'm really enjoying this series of videos from a spectators perspective. I've watched the race on the telly for years but have never seen it as a spectator on the road. Thank you!
I love this sort of content John , you can lose yourself in it. As photographers you’ll understand why we like this , it has everything worth looking at. Best wishes Helen and Martin
You come into your own when you're up a mountain ❤
Another fantastic video, John. It was your videos of riding your MiRider in the mountains last year that persuaded me that a folding bike with cute tiny wheels could cope with our Welsh hills and forests. I bought one in November and not regretted that purchase. The scenery brought tears to my eyes. Sad to see Cav going past. Heartbreaking ending to his final Tour.
The bike is amazing considering its tiny size.
The day we saw Cav and then to find out what happened took us from an amazing high to a real low, I really hope he comes back for another year.
Loved every minute of that. Unless you've been up a mountain, you've no idea how fricking steep they are. I take my hat off to the lads who cycle up there and to you for demonstrating the grandeur of the mountains and the excitement of the day.
Love the cow bells it reminds me of Switzerland. Watching your tour de France is better than the TV footage
Fantastic, the cow bells were quite relaxing lol. You really make your MiRiDER work for you. Love the people on the road side encouraging you. The night shots and the morning shots were brilliant, can see why you like the mountains. Nice to have the slower pace of the race to see the cyclists. Fantastic x
Stunning views. Seeing the sunset was amazing. Loved it all. Thank John.
Thanks for the great video of the TdeF . Brought back great memories of my visits in the 1990’s. 🎉❤😊
Excellent video John. The views, the TDF and the atmosphere and anticipation. Marvellous.
“Top o’ the world Ma” as Jimmy Cagney once said…great ride, beautiful views 👍
Stunning Views,
Glad you got there a day earlier, Lots of good parking stops were taken already.
Did I say "Stunning Views," WoW
Someone even shouted out JOHN on your way up.
If there were a speed camera on the way down. "CLICK" Speeding fine. LoL
Glad your enjoying it.
Take care and ride safe
Yes, there were a few of our subscribers there on the stage, we had a a good chat with them.
WOW! I forgot to watch this one when I got the notification but gosh, brilliant! What gorgeous scenery and I LOVED being taken along for that bike ride, the descent looked exhilarating. And scary. 😅 Thank you so much for these beautiful videos. That sunset was incredible. ❤
Wow, thank you for sharing that sunset. Some amazing scenery!
Wow what a great vlog John. Really captured the atmosphere, the beauty of the location.
Awesome John. Really looking forward to the rest of the Tour. 🚲
Jeez, those cow bells must drive the cows absolutely nuts! Maybe that's where the expression "mad cow" comes from 😂
Riding your bike through through the mountains. Your as free a a bird John...Happy times ❤
That sunset and cloud formation gives you some idea of what heaven must be like John ❤
they say you make you're own luck, but boy did you get lucky there. Awesome
A lovely and awe inspiring video to watch from a RAINY Manchester...... hope you're both having an epic TdF
What a great way to see the tour, epic views and a great vibe. Thanks for sharing your trip
John, the sunset scene was tremendous. To see the sun setting and the peaks poking through the low clouds must have been amazing. Worth all the effort to get there for the exhilarating ride back down. As for the tdf , the atmosphere and camaraderie of the crowds is brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant! Thank you, John!
It is amazing how manny "snails " are in the mountain!!! Great video again. Thanks.
Snails definition= the snail carrys his own home while travelling.
I can't wait to be a snail...
Awesome & stunning scenery. Great video John keep them coming👍
Lot of fun John seeing them all going through! Great vid mate!👌
Loved it 👍 ticked all your boxes 👍 so nice to see 👍 your happiness is infectious 😍👍 ... 😘🤗❤👵🐾🐾🐾🤠 xxxx
😊 thank you
Loved that, what an epic stage. The scenery was amazing too.
Wow! Absolutely loved this episode ❤️. The drone shots were awesome. The sunset epic, just brilliant. Wishing I had been there too!
That little bike is
incredible . Shame it's so expensive. You certainly deserve a discount for showing off it's capabilities.
I'm wondering if it could tow a trailer for my 2 little doggies.
Mountains are so beautiful but the windy narrow roads are a bit of a challenge. We'll done John x
Awesome video with absolutely stunning scenery and photography. Wow the mirider performed exceptionally well both going up and coming back down. Many thanks John for sharing it all with us great
Wow - what an epic upload ! 👍 Breathtaking mountain scenery, a beautiful sunset, stunning drone footage - and you tanking down a mountain road at over 30mph on your tiny wheeled bike...
That caravan was amazing as well - loved the big fruit and chicken-mobiles.
You certainly chose a great spot to watch the race, with the riders so well spread out. Just hope you didn't run out of crisps, beer and donuts...😂 Keep up the great work...
Wow, some places on Earth make you feel the amazing grandeur of creation! I feel your excitement.
Love the cow bells! It sure sounded like you were going faster than 33 mph on your bike. I was nervous when you were coming down but you did an excellent job. So fun to watch the riders go by. And being above the clouds is so interesting. Thanks for the entertainment.
That was the coolest TdF vlog. I was nervous when You Rode down the mountain.
Cows are all nice and scenic, very touristy until the buggers start munching outside your door at 4 in the morning!
Wow what a incredible sunset 😮
Really enjoy the race, got me hooked I’m glued to the telly!👍
Fantastic views of the mountains John
Some amazing shots John, love the sunset. Thanks for the coverage. Great drone filming. I don’t notice the bells anymore, I love them, lull me to sleep the Perpignan side of the Pyrenees to you. From Jo in France 🇫🇷
Nice one John 👍 a gruelling race indeed. Spectacular scenery when clouds allowed ..
Stay Free and Safe Travels 😀
Great video John ,top views good to see parts of race in the country, well done Tony Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺
The sunset and cloud inversions were spectacular, John. Every time I see the caravan it reminds me of that scene from Close Encounters when they're all waiting at the roadside for the wee alien crafts to whizz by with all their lights and noises. Fantastic!
Absolutely stunning 🤩. We love our MiRiders too and take ours in our Sprinter campervan folded up under the bed. We bought them thanks to your recommendation. Thanks John 😊👌
Beeauutiful pictures John. Just smashing.
Wow such beautiful scenery, be hard to leave that!! Thanks for this one John!
Wow, that was awesome John, so exciting
Fabulous one John. Mountains are definitely the best place to be. Cycling along the route was epic. Especially with all the wonderful people. Makes it so special. Picked the best time to do it as well. Shame it was not the same as le tour came past. What an experience though
Breathtaking beautiful video... 👌
Now that was an epic video, brilliant stuff loved it chief ❤
That scenery was amazing. The atmosphere and cameradery must have been very special. I am looking forward to going into the French Pyrenees at the end of August for a motorcycling holiday with my son. Thank you for the preview.
Absolutely loved this. My favourite parts are your little haunts out on your mirider. I’d love to get one for our van but think the hubby would kill me if I bought another expensive gadget. It would be awesome though! 😊
Breath taking views ⛰️
What a lovely video, amazing what that little bike can do. Fabulous scenery and loved the cheers you got from the crowds!
Hari OM
Fantabyoulush, John!!! Crikey though, mate, hope you have some extra brake pads with you for the MiRider! YAM xx
One of the best videos I've seen for a long time👍👍
Nothing is as beautiful as nature it can bring you to tears. Beautiful vlog John, I can only imagine how amazing that felt to be totally alone with just the cows and that sunset. I thought the IOM put a good show on with the TT but wow what a party atmosphere….brilliant.
Stunning John, simply magic. You captured the scenery brilliantly and the scene waiting for the race to pass was spot on. Those tyres do give a racing soundtrack on the downhill, no need for a bell, it seems. I'll watch it again on the TV to capture the full effect. Great haul, by the way. Treats for the family no doubt on your return. Take care. 👋
I’d have used my bell but it broke a week ago 🤦🏼♂️
@GadgetJohn I know, I noticed, but didn't want to feed the trolls. 😉
Wow !!!! Bloomin hek John that was freakin awesome was glued to the screen watching ....one of the best 👍🚐
Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did 😎👍🏻
Loved this even though I don’t like cycling!
great video, stunning scenery and amazing sunset. and i do love the mountains when you are higher than the clouds.
Wow brilliant photography John I was spellbound enjoyed every minute look forward to the next vlog.
Oh my days mate what a view 👍 absolutely stunning 😁
WOW what else can be said. Stunning views
Fantastic filming John . Loving seeing the TDF from an actual spectator viewpoint xx
As someone who achieved 50 mph on my free mountain bike that came with my mobile phone coming back from Anglesey on the A55 I can say you are a braver man than me travelling at 33 mph on those pram wheels .. excellent work really enjoyed it.
It’s a very stable bike, very much rides like a bmx and so gives you a lot of confidence.
Very impressive bike.
Your bike ride was awesome!WOW
Brilliant video, loved that sunset, goodness that ride back down seemed bit fast😂😂😏thanks again for some great footage
Amazing video, awesome sunset, magnificent Mirider mountain climb ❤
Great video John, epic scenery 😊
Basically Epic. Loved the sunset and the shadow of you on the mountain side riding up. MiRider looks cool out of budget sadly
Great view you don’t normally see
Beautiful scenery love the clouds, great vlog 👍👍👍
Wow! Fabulous. Would love to get my Mirider on that road !
Another great video glad it cleared up for you ❤
Epic and what a sunset
Absolutely stunning ❤
Awsome john must say you captured the atmosphere perfectly great vid keep doing it your way ignore all the tw-ts
Stunning vid John!
Absolutely stunning,!!!❤
Wow the light and the sharpness of the camera. The shot 4:39 does not look real...it looks like a green screen 😯🥰
Amazing footage John really enjoy this content brilliant, but please on decents like that please were gloves you'll be down to your bones in know time , keep it up mate 👍
Wonderful views, great atmosphere. 👍🏻🙂
daredevil John, what next m8, superfast e scooter or motorbike :)
Nice 1
Amazing footage, Thanks for sharing John 👍
Great views and that is sum bike 🚲
This was basically kind of epic to follow, I will not be able to do this in person but I feel like I had an eye there with you.
Wonderful. A new way (for me) to see Le Tour. 😊
Great video John. Stunning views
Wow! That WAS epic!!
Tanks John 🎉
Thanks
Loved the descent 😍
That was absolutely amazing to watch John, Thankyou for taking us along with you. Epic scenery, did you give a What 3 words reference please?
There was the name of the ski resort at the top 👍🏻
It looked like you were standing in front of a green screen, with the scenery projected on it
What a great vlog John! The scenery there is amazing and the way you capture everything is something else. You took quite a number of shots on your iPhone… which one do you use these days to get such great photos and video?
Your mi-rider is something else too but I’d be too scared to go the speeds you were on it, that’s for sure 😂. Keep on at it!!
Thanks, I’m used to the Mirider now & find it very stable and comfortable. My phone is used for at least 50% of all my videos and it’s the iPhone 14 pro max.
Thanks for doing this, another insight in to Le Tour and van life. After the riders have passed, are you able to watch the stage on tv? If so, please could you explain how to do this?
We stream the Tdf as it’s shown live on Eurosport to keep up with the action.
Great vlog John 👍
