It was Disco's re-invention 👍 New York and Chicago,doin their thing. At the same time, Detroit was taking Kraftwerk,and shaping it into Techno. Disco never died,it just evolved. As for the poppy stuff,it continued in Manhattan and the Bronx,as well as Miami later in the 80s,becoming Freestyle
But,yes,of the three,House is Life Itself! In my 20s,I lived for weekends at Vinyl in NYC,dancing till 10am the next morning,and not being able to hear for two days,lol
